There are not many pastry store on Gleanoks blvd on Burbank city and this one of the good ones. They have variety of pasties, very colorful and tasty but sweet. We purchased variety of cheesecakes, birdmilk, caramel pastry. Cheesecakes are ok but not the best the rest was good but sweet. Busy store but staff were helpful and taking care of customers atthe time. Sittings are available on sidewalk.

2nd visit and really love this place. Today I got the vanillabean pastry so yummy. This place is way better than the other tik tok famous k town place. Prices $10 to $15. Today got parking in front. Plan to return to try even more. Mushroom still a favorite.

I went here today, and I was really surprised how large this place was. It wasn't busy at all and the service was outstanding. The mushroom one was delicious for the fruit dessert but it was $15. I can see why because the stem was really hard and it had really good texture throughout. I seriously, wanna go back and try all the flavors. They are also beautiful. I also got a steak sandwich which was about a 20 minute wait to make but really delicious. It had like an avocado cream sauce throughout and was toasted. There was plenty of street parking. As mentioned before there is a 3% charge to use your credit card.

I think I'm missing something here. I know they're known for their fruit desserts, but it's not new to me so I passed up on those. I had a slice of their honey cake and a pistachio croissant and I wasn't impressed. The honey cake was okay; it's on the drier side. The croissant had pistachio filling and pistachio chocolate coating which was nice. The big disappointment was the croissant itself. It wasn't flakey and didn't taste fresh at all. Such a disappointment.

10 stars if I could! Customer service is BEYOND stellar with great Recommendation over the phone to getting my gems. The vanilla mousse is unreal. The wings, exceptional. Here's the kicker, my first batch was more charred than I like and David recommended saucing it. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (purely my taste not liking vinegar much) but when I still wasn't satisfied, he made me a brand new less charred version and wow, so kind to give me a perfect first impression. You HAVE to treat yourself. Worth the drive.

Our first time here it's been on our list and finally had a chance to go. Customer service was great young lady was super friendly and helpful We picked a lot of desserts to try they look amazing and so cute My granddaughter had a blast picking out her desserts Everything was really good very flavorful and looked like a different kinda fruit A few were a bit more pricey because of the design This is definitely a place to splurge every once in awhile We paid $84 dollars for everything we got We even ordered a pizza and it was absolutely delicious! I visited this location again recently. This is the closest bakery to where I live so I usually go there to pick up pastries. They have really good pastries and they taste good. Unfortunately, most of the items don't have prices so it gets confusing. I had to ask the employees several times for the price of the items. For service, some employees are nice and friendly. They take the time to help customers and don't make you feel rushed. But some employees are not that friendly. This bakery can get really busy on the weekends. There are long lines for ordering. This bakery has several tables outside which makes it convenient to order coffee and pastries and enjoy them by sitting outside. For parking, this bakery has a parking lot in the back and also street parking is available too. This location prefers cash transactions and cash is welcomed. They are charging 3% credit card fee for all transactions.

The chicken sandwich is that one (10/10 easy), the beef kebab sandwich was a banger, the hot honey pizza was rocking, and the bakery delicacies were delicious. Bro is a real grill master with the sandwich game on lock. This hit different right after an 8 mile run.

My family and I flew in early to Burbank airport. It was too early to check into our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and try one of their viral, fruit mousse pastries. The bakery is less than 10 minute drive from the Burbank airport. It was not too busy on a Saturday around 11 AM, but there was a study flow of customers coming in to pick up their cake orders or to pick up a few pastry items. The employees were nice and knowledgeable about the bakery's offerings. There are a few small tables with chairs to sit at to quickly enjoy your delicious bakery items, pizza, sandwich, coffee and/or other offerings. We ordered the popular Armenian Pizza for lunch, the viral fruit mousse pastry (mango which is most popular) and a hazelnut eclair. Everything we had was delicious and highly recommended. Their many real-looking fruit mousse pastries are $10 each, but well worth the cost as they are delicious, not too sweet and very satisfying to cut/bite into. If you are in the Burbank area and want to try something different or some more familiar food items, you should definitely come to Alta Dena Bakery.

TO THE OWNER! Shouts out to you from The Bay, I drove all the way over here just to try your food! I was not disappointed!!! Your staff was so friendly especially Anna that helped me choosing these yummy desserts! Omg I ate the Mushroom Magic Mousse 1st and didn't post! Let me tell you it was soo delicious !!! We also got Tiramisu, Lemon, banana and pistachio We even got a pizza and a Pistachio iced espresso! Please consider putting another location in the Bay Area! This was so worth the drive!

I always pass by and can't believe I've never been here before. Altadena was amazing. The food was delicious and they had such a huge selection of pastries and desserts. There were so many croissants, cakes, and baked goods to choose from. We ended up getting a Nutella croissant and a pistachio croissant, plus the steak and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. We also ordered the hazelnut coffee which paired perfectly with the pastries. Before leaving I made sure to grab two tiramisus to go and they were just as good as everything else. This place is seriously delicious, and honestly that's an understatement. I definitely see myself coming back again. I originally saw their pizza and Cajun fries advertised on Instagram, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those next.

Love this bakery! We heard about this bakery through social media, so we decided that we had to give them a try. I ordered several types of pastries and a breakfast sandwich. I'm not super familiar with Armenian food, so I didn't know what to expect. I mistakenly assumed it would be like most bakery's. My group and I had mixed reviews on the pastries. Some were really yummy, and some were a little dry. With coffee, I'm sure they would have been great. Overall, I still really really liked the selections that I enjoyed. For my sandwich, we were very thrown off by whatever flavoring/seasoning they put in the eggs. We were not a fan. Like I said, not used to Armenian food, so maybe this was a thing, and our taste buds aren't adjusted. But... The rest of the sandwich was great. Well made, and very tasty bread! Minus the flavoring in the eggs, it was a perfect sandwich. The stag was helpful, but not the most hospitable. They handled business though, so no worries there. Overall, a good visit. If I were nearby, I'd visit again.

Finally got around to trying this amazing bakery after months of seeing it all over my instagram, and it absolutely lived up to the standards portrayed. The service and hospitality were incredible from the moment I walked in. I met David, one of the family members who opened the shop, and he welcomed me like I was part of the family. I got to learn more about the background of who originally opened the shop and how this store has grown into what we see today. Everyone working there was so kind and attentive, especially Meline, who personally helped me and made sure everything was perfect. I tried a variety of their baked goods, and every single one was out of this world. The atmosphere and culture of the place made me truly feel like I was back home. I definitely will have to make the trip back to try more of their items. read more

Best ajarski of my LIFE! Hands down. Look, if you were a kid in the 90s, yearning for the Pizza Hut stuffed cheese crust to be the dream scenario that their commercials presented, well look no further...you have found Nirvana, right here in Burbank with these ajarski. You can even get them with pepperoni An indulgent amount of the softest, creamiest, wonderfully stretchy cheese, filled straight into the folded edges of some of the most delightfully thin, soft, chewy, fresh crust this side of the 134...I can think of no other word than Heaven. Sheer heaven. They offer different topping options, and are famous for their pastrami, which I ordered and would order again! Eggs cooked to your specifications. I choose over medium and they came out more easy, but I was glad for that. It was just perfect for dipping. My partner ordered the Dav's Suprami Sandwich, which is the pastrami with extra stuff, ordered without peppers or tomatoes, but they did still put tomatoes in. We did not ask them to correct it because they were mostly easy to remove. Next time, we'd order the regular pastrami sandwich and just add mushrooms to it to avoid that. We lucked out and got to try their seasoned fries, which apparently they do not often have in stock. The standard fried are unseasoned. I hope they are able to get the seasoned ones in stock more regularly tho because they were awesome! We almost always add salt to our fries, but these didn't need it. We ate at the tables outside on Glenoaks Blvd, which was not too traffic-y. The building provided us with some nice shade from the hothothot afternoon sun. There are also a few small tables inside. You can take your order to go, but we wanted it fresh out of the oven! Everything arrived so hot and fresh that we could have made the drive home and still enjoyed melty cheese. I bet the pizzas are out of this world with that same delightful crust as the ajarski, and we can't wait to try them. Everyone here was so nice, helpful. The pizza guy talked to us for a long time about the food and suggested other specialties to try for next time. You order & pay with the bakery side cashier and then pick up (or have your food brought to you) by the other side. We will definitely be back here, probably often! I've recently seen how this bakery has become quite popular among food bloggers for their desserts, especially the ones shaped like fruit not only for how realistic they look, but how they all rave about this place and give said desserts a 10/10 all the time. Stopped by it today with two of my friends and we decided to share a few so we could see what their hype was about and it was definitely a disappointment. Service is okay, they greet you, and are polite, but I feel they are annoyed and overwhelmed, especially when people stop them midway with a tray full of pear shape desserts and ask to take a picture, which I can't blame them, so please if you go have some common sense and don't do that. Now, onto the desserts; they are just okay. As one of my friends said, this is more of a novelty item, where you can post on IG or TikTok, but the 10/10 reviews they are definitely lying or they are getting the desserts for free. We got the green apple and the pear shaped desserts. Visually I do give their desserts a perfect 10, because they look amazing, but taste wise they get probably a 5, and that's being generous. The apple just had a little bit of apple compote and it was tasteless, where I would think it would resemble more of an apple pie flavor inside the apple and it was not. The pear was a bit better, but again the filling to size of the "fruit" it's not proportionate, so it's all cream, which taste like nothing, and a bit of filling that you get is equally bland. Also got a pistachio croissant which it was just okay, nothing worth mentioning, and two passion fruit eclairs, which was probably the only good dessert of all the ones we got. Their fruit desserts are $10 each, which is not awful, but it gets to be expensive when they're just not good. Lastly, if you do decide to go either pay cash or debit(which is what we did), as they charge 3% fee on credit cards. read more

I'd wanted to try the viral fruit shaped creme pastries and this was the closest. The shop has a lot of options and the women working there are friendly and helpful. We got the pear and coco raspberry ones and they were amazing! Not too sweet and large for $10. We also got a passion fruit elcair that was tasty too. Only issue is finding parking. read more

We drove an hour out of the way so we could taste those realistic fruit pastries we keep seeing online and boy oh boy this was the place .. amazing delicious place wow !! We had orange and mango . The orange was off the charts so so good (like incredibly good) the mango was good as well but not on the level as the mango now i want to try them all . This place is 2 hours from my house which is heartbreaking anyways you should go they have it all . And it all looks perfect read more

I've been to Altadena bakery 2 times now and both times were out of this world! The customer service is outstanding! They are so hospitable! First time we tried the beautiful desserts and the second time we tried the food! I love the setup and how they separate the food and baked goods. The pastrami sandwich was KILLER!!! Every single thing I ordered was delicious. Half the store is dedicated to pastries/ cakes, the other side is sandwiches , pizza& salads. The place is spotless. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Food was fresh and piping hot. For starters, the pastries all looked amazing. We ordered the strawberry tart, which was one of the best we've had. The artisan bread with the sandwich was cooked in the oven and had that delicious crunchy crust with melted cheese. The pizza was made in front of us and came out quick. There were a few tables on the inside as well as the outside. Street parking in the front and a little dedicated lot in the back. Where do I start!? First time here & I am still dreaming of their desserts. Today, I only had their pastries but next time, I will definitely be trying their sandwiches and pizza. Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures which I totally regret but I was just too excited to eat. I had the lemon, mushroom, & raspberry pastries and they were so flavorful & not too sweet, they were the perfect combination of both. There is something so nostalgic about these pastries that brought me back to my childhood, I have not been able to pin point to it, but I don't know if was a candy I had, or what but something about the flavor takes me back to my childhood. They have great customer service & the place is spotless. I really enjoyed coming here & I can't wait to bring friends & family. So happy I found this place! read more

Altadena Bakery has super cute pastries. We made the drive because my daughter really wanted to try it, well our four kids, it was very exciting for them. The service was great and very friendly. The location looks clean and well kept. The pastries are on the expensive side, about $15 each, but they are definitely eye-catching, but I'm not sure I would spend that much on a pastry again. Overall, it was a fun experience one time experience, especially for the kids. read more

I hate to have to write this review, but I got bit by the hype bug all on social media. So I had to make the drive down here and trying figure out what I was going to get. The bakery is located right on Glenoaks Blvd so street parking comes at a premium. However, there is a parking lot right behind the bakery that has about 4-5 spaces. There's also a bunch of street parking behind the bakery. If you park back there, you can enter the door in the back instead of having to walk around to the front. Walked in and asked one of the employees if they had a menu I could look at. Instead of handing me the menu, he pointed me to the bakery area. Make sure you grab a ticket when you get to the bakery area as they will not talk to you unless you had a ticket. So I grabbed the ticket and then asked someone for the menu. Since this was my first time here, it took me a while to decide if I wanted a sandwich or pizza for dinner. While waiting for my number to be called, I peruse the goodies and in all honesty, didn't look very interesting tbh. The fruit ones do look fantastic, if I was eating with my eyes, but since I'm not, I will not be paying $10 for that. I'm guessing that's how much it costs. Anyways, I ordered the beef shish sandwich, plain cheesecake, chocolate cake and hazelnut eclair (I think). Total came out to $35 and some change. Then I realized that they charge a 3% credit card fee, so add another $1+ on top of that. Now don't get me wrong, the desserts look great, but again, I do not eat with my eyes. Waited a good 10+ minutes for the sandwich to be ready. I then grabbed a table right outside as it was a nice cool Saturday night. The sandwich alone was about $18 and it was not worth that much. You can get a whole meal for that amount of money. But I digress. I think I read that it's filet mignon pieces and I have to say that it was super tender. The bread is made in house and it was toasted to perfection. It was light and airy and I love that crunch you get when you bite in to it. They add cilantro, raw onions and a creamy sauce. Altogether, I thought the sandwich was pretty good, but I couldn't taste any char from the meat. In fact, the creamy sauce pretty much hid the taste of the meat. The bread did kind of reminded me of a banh mi bread, just lighter. Now on to the desserts. I had the eclair and chocolate cake. I thought the taste was there, but it did taste kind of stale though. Now someone said that this place was a Porto's Killer. Now, I don't think Porto's is all that either, but I would choose Porto's over this place because the desserts definitely taste more fresh there. I am not making the excuse that because I came in around 5pm, that affected the taste/texture of the desserts here, because at Porto's, it doesn't matter what time you walk in, the desserts always taste fresh. Oh that reminds me, I also asked for a plain croissant and just remembered that I had asked for it. The girl totally forgot to add to the box, but luckily, I was not charged for it. But I can only imagine this late in the day, it probably was not going to be flaky anymore. I'm not saying to stay away from this place, but if you haven't been, you should at least give it a try and hopefully have a better experience than me. I might go back for their bread and maybe a pizza next time though. But will not be driving 30 minutes back here. read more

I bought a tray assortment deserts yesterday and took it to my sisters and all I have to say is waste of money. Service was dry, not welcoming at all. Most of these establishments have lost their niche to give good customer service unfortunately. The lady that took our order seemed like she was having a rough morning & was extremely serious. I ordered a breakfast sandwhich which was pretty delicious but the lady forgot to mention this "bacon" was spicy so I couldn't give it to my son. Something important to mention since not everyone likes spicy breakfast sandwiches. Coffee was simple & the tiramisu dessert was also good/ok. Overall not a pleasant first impression - this restaurant is missing character and a better attitude towards their costumers. read more

The desserts look amazing however the female owner is rude to black people, she will not help you and if you speak their language you will be able to go ahead of the line she gives off she's better than and is not welcoming at all. If your looking for these exact same treats try tu cha in La they know how to treat their customers. Not to mention I was super excited to try I drove all the way from Rancho Cucamonga and was very disappointed in the customer service. Will I ever come back? Absolutely not!!l read more

We also did have good service and visually most of the items look stunning. Let's be real though, we came here for the sweets and sadly everything was a disappointment. The driest and underwhelming flavored carrot cake, dry Opera cake, mediocre tiramisu eclairs, the best item of the visit was the mango mousse. I know it's a popular place, and the food did smell good coming from the other side of building but it was a letdown on the dessert front. I have always driven by this place but finally decided to drop in and it did not disappoint! We got the raspberry, peach, and mushroom dessert and they were amazing. The chocolate exterior perfectly balanced the sweet custard filling inside without it being overly sweet. It was on the pricier side so it's good for a special treat! Divine! This place is amazing! I've been there three times this week. The fruit shaped mouse pastries are out of this world. The creativity, artisanship, time, effort, and patience to make these delicious desserts is remarkable. The staff is very friendly and the service is wonderful. I drove from Orange County for their pizza, peach, red apple, raspberry, and mango for UFC 322 and it was AMAZING! Nice ambiance and plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the delicious treats. Took my family here because I saw a lot of good reviews online and on social media. I went there for the fruit desserts and got one of every fruit. The looks and presentation of the dessert were amazing and top quality. However, all of them tasted the same. I expect the apple to have to some extent, an apple taste, but no. They were all the same flavor but the looks were different. That's why I gave them 3 stars. Costumer service was top notch. Popped in today with my brother for a half cheese/ half pepperoni pizza. Small size this time- perfect for 2...especially if you want dessert! He had a giant pistachio croissant filled with cream. I had a plain croissant. I spend a lot of time in France and often have a croissant. The only difference is that Alta Dena croissants are bigger. The taste is absolutely divine. It's family owned and run. Great stop for a box of assorted pastries if you're going to visit friends or family. Definitely worth a visit. You'll be hooked. read more

We've driven by this bakery a few times after dining down the street at La Bamba. Yesterday afternoon, we decided to stop and check out the baked goods. Wow!!! What a display of beautifully crafted pastries, croissants and cookies. Though we were full with our late lunch, we indulged and purchased several items for later and the next day. Came at around noon on a Saturday and it was decently busy but the wait wasn't too bad! There's lots of outdoor seating in the shade. I got the signature pizza and chicken kabob sandwich and we all loved the pizza! The sandwich was pretty good too and the combo with fries was a lot of food. I got the mushroom, pear, and mango desserts and they were great!!! I will have to come back for the pumpkin because they were sold out. The mango was my favorite, the mango inside and the mousse was perfectly fresh tasting and sweet but not too sweet. The mushroom had chocolate mousse, cherry (?) filling and hazelnut filling and was great too! And the pear had a pear filling and the cream/mousse had a great, light pear flavor. Terrible service, ordered one small pizza and pastrami sandwich. Talked to the guy at the front and told me it would be twelve minutes and he would walk out the food. Waited outside for 40 minutes with zero crowd. Walked inside after and the guy somehow forgot about the order although I saw him look at the receipt and match it with his on the counter. All he did was give us some cold fries. Never even admitted he forgot about the order just show some decent respect. read more

Went to Altadena Bakery and clearly asked at the register for the ajarski without cheese. They still brought it with cheese, which already shows a lack of attention to customer requests. When my friend took it back, the staff said there was nothing they could do--very unprofessional and disappointing. For $60, the entire experience felt like a complete waste of money. We were greeted with menus right away and was told the pastas weren't currently available. We ordered two of their pizzas, Pazza pizza and Prosciutto pizza, and two of their salads, Caesar and Antipasto. I really enjoyed the salads and the prosciutto pizza. The Pazaa pizza was good too but the cheese was very filling for me. If you love cheese, you have to try the Pazza. Ingredients are all very fresh! I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the pizzas did take awhile to make and bake, but luckily they had TV on so we watched TV while waiting. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely order takeout from here.

Why can't you charge me *$3* for *1 scoop* (if two more of those would make six dollars)?!? There's no reason a human being has to eat 3 massive scoops of ice cream, in one sitting. I don't care how old you are or what your metabolism is. It was the perfect jumpstart to a long day. If you're staying at Hotel Burbank, this is a short walk away. Came here becus I saw comments online, but I dont think I'd go back, there are many other places with outstanding food & service. The Mexican rice & Café de olla were the standouts of the meal. If you live nearby I could see this being a good place to enjoy a meal, but to come in from farther out isn't worth the drive.

I've been coming here for a long time and have spent quite a bit of money trying many of their desserts. Unfortunately, today was a big disappointment. The portions have noticeably shrunk, yet the prices remain the same. Even worse, the quality just isn't what it used to be -- some of the mousses were either extremely hard or oddly runny inside. I think I've tried half of the menu here lol. My go to is definitely the New York roll and the mango passion fruit cruffin. I love that they change their New York roll flavours often. What really stood out for me was how well balanced the flavours are in their fillings, especially in the New York roll and the cruffin. They also do really well with their citrus combos like the cruffin, exotic or the mango eclair. I wish there was more custard in their fruit danish and sometimes the croissants aren't as soft, possibly a little overcooked. But the pastry on the cruffin was one of the softest and most delicate I've ever had. The macarons are also great especially the yuzu, passionate, hazelnut and raspberry flavours.

My friend and I were having a girls day, so we had to stop by Artelice. She has never been but…read moreloved French inspired pastries, and I've been to their Burbank location, but was always curious to try the studio city location. Luckily because it was a Sunday, we found parking right in from r of the store. From the outside and inside it truly has the Parisian patisserie vibe and feeling, which I love! Once we got inside, we were mesmerized by all the beautiful and delicious looking pastries and dessert options. I also love that they have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We decided to sit inside, one because it was way too hot, and secondly there was this aggressive homeless man who threw a chair towards the glass window of the patisserie. That was scary! The girls working there were aware of this, because apparently he's done this a few times, where he's thrown their outdoor furniture around, so they called 911 immediately, so hopefully that won't be an issue for them in the future! Luckily no one was harmed and no glass was broken, and the psychotic man was far gone. My friend and I decided to get two different desserts. I got the pavlova, and which is one of my favorites. I love the creamy and crunch meringue and the combination of the tart berry filling inside. My friend loves peanuts, so she got the dessert that looked like a peanut, which she loved! The two girls working there were really sweet and offered us a free croissant as a compensation for the momentary chaos caused by the aggressive homeless man, which my friend and I truly appreciated. Overall, we had a great experience here, and I'd definitely come back to try some of their other desserts!
