I have been coming here for a few years and still has not been disappointing. For me, I'm a French Fry person, and I have to say they are one of the best, the amount of crunchy is perfect. I been there for breakfast and just love their breakfast burritos. The serving size is pretty large, so you will leave stuffed! if you eat everything. The service has always been great, but I know they get crowded and doing their best to keep up. I will continue to get my burgers and fries from this place because it the best in the area. This place makes the Best fast food Patty-Melt in the area. It's a simple comfort food for me. They add lettuce and tomato to theirs but I prefer mine without, Just meat, cheese, and grilled onions on Jewish rye bread. What makes these so special to me vs other locations in the area is that they're cooked perfectly. Bread and onions grilled just right. Crispy rye bread(Not soggy Greasy) , onions sweet and caramelized, perfect. Sometimes I'll leave the lettuce or tomato or both in, if I'm in the mood(still good but not classic) they also make pretty decent fries(I like mine crispy so ask for them that way. read more

I ventured to this place after reading on yahoo that it was one of top breakfast burrito restaurants in LA I wasn't disappointed! Ordered the carne asada breakfast burrito and it was by far one of the best around! Nothing in this area comes close. Perfection and perfect balance of meat potatoes and egg. Good size makes it a bargain compared to other locals. Today I had their biscuits and gravy and it was equally good. I now add another local restaurant in Covina to my list of fantastic eats. We've driven by Alpha Omega many times and said, one day we'll give it a try. Well, that day was yesterday morning for breakfast. Wow, what we've been missing. The restaurant is nothing fancy, but it was clean inside and on the patio. They offer table service for those dining-in or you can order at the front counter for take-out. The service was good and the food was really good, especially for the prices, which we've found to be the most reasonable in the area. I ordered a chicken fried steak, 3 eggs, hash browns, and biscuit & gravy for only $6.59. Hard to beat for that amount of food, which was really tasty. Three adults ate breakfast entrees, coffee and ice tea for under $20. We'll definitely be making Alpha Omega our new weekend breakfast stop. read more

I have only had their pastrami sandwich and fries. The pastrami was really gross, only took two bites and threw it away. The meat didn't taste like authentic pastrami. Felt like imitation pastrami, it had a mushy feel to it. It was already home so didn't feel like driving back. However the fries were delicious and I ate all of those. When you use the drive through it seems like they're yelling at you and they ask you to repeat your order several times. While I was waiting for my order at the window, I noticed she is not yelling, it's probably just the volume on the drive thru speaker is really high. And on their end, whatever you say into the microphone when ordering sounds muffled, they asked the guy to repeat his order 3 times and even with 2 workers and i myself we were not able to understand but it was not the person speaking, it's their sound system that's horrible, And I understood why they ask you to repeat. I think they need to work on upgrading their intercom system on the drive thru. I gave it 2 stars based on the only 2 items I ordered. The fries were good and the girls were polite. They have no fault that their drive thru speakers and microphones are bad. read more

Alpha Omega has been a fixture in Downtown Covina for years. It's a great spot to grab breakfast or lunch. My go to is the breakfast sandwich. They have a drive thru that always seems to have a line. I've driven by alpha omega so many times and had always wanted to check it out so the other day when I was craving a burger I knew this was the place to try! It's definitely a local Covina gem! They have just about any typical local spot food you can imagine, breakfast, burritos, hot dogs, burgers... you name it! I opted for the cheeseburger combo. Cheeseburger, fries, and a drink! It was great! Will definitely be returning next time I'm in the mood for a quick burger, or maybe I'll try the breakfast burritos, I have a feeling they will be delicious :) Only thing to note is that they carry Pepsi products which is kind of meh. I just had the best ABELT on sourdough from alpha omega ever!I changed my order this morning and got a BLT with avocado & an egg over easy and it was delicious! Alpha Omega has been serving patrons and covina residents since 1974. If you are looking for breakfast or lunch on a budget, this is definitely a good choice. You get more bang for your buck and the food is okay. Alpha Omega sits on the corner of citrus and badillo. You walk in and you are made to feel right at home. You are seated, they take your order and out comes the food when it's ready. I like that Alpha Omega feels more like a dinner than a burger joint. They have large seating booths to accomodate groups of 5 or more. This place also has outdoor seating for overflow. I recommend the breakfast burrito. The burritos are big and you can share it with someone. On a side note, my brother in law always orders the steak and eggs. He really enjoys them, I will give them a try next time I visit. The pancakes are also good. The cheese burgers are also a good option for lunch. My only complaint about this place are the fries. They are too thin and crunchy for my preference. This is exactly the kind of restaurant I think of when I think of home. I may have lived in San Diego for 18 years, but I grew up in Covina and it will always be "home" for me. My folks still live there, so I spend plenty of time in the area. You do not get places like this in San Diego. Los Angeles and San Bernardino counties are dotted all over the place with these hybrid Breakfast/American/Mexican/Other fast food drive-thrus. Do not ever let looks fool you either. I've had better meals at these drive-thrus than at nice, sit-down restaurants. Breakfasts at Alpha Omega are awesome. Really, really good hash browns. However, on my most recent trip home, I was craving a pastrami sandwich. Again, this is a unique Los Angeles-only creation. Hot pastrami is piled high and deep inside a roll with mustard and pickles. That's it. So simple, so incredibly delicious. A pastrami sandwich anywhere else is going to be a deli-style pastrami on rye, probably with cole slaw on top. You cannot find this sandwich anywhere except LA, and Alpha Omega makes one of the best around. read more

Ordered the small chili cheese fries but half the box was empty. You don't get much in the small size anyways so....it was definitely a small snack. Also, the cheese was so hard to find. The chili tasted good, though-what was there and the fries were fresh so there's that. Wouldn't order it, again. Also wouldn't order the large, either. First, as I walk up, I notice that they have put their FILTHY kitchen floor mats on the dining tables outside. THIS IS A HUGE NO-NO FOR THE HEALTH DEPT. I'm not going to sit there, so I let it go. I ask if they can do a 1/2 & 1/2 of onion rings and zucchini. They are both the same price, so I can't see the problem here. They say No. I don't argue, but watch one of the 5 guys standing around dump the frozen fries into the oil. Really, it would have been NO problem, and this might have been a different review, or maybe not a 'bad' one. It's not like it would have thrown off their inventory or anything. While I waited, I could not help but notice how filthy the place was. With 5 people standing around it should NEVER be that filthy.
