Service was great. Very friendly. However, the poke was just ok. Portion size was very good. Parking semi sucks and is a bit awkward.

Best poke in the South Bay hands down!!!

Best poke in the South Bay hand down! Ponzu and spicy mayo are elite! Fresh, dense poke! Great portion for the price!

Picked up lunch at around 11:45am on a Monday. Called in my order, so it would be quick. Double bowl. Cali roll. Sweet chili. Crab and seaweed salad for the the toppings. $14.51 total. What a steal! It obviously isn't Hawaiian poke, but it was good and was great for the price. I ended up going again on a Tuesday. They gave me a free drink. Would recommend this place!

good poke spot in carson!! the spot is might be easy to miss as you drive by but there is enough parking spaces. the establishment is pretty small so i'd recommend take-out orders. the poke was fresh and it's pretty good considering the price point and the portions that you are getting.

A newly opened Hawaiian-style poke with a Filipino influence. A small establishment, with a couple tables set up inside. I can imagine most of their business is take out. Food : They specialize in Hawaiian-style poke. I ordered the two flavors poke bowl with regular spicy tuna and with the ginger flavor over two scoops rice with furukaki. This is a big and heavy plate. The two flavors is big enough to share. The poke could use some work unfortunately. The spicy poke was too salty and too much sauce and not allowing the freshness of the tuna come through. Same with the ginger flavor except it was too sweet. They need to let the natural flavor of the tuna be the center and not be heavy of the sauce/flavors. Bonus points for free toppings: I had seaweed salad and ginger. Breakfast : Portuguese Sausage Breakfast with two eggs and rice. The Portuguese sausage was just too salty for my taste. Next time, I'll order longanisa instead. Three STARS for the service. The auntie that was at the counter was friendly, and warm. Also the portion size was very generous and the price is affordable. You get your money's worth. I will come and order something else next time. Let's continue to patronize small business in the area.

Super fresh poke and really friendly staff. Everything tasted clean and high quality, and the fish was on point. The vibe honestly made me feel like I was back in Hawaii--simple, fresh, and welcoming. Definitely coming back.

This new poke and Hawaiian food spot just opened, and I'm so happy I went to check it out because it might be my new go-to poke spot!! I used to go to another one nearby but they stopped selling ginger flavor, but this new spot has it, and it's delicious! I love their spicy mayo and ginger ahi! They marinate the poke so well and the flavors are amazing. Their food is reasonably priced, and it was $13.95 for their double flavor bowl and it comes with two toppings (choice of imitation crab, seaweed, or ginger). Most places don't offer additional toppings, so it was nice that it was included in the bowl. There's a couple tables inside if you want to sit and eat, but it's more of a grab and go place. The service was quick, and the owner was friendly when we spoke with her! Will definitely be back for my authentic Hawaiian poke cravings!

poke was a bit underwhelming and the portions of the toppings (crab meat & seaweed salad) could've been more.

Solid Hawaiian style poke spot. Good portion for $15 on the double tuna plate. Better than average texture on the fish but the ginger & spicy crunchy garlic flavors were a tad strong/salty. Masked the freshness of the fish to me. I'm a salmon poke kinda guy but they only had spicy mayo flavor when I went. Not a big spicy mayo guy but this was actually pretty good with the fish standing out. Great texture on the salmon. Soft, buttery melt in your mouth pieces. Hopefully they have other flavors next time I stop by. Great new addition to the South Bay!

Came at 6:30 to find restaurant closed

Second time trying to come rushing after work before closing, and it's closed. Granted, came around 6:50pm the first time and understand it's close to closing. Came again the next day at 6:30pm--closed. If your store hours are marked as open until 7pm, BE OPEN UNTIL 7PM. If not, change your store hours to closing at 6pm or whatever time staff closes up. Extremely unhappy to find out it's closed early second time in a row. Super unfortunate, was really looking forward to getting dinner here.

Restaurant is easy to miss. Small business in a shared small single building, not much space for dinning in. Parking lot is also small. Really just ideal for to go orders. Food is good. Fresh. Flavorful. Musubi is made in limited quantities, so call ahead and ask for availability if you plan on getting some. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for some good poke.

I have been wanting to try these for a while so, I'm glad I finally got the chance. My order did not take long but there was only person inside besides myself. The employee that greeted had a smile. I think the place inside is cute and nice and clean but it's just really easy to miss. Plus the noodles were $16 with no protein but it had such good flavor and I would definitely be back just for this.

We understood that we came in pretty late and close to closing, but we weren't planning on dining in, we just wanted to get 3 drinks and 1 food item to go. As soon as we walk in, we received with "we're closed for dining" which all three of us said okay, got it. As we took a look at the menu to figure out what we had wanted, we were met with annoyed stares and sighs as they watched us. This interaction in its full entirety lasted about 10 minutes from walk-in, to waiting, and leaving. It was a pretty uncomfortable situation, and kind of disappointing, as the girls making the drinks not only rolled their eyes and let out sighs while simply making our drinks, messing up one of them up and saying "oh well" and continued to make faces. Which is fine, I didn't ask for it be remade since I didn't want to further interact with the women during this closing shift in this establishment as to not want to feel anymore uncomfortable as we had been with the treatment from the staff. Along with the service not being the greatest, the food item we had ordered Pad See Ew, ended up containing quite a few pieces of meat that we weren't anticipating, considering one of us doesn't eat meat, it unfortunately caused pretty bad stomach issues. We hope that maybe we had just caught an off day with the staff and this isn't the usual service, but as it was our first time at this establishment, it will more than likely be our last.

The same thing happened on our second visit, and we were honestly heartbroken. However, Sunny (I think that was his name) went above and beyond to make sure we still got to experience their food. He kindly gave us samples of the Spam musubi and fried chicken to take home. That's 100% top-notch customer service right there! Since then, we've returned twice more with friends, and the food has been absolutely amazing. The shrimp is hands-down my favorite, and the karaage chicken with the green sauce is super addictive. I also finally got to try the crispy Spam musubi, which was unique and delicious . We'll definitely keep coming back. In fact, I'm tempted to throw a party just so I have an excuse to cater from them! Even though they're located inside a food hall, you can take your food and enjoy it anywhere in The Enclave's spacious outdoor seating area, which makes it a great spot to hang out and enjoy a meal with friends.

At the time, the kiosk showed…read morethat kalua and teriyaki chicken was sold out, I spoke with the front desk person and they said they did not update the kiosk when they restocked. That was bad, in any case, I ordered the kalua and shrimp. The shrimp was extra, but was pretty good. I am glad I ate right away since the shrimp was not overtly deep fried (this means the sauce on top was going to drench it, making it a soggy deep fried batter if I did not eat right away). The sauce it comes with is not bad, it seemed like a flavorful batter. The pickled onions were not a palet cleanser, but was sweet and went well with the kalua pork. The pork itself was definitely on the saltier side, I would not recommend eating this without the rice! It was that salty! Together it was good. They put on a lot of rice, no substitutes like Mac salad unfortunately. But what was bad is that the shrimp is extra but they put a bed of rice underneath so you don't really get as much protein as you would like.

Recently stopped by here about a year after trying it for the first time…read more I have to say, Pasta Stories really stepped up their game in terms of serving time! The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.

I personally have tried the following: Hokkaido Cream Pasta (newest addition as of late) Fukuoka Mentaiko Butter Pasta Kyoto Matcha Cream Pasta (one of my favorite dishes here - pair with salmon for a strong, umami flavor profile) Iwate Triple Mushroom Pasta Okinawa Pork Ragu Spaghetti (THE number 1 pick, however was not on the menu when I visited last) Osaka American Wagyu Meat Sauce There is a strong attention to Japanese flavors fusing with traditional Italian pasta dishes and are all made with love and care. I always recommend this place to friends and family, I can't get enough of it!

Ladybug Cafe is a Hawaiian-style restaurant that has a nostalgic feel, like my grandparents' home…read more Some of their popular dishes include chicken katsu, fried chicken, butterfish, beef stew, and mac salad. They also offer burgers, sandwiches, and poke bowls as well as breakfast dishes. I finally came here for lunch and it wasn't too busy on a Wednesday. Hubby got the Ahi Tuna Poke Salad and it was a generous portion! The ingredients were fresh and the ginger miso dressing was delicious. I got the Chicken Katsu and Fried Chicken Combo, which came with salad, rice and mac salad. The Fried Chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection! So juicy too. The chicken katsu was a bit disappointing though. The chicken was pounded paper thin and the panko crust, although it was crispy and not too oily, separated from the chicken. The sides were pretty average. I heard they also have live music on the weekends and evenings, which is great in their spacious dining area. Love the cute drawings and messages from locals and the collection of ladybugs and lucky cats. I would come back since I work close by. I would definitely get the fried chicken again and try other dishes on their extensive menu. Friendly and efficient service. Free parking lot in the back.

The most recent visit was to meet some biz associates to enjoy entrees & apps. We shared calamari ($24), mussels ($23), fried rice ($30), fries ($7), and a couple of 18 oz bone-in ribeyes ($68/each) [sorry, not all items puctured]. My crew of five (including me), liked the calamari and steak & fries. The calamari was tender, the steaks were grilled medium rare, and the fries were GBD. However, the shrimp in the rice and the mussels were not fresh. Luckily, no one got sick later. Regarding the ambiance, its spacious in here. However, the amount of people seemed light on a Fri night around 6-7 pm. Our waiter Jason and the rest of the team were super nice & attentive. We received fresh plates and steak knives (we ordered a second steak later during the meal). I'd return for a good time w/ a large group. The place accommodates big parties well, and the service is really good. Nonetheless, keep in mind the food is hit & miss, and the prices are on the high side.
