WARNING Sold us a car saying it was inspected regularly- turns out we have to replace the entire transmission. Sales reps gave us a terrible trade in value of $2,500 when we payed almost $9,000 for the vehicle just 2 weeks ago. Edit 2 weeks later: The price to fix the vehicle is JUST AS MUCH as we bought it for (Price below, not including the additional motor oil leak). The car also didn't pass a safety check, although they said it had been done already.

BEWARE Mainland buyers!! I recently purchased a diesel BMW X5 from Aloha Auto Depot as an out-of-state buyer, and it has been the worst car-buying experience of my life. I feel completely cheated and misled. The salesperson, "Uncle Sam," presented a BMW dealership inspection report stating the vehicle had no issues. As this was my first time buying from Hawaii (but not my first out-of-state purchase), I trusted this report. That was a massive mistake. Upon delivery to the mainland, the first red flag was the car's condition--it hadn't even been vacuumed, let alone detailed, showing a complete lack of care. Attached pictures are from the delivery date. The real problems emerged when I started driving. I immediately felt a power issue. I took it to my local BMW dealership, who found critical, undisclosed mechanical failures: a faulty transfer case that needs replacement and a leak in the rear of the valve cover. None of these major issues were mentioned in the "clean" inspection report provided by Aloha Auto Depot. When I tried to address these issues, "Uncle Sam" completely ghosted me. He stopped taking my calls and responding to my messages, leaving me with a broken car and mounting repair bills. WARNING TO MAINLAND BUYERS: If you see a car you like in Hawaii, DO NOT rely on their inspection reports. I was shown a fake document. You MUST fly out to inspect the vehicle personally or hire a truly independent third-party inspector. I learned this the hard way because I couldn't find a specific model on the mainland. I am now seeking legal help to recover the costs of these repairs. Save yourself the immense hassle and financial burden--look elsewhere. This dealership is not trustworthy.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - I REGRET BUYING FROM HERE purchased a vehicle from this dealership, and just two months later, it needed a major $3,600 repair. During the test drive, I asked about a strange noise the car was making because it didn't seem normal. When I brought it up to Jacob, he claimed he didn't know what it was but showed me a "squeaky clean" mechanic report where everything had supposedly passed inspection. Out of concern, I looked it up myself and found that the noise could either be typical for a hybrid or a sign of a faulty brake actuator. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the latter. When I brought it to a mechanic for the repair, they immediately identified the noise as a failing brake actuator and said that any dealership familiar with hybrids should have recognized it right away. This experience has left me feeling misled and disappointed. I would advise anyone shopping here to get a second opinion from an independent mechanic before purchasing. It's a risky choice going with Aloha Auto Depot.

Proof the salesman said they replaced the transmission.

I would never recommend this dealer to anyone! I bought a vehicle from them and was lied to them. We had a contract for them to make all the repairs on the vehicle to fix the check engine lights. They did fix the catalytic converter but their own repair shop stated the transmission required replacing that was throwing a check engine light. Once I took possession of the car I had a check engine light within 2 weeks. Contacted my sales person and he stated they did change the transmission but could never find the invoice because they sent it out to somewhere else. I have proof that their shop said it needed replacement and that the sales person said they replaced it, but they didn't. Do not trust anything they say or even write down. They will ignore you until after the 30 day warranty on the work they did. I would put negative stars if I could. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!

My mom has dementia, although Jay wasn't aware of that. Even so, he took the time to explain everything thoroughly, patiently walking us through every step of the process and making sure we understood everything. What could have been a stressful experience turned out to be smooth, comfortable, and completely pressure-free. Jay gave us a fair and honest offer, and we truly appreciated his professionalism, kindness, and genuine care throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Jay and his team to anyone looking to sell their vehicle. The office was also very clean and welcoming, and they even offered us hot or cold beverages while we waited. Thank you, Jay, for making this such a positive experience!

Title: Disappointed - Vehicle Issues Within 30 Days…read more I purchased a Mercedes from this dealership less than 30 days ago and have driven it under 600 miles since purchase. The vehicle has 58,000 miles and was sold to me "as-is." Shortly after purchasing the car, I began experiencing significant vibration during cold starts when the vehicle is placed in gear while stopped. This is not something I would expect from a properly inspected luxury vehicle at this mileage. What concerns me most is the lack of response. I have reached out multiple times to address the issue, but I have not received any reply. Even for an "as-is" vehicle, customers should expect transparency, basic roadworthiness, and communication when problems arise shortly after purchase. I am simply asking for accountability and a response. I will update this review if the dealership chooses to resolve the issue professionally.

While this is a long review, if you're seriously considering buying a car from this dealership, please read to the end. I purchased a used car (5/25/2026) on the condition that the dealership would address the check engine light, the taillight that was out, and detail the vehicle (the car was sitting in the upstairs showroom, not prepped for sale and filthy). It wasn't ready until 5/29; however, while on its way to be delivered, the check engine light went on again -also, that day, sales guy, Skylar, informed me the lender wanted an additional $599 for down payment. I told Skylar I no longer wanted the vehicle because I realized I'd continue having issues and I wasn't going to pay more down. The owner, Rima, called, assured me I wouldn't have any major issues moving forward and that they'd write off the extra $599. I begrudgingly agreed to take the car against my better judgment, based on his assurances. Within a week, the taillight was out again... took half a week approximately to get Skylar to provide information about having it fixed. They sent me to their "sister" shop, who replaced the bulb. The following day, light was out again. That shop discovered the light assembly was damaged due to water intrusion and had to order a part (estimated three week ETA). On July 2nd, I took the vehicle in to an independent shop for a standard oil change since the dealership told me, after the fact (of the purchase) that they don't usually change oil on used vehicles prior to sale. Would've been great to know that in advance. During the oil change, the threads pulled out with the drain plug which, according to the shop manager, is caused by the last person to change the oil because of either cross threading or over torquing. Now I'm hit with a $752 bill to replace the entire oil pan (aftermarket part... had they used an original part, it would've cost over $1000). This is more than 10% of what I currently own on the vehicle. I made repeated attempts to reach Rima through both text and email on the 2nd. He finally reached out that night, just before 8pm. He asked that I take the car to the dealership to have their people "verify (my) concerns" and he was informed it couldn't be since it's undrivable. He asked what the symptoms were... I told him none because I was simply being proactive by engaging in basic maintenance. His response? "With no symptoms, this may be outside of our parameters to try to assist". I sent three more texts after, all went ignored. Rima, you are the owner. What do you mean it's outside your parameters to "try to assist"? After two unsuccessful attempts to have this situation rectified via email, and no direct response from Rima (as a reminder, he is the OWNER) (and only one text from his shop guy, Dennis, to tell me Rima wouldn't work with me), I filed complaints with both BBB and DCCA. This dealership and, more importantly, the owner, is shady as hell. Check out all the other reviews and come to your own conclusions. I'd strongly suggest looking for any other dealership if you're hoping to have a functional vehicle - keep in mind that I had the vehicle for a total of 1 month and 3 days before it became unusable. I made the mistake of not looking at the reviews prior to walking into this dealership. Don't be like me and save yourself unnecessary stress and headaches. For anyone else who has had issues with this dealership, feel free to reach out to me. It's time Rima be forced to face the consequences of fraudulent business practices.
