Stumbled on this place by accident. It wasn't really busy so ordering was no problem. I got the Cheese steak mushroom wrap. It took about 15-20 min for them to make it but it's okay I had sometime. This is my first time buying something from here after all the compliments I get about this place. I went alone on my lunch break. Upon entering it feels kind of dark and quiet. Some music was playing but otherwise quiet. Only two people were waiting for their food which did not take long. 1. Tables and chairs available. They have a stairs the goes up to another level for more tables and chairs. 2. Menu: very simple and straight forward. On the pricey side, but if you like salad with all the fixings on it then this is your place. Oh and did I mention you can create your own salad with base, toppings, dressings, etc. 3. Salad choice: picked a simple and common salad you can find at other restaurants. My rule is... "If a place screws up a classic or common dish then they suck!" Thankfully my choice did not suck at all! They prepared it perfectly and each topping had just the right amount. It was delicious! 4. Service: Great! No complaints. Yes they take card. I recently came here for lunch and ordered the mandarin ginger salad. I really enjoyed it and it came with a warmed pita bread. Now comes the negative... There was a totally of 5 employees and not one greeted me when I walked in. And as I stood there reading the menu, not one employee asked me if I had any questions. As I waited for my order, I looked around and noticed that all the tables (1st floor) had crumbs or small pieces of food on it. Also, rubbish on the floor! From the moment I walked in, to halfway through my salad, there was no customers. During that time, one employee could've swept the floors or wiped down the tables. Instead, the four employees stood around talking stories and I doubt it was work related. Also, there should be a dress standard coming to work. I came in at around 11:30am and there was only one customer in front of me who was waiting for someone to take her order. Customer service was amazing. They are very friendly. But the issue was that I ordered an açaí bowl and when I got it, the acai was rock hard solid like concrete. So with a plastic spoon it was very difficult to get through the thick acai. Fortunately with my attempts of chiseling the acai. I managed to break it. I did take out a star for not filling my bowl to the 6 oz that I paid for. Also, where's the cheese for the soup? All I see is oil on the top. Honestly, I have asked staff before about the nutritional contents of the food at Aloha Salad and up until today, I was only told that they were working on it. I'm not extremely fanatical about counting calories, fats, carbs and such...but you betcha the calories eventually add up after "add this and...uh, extra of that puhleese," is done. This location !!!!! They need to retrain the staff!! I've had multiple issues but the one last week took the cake for me. There have been multiple times that I have orders a salad and realize when I get home that they forgot to give me dressing! That's ridiculous. When I say multiple times, I mean 4 times. Unacceptable. When I call and complain they just brush it off and advise that I can come back to pick up the dressing. Hmm, that's a hard pass for me. I'm not gonna drive back to correct your mistake! Here's the cake - I ordered an online order and came in to pick it up. When I arrived, it was about 8:45pm and this location closes at 9pm. Well, I guess at 8:45pm the staff clean everything and fiddle around in their cell phones while the customer waits. I waited 5 minutes at the register and the ladies behind the counter kept cleaning and being on their phones. I literally had to wave them down and use my outside voice to get their attention. By that time, another lady came in from the outside and walked right past me and continued to the register. Instead of asking me if I needed help, she started counting the tips. When I asked for online order, one of the staff members picked up the order and handed it to me. It was in front of her the whole time. Instead of taking the initiative to ask if I needed help or to ask me if I'm the online order, she decided to mind her business and play around behind the counter. Not worth it guys! Everything that I ordered here is great. I recently discovered their combos where you can get a small signature salad and signature subs or soup for $9.95. I also tried designing my own salad. You get to choose from 3 different lettuces, north shore field greens, romaine hearts, or baby spinach. Then you get to choose 4 toppings, some toppings cost extra. You can choose a protein for an additional cost. You also have a choice of cheese and dressing. There is tons of free parking. The store is small so you might be out of luck if you want to eat in. You may have to wait a bit for your salad to be made since they make it when you order it. Which is worth the wait. Service is always great! You can make a custom salad, but I usually swap between the Big Island Beet, Seared Ono Ahi, and the Goddess. The Big Island Beet feels special with mango, goat cheese, macadamia nuts and beets. The Goddess is a soft textured salad with papaya, pine nuts and avocado. The Ono Ahi is the most expensive salad with Ahi, avocado and strawberries. Get the Tomato Bisque, it's rich and delicious with bits of meaty cheese--if they serve it to you hot, sometimes it comes cold. They have combos, which you choose 2 choices from a small soup, half sandwich, or half salad, but the combos are small. If I'm hungry I get a full size salad and a soup.
