I've been coming here for a while now & lately the service has not been the best. If you have an appointment make sure you get it on paper & they call you for follow up. I had an appointment last Wednesday for 6pm & when I showed up the technician Gerardo was still not there. He showed up 35 minutes later with only an "I forgot" excuse. I went back the following day, Thursday, for him to correct an error in the job & he was not at that location. They made me wait 30 minutes & eventually scheduled me for an appointment for Saturday at 10am. I showed up Saturday & as expected the technician was nowhere to be found. They called him and he said he was 30 minutes away. After waiting an hour I asked a worker to call him and he said he was still in traffic. The shop took my name and number to let me know when the technician showed up however to this day I didn't receive a call. I ended up going to Nissan who resolved the issue in 30 mins with no appointment. Hopefully Al's Auto Center is able to work on time management. Don't make appointments if you aren't able to fulfill them. read more

This place is the best. My tire went flat and AAA brought me here. The guys were extremely nice on the phone and in person. I didn't feel guilty or awkward for coming in just before closing. They make jokes about the old tire and gave me a chair to sit. I got a decent used tire for $45 within 10 minutes. Tip them well! They deserve it. read more

My family and I were visiting from out of town and on the night before we were supposed to leave my tire indicator light turned on an notified me that the pressure my rear left tire was low. When we got to where we were going, sure enough something was lodged in the tire (a screw?!?). When we got back to our "home base," my wife and I were feverishly searching for a place to have this taken care of. We came across Al's Auto Center, who had the earliest opening time, and chose to go there. This place was great, more specifically Arturo. I waited maybe 10 minutes (he was helping another customer) and he asked me how he could help. I showed him the screw in the tire and he got right to work. I was hoping that I didn't need to spend money on a new tire but he told me that is was fixable/patchable. He worked his magic, helped another customer, and finished up on my tire. This place doesn't even deserve to be open based off how fraud and crook they are. I came here as a young girl looking for advice and was taken advantage of. I had a left wheel accident in which the guy by the name of Jose said he could fix. I put my trust in him because As a female you don't know any better. Before the insurance even got a chance to let me know other shops I could take it too, he took it upon himself to get a tow truck to have the car taken to his shop. He did whatever he had to do before the insurance company went to get paid more. He charged things that he didn't even fix, like my front bumper which was never fully attached before and even after his supposable repairs. Along with that, the functions from the two front doors got all messed up. I had came back to replace a light in which Jose stated I front of me that the china parts the guy gave him were bad. When the insurance paid me for the repairs which all came out to $5,400, Jose still had the audacity to tell me to keep 100$ for myself as if the work was proper. Today I came back because the wheel side he had initially fixed had got worse. Soon as I get there Jose immediately starts blaming my right side which is a bit damage on the body but has nothing to do with how the car runs. I told him no you fixed the left side that's where my issues are, he then blames my scratched tire saying that I hit it. It just goes to show how much of liars these people are. And if you are a FEMALE PLEASE BEWARE OF MEN in these body shops taking advantage of our intelligence. While being there nothing was resolved and he still said I need to pay 350$ for the shocks, all this comes down to how bad of place this is. STAY AWAY. Came to get my coolant reservoir replaced. Drove away and the car overheated again. Brought it back, radiator was cracked and thermostat needed to be replaced. Mechanic said he put the wrong reservoir on. The correct one has its own thermostat and the one he put on didn't. First red flag. Mechanic said putting the wrong part on the car had nothing to do with the radiator problem. I'm not a mechanic, but does that make sense to you? Fast forward a week and the car is ready to be picked up again. I show up and told when I arrive that the agreed upon price has changed. Not once was I told there would be a new price at any time they had the car. Owner agreed on initial price. I paid and left. Not even two miles away from the shop, car overheats. They've had the car for a week and I have paid $1000 to replace the radiator, thermostat, hoses, basically everything associated with maintaining the car's temperature. I am writing this as a new mechanic tries to figure out what's wrong with my car. Whatever you do, don't bring your car here. read more

They were able to accommodate me and the mechanic finished replacing my brake pads in less than an hour! There's definitely limited parking but I guess I got there at a good time. Needed a wheel bearing changed. It was too much work to do myself. I brought the car in during the afternoon. The price was right and, despite being really busy, they had it done by the end of the day. The mechanic even pointed out another problem I was dealing with regarding the brake caliper rubbing against the rim and suggested an easy fix that I did myself. A couple weeks later I needed my catalytic converter replaced. They were able to find the right one for my car despite the fact my car was missing catalyst information from the inside of the hood. They gave me a couple options, one for $500 and a better one $770. I went with the more expensive one. They had the job done in three hours. I passed my smog check two days later. read more

The owner Essa responded within minutes which surprised me because it was in the middle of the night. He was very helpful answering my questions through yelp and told me I could bring it in any time-- no appointment? No, bring it in anytime! The price estimate he gave me was significantly cheaper than the other estimates shops gave me, so I decided to try it out! I drove into the lot, no appointment, and was helped immediately! Jorge is the man- helped inspect my brake pads and rotors, and was very helpful answering my questions. My brake pads were installed almost immediately- I even got an additional 10% discount for being a new customer! I came to Al's Auto Center after I tried to do a simple tire patch in the tire tread at a place near my work and came back with a quote for $197 for a new 60R16 tire. I was a little tight on cash and knew Al's had better rates from my first visit. I came to Al's expecting to pay for a new tire but they were able to fix the existing tire and saved me a butt load of money. I love how this place doesn't try to rip you off. RUDE. UNPROFESSIONAL. DUMP. CROOKS. AVOID! needed a tire for my truck that lost a tire 2 blocks away. They did NOT have the tire size I needed...so instead insisted I get a tire that was TOO SMALL!? Went in another day to get my tires properly inflated. I 100% ignored: stared right through me even though I was stopped in front of their grimy filthy disgusting tiny bays, in the middle of tiny joke of a lot filled with too many cars and people hanging out...had to be the first to speak up because they could care less I was standing there staring right at them. Jerk who finally answered me, wasnt happy about helping, seemed pissed off at me asking, talked crap in Spanish I couldn't understand...just plain horrid experience. The first time I came here I had a great experience, good service and good price for oil change. My second time here was the opposite. Same price, thought all was good, until I heard scraping sounds every time I drove over a slight bump on the road. I looked under my car and there's two missing screws on the plate, making it hang off loose. Came back to get it fixed and was blamed for the incident. They ultimately fixed it, but I could have done without the blame game. I don't feel comfortable to come back here another time, especially if they don't have the diligence to check if all screws are back in place. read more

The whole team there is great. Jorge especially has worked hard to make my car troubles better, and I've had a LOT of car troubles, lol. I've had to bring my super old SUV in multiple times for various age-related issues (and one accident) and every time, they've been able to diagnose and repair whatever was wrong at a very reasonable price. Don't be scared off by the run down looking shop and dirty parking lot, because their staff more than make up for it. If they raised their prices, I might go elsewhere, but at the rates they charge, it's the best deal in town. I was making a turn around by the Jaguar dealership on Colorado and hit the spike strip. Yep, two tires blown away In one quick second. This was when businesses were closing (after 5:00) and I was screwed because AAA was on a more than hour wait to tow. The tow driver (another five stars) knew of them and got me there with ten minutes to spare. Those guys stayed an extra fifteen to get those tires on and charged me...get this....just about 20.00 less than the phone estimate (which was lower than everyone else in the area (called around)). I live in the Valley but I would go out of my way to have my car taken here no matter what. You need tires, this is your place 100%. read more

Essa, the owner, has lots of excuses for why his shop is sub-par including but not limited to blaming the customer. Bravo, Essa Definitely won't be coming back here. Called them to see if they could replace a striped out oil drain plug for me...they said yes, right away, but when I got there they did not have the plug. They started to drain my oil and then told me they don't have the plug. A ten minute stop has now been over an hour and I'm still waiting on this stupid plug I could have replaced myself on my next oil change. Won't be returning here ever again... read more
