I initially went to this place because of all the good yelp reviews. I started with a search on their website and found two cars I was interested in. I texted about one and right away I got a text back with the car's info (photo and all) that asked when I would like to come see it. I texted right back..and waited for a response, I heard nothing. Given I was ready to buy a car asap, I went by the place and Paul was there to greet me. (Also to mention that this is not a place that you can actually view cars on the lot without the help of a sales person). Anywho, Paul said he had an appt. but was happy to help until they showed up. It turned out that two of the cars on their website - one in which they texted me about being able to see - had been sold (they were pretty sure), and a third car I was interested in and was also listed on their website was out with a "friend". THEN, the next day I got a text from Aloha asking if I had gotten to see the Nissan (that had already been sold!!) and how was it. In short - website is not up-to-date, their communication amongst themselves and their messaging service needs to be better as the process was frustrating. And Paul was nice although I wouldn't head back here for a car anytime soon. read more

Zero stars! This place will rip you off, give you an overpriced defective vehicle, then not even send you the registration! I waited 2 mo for registration. They had me driving around with an expired inspection for 2 mo! Didn't give me temp tags or anything! They finally got the registration, put it in an envelope themselves and sent only half of the required documents to me. You literally seen it was missing and instead of going to DMV yourself you put it in an envelope and send it to the customer?! Insane! I didn't notice until I had to take it to get the inspection, and the guy says you are missing the little sticker, and they only gave you the big one. I informed them of this and they told me oh just go down to DMV and get another one. Unfuckingbelievable! What did I sign over to you to do if I was going to have to take off work, make an appointment with DMV, do the inspection, risk driving on expired registration, etc. all on my own! 4 yr old car that I've had only 60 days now won't start. When I went there I purchased additional warranty because my gut was telling me something would go wrong. Sure enough had the car less than 60 days and it won't start. A 4 yr old car won't start! Warranty is a piece of shit. Doesn't cover diagnostic and Deductibles are no less than $I00, and barely covers anything! They were going to sell me a dirty car. Didn't even have the decency to wash or detail it. On top of that they lied about the interest rate. DO NOT GO HERE! From start to finish these guys are shady AF! Honestly I think they are stealing the stickers to put on other cars so they don't have to cover the registration costs. They need to be investigated something just isn't right all around here! This company uses website scamming practices and should NOT be trusted. Totally scammed me into coming to their creepy warehouse by offering me a generous offer via an email quotation on my trade in based on a "ROUGH", "AVERAGE" & "CLEAN" condition. When I got there, they offered me $1,400 below the lowest "ROUGH" estimate and my car is is good condition. When I challenged them with the website quotation they said they must have made a mistake as the the website quoted "BLACK BOOK" pricing versus BLUE BOOK valuation. Just a BIG LIE and fabrication to support their bait and switch. Do not bother to go into this establishment. Their false advertising and fake "BLACK BOOK" practice should be eliminated scamming gullible people. Shame on Aloha Auto Depot - your business should be shut down. I worked with Keala for my car purchase. I communicated with him electronically for several weeks before I arrived to finalize the purchase of my car on July 9th. Despite me having an appointment, the car wasn't ready (he was an hour late, the car wasn't on the lot, car hadn't been cleaned, etc). I asked that 3 repairs be included in the contract: fix the key FOB, get a functioning spare tire, and repair the hole in the roof. I also added to the contract the warranty they offer through a 3rd party. A month later, my car was still not ready. Finally, Keala told me that the key FOB was repaired, but he had not gotten a spare tire yet or coordinated to repair the hole in the roof. Two weeks later he told me that the cost of the roof repair was too expensive, and would take $500 off my purchase price instead, which I agreed to. I never signed anything to formalize the agreement, but I was okay with that plan. In the middle of August, he said I could come pick up my vehicle and he would let me know when I could come pick up my spare tire. I asked him if I needed to do anything to for the extended warranty since I was never asked to fill out anything for that. He didn't have a good answer, just stalled for about 2 weeks and said he was "working on it". I continued to message him in the following few weeks. He eventually sent me a form to sign for the warranty, but I asked him to change the start date on it to the day I picked up the car, not the purchase date, and then I would sign it. He never sent it back to me to sign, or acknowledged my response to him in any way. I got a letter in the mail from the warranty company, with the wrong date on it, the first week of September. My original intent was to drive the car for 60 days, and if there weren't any issues, cancel the policy and get a refund. I can no longer do that- I didn't have the car for the first 30 days, and he never got around to submitting the forms until my 60 days were up (without my signature apparently). Additionally, I got a call in September from the dealership saying I missed an appointment to come complete title paperwork. This was the first I'd heard of this, I assumed I signed all of the required paperwork in July, and Keala never reached out to tell me there were additional forms needed. The woman that called me also informed me that they never submitted the registration forms. I asked what the plan was, since I had been given the car with expired tags and no temporary tags. She informed me that I should've been given a temp tag, and that the registration had been expired for a while, so she didn't know why the forms weren't submitted. I bought this car over 2 months ago, I still do not have a spare tire, the warranty is still messed up, I do not have a title for the car, I do not have a valid registration- nor has one been submitted, and I never signed an addendum formalizing the agreement to reduce the cost by $500 instead of repairing the roof. Attempts to work with Keala have been fruitless, he is either nonresponsive, evasive, or stalls. If I had known what a disaster the car buying experience would be (and continues to be), I never would have bought a car from here. read more

Honestly not a bad thing to be said about these guys and their team! Super friendly, easy going and most importantly honest and up-front. The wife found an ad for a specific vehicle they were advertising on-line so she reached out to get more details. They answered her call after a few rings; off to a good start. They were very friendly and helpful over the phone, answering the couple of preliminary questions we had. We then scheduled a time to come down to check out the vehicle. Since I work typical hours, we scheduled to meet there after my shift which gave use about an hour total before they closed. We arrived and they had the car we were inquiring about right out front waiting for us. We were immediately greeted by Keala, who turned out, was the rep my wife was in communications with earlier. He was very outgoing and you could tell he was just a genuine kid. He grabbed the keys and walked us to the car. I will say, because we came to look at a specific car that was kind of a "unicorn" (older mid-size SUV w/ ridiculously low miles), he had zero "selling" to do. We were specifically looking for that type of vehicle and this one was mint. We both knew either we like what we saw and were buying it or the next person coming to look at it would be buying it. He took a picture of my DL and due to COVID, handed us the keys, told us to take her for a spin, hit the highway to really test her and just be back in 10-15 minutes. We returned and liked the vehicle. It was time to negotiate and iron out the details of the sale. We had our price in mind, they had theirs and after a few calls to the owner/manager we were able to come to an agreement that I think we were both happy with. The whole process took less than an hour. It was a very pleasant experience and we definitely recommend Aloha Auto Depot and Keala if you are looking for a great deal and a positive vehicle purchasing experience. read more

Came here to get my first car. Everything went smoothly with test driving and shoutout Paul for making it easy. However, then comes the part where you have to buy it. They were not helpful in any of the purchasing and I feel cheated because the car had an issue which they didnt tell me about so I was unable to get a safety check and my key fob didnt work either. So I had to wait a few days to actually drive my car and finally they didnt even pay for the replacement key fob and I had to put up another $225 in order to just drive my car. Aloha Auto Depot has a small office located on Kalihi Street. They have a large lot that's closer to Chuck E Cheese where they keep all their car inventory. We came in just to check out their inventory of used cars, get a feel of budget and financing and walked out with a used Scion TC. Great buying experience at Aloha Auto Depot! I worked with Jesse throughout the entire buying process. I had my eye on a Mazda3 and Jesse and one of the other workers (I forgot her name) were super helpful with test driving the car. He provided me with the Carfax and was transparent with any issues about the car. There were some issues with the brakes and the battery in the key fob, but Jesse made sure to address those issues before I finalized my purchase on the Mazda. Brakes were fixed, key fob battery replaced, and a safety check conducted prior to finalizing the deal. I appreciated the service and willingness to help from Jesse - but the entire place seemed to give off that vibe. Very friendly and welcoming place. Upon finalizing my purchase, Jesse explained everything to me with transparency, and made sure everything was good. bought a car from them, had to pay up front since it had too many miles and was too old so be financed. car was a subaru with only a little over a hundred thousand miles on it. subarus normally last 200k-250k if you take care of them. within two days of driving the car, it overheated because there was no coolant in the radiator. i had it towed to a shop where they replaced the radiator. i had them run a full diagnostic since i no longer trusted the quality of the vehicle and they found $12k in repairs. mind you this was two days after picking up the car. as soon as i found this out i contacted aloha auto asking for my money back or for a trade in for the original cost of the car (6k) but the owner brushed me off and offered me 3000 either cash or towards a trade in because it "didn't have problems when i drove it off" i talked him up to 4k but for two days of driving this is a bit ridiculous to me. i wanted to support a small local business when buying my car which is why i went with them. really disappointed in the service i received. read more
