The definition of mid and overhyped. Came here after seeing a lot of foodie influencers coming here and raving about it. It's nice that it's family owned, and it is a nice location. We also did have good service and visually most of the items look stunning. Let's be real though, we came here for the sweets and sadly everything was a disappointment. The driest and underwhelming flavored carrot cake, dry Opera cake, mediocre tiramisu eclairs, the best item of the visit was the mango mousse. I know it's a popular place, and the food did smell good coming from the other side of building but it was a letdown on the dessert front. Maybe it was a bad day, not sure, or maybe we got the wrong items that they do not specialize in but we'll see. Upon first visit, there are way better options in Burbank. read more

I have always driven by this place but finally decided to drop in and it did not disappoint! We got the raspberry, peach, and mushroom dessert and they were amazing. The chocolate exterior perfectly balanced the sweet custard filling inside without it being overly sweet. It was on the pricier side so it's good for a special treat! Divine! This place is amazing! I've been there three times this week. The fruit shaped mouse pastries are out of this world. The creativity, artisanship, time, effort, and patience to make these delicious desserts is remarkable. The staff is very friendly and the service is wonderful. I drove from Orange County for their pizza, peach, red apple, raspberry, and mango for UFC 322 and it was AMAZING! Nice ambiance and plenty of outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the delicious treats. Popped in today with my brother for a half cheese/ half pepperoni pizza. Small size this time- perfect for 2...especially if you want dessert! He had a giant pistachio croissant filled with cream. I had a plain croissant. I spend a lot of time in France and often have a croissant. The only difference is that Alta Dena croissants are bigger. The taste is absolutely divine. It's family owned and run. Great stop for a box of assorted pastries if you're going to visit friends or family. Definitely worth a visit. You'll be hooked. read more

Took my family here because I saw a lot of good reviews online and on social media. I went there for the fruit desserts and got one of every fruit. The looks and presentation of the dessert were amazing and top quality. However, all of them tasted the same. I expect the apple to have to some extent, an apple taste, but no. They were all the same flavor but the looks were different. That's why I gave them 3 stars. Costumer service was top notch. We've driven by this bakery a few times after dining down the street at La Bamba. Yesterday afternoon, we decided to stop and check out the baked goods. Wow!!! What a display of beautifully crafted pastries, croissants and cookies. Though we were full with our late lunch, we indulged and purchased several items for later and the next day. The items we bought were all fresh and delicious. I'm glad that we stopped by and we will be back soon. read more

Came at around noon on a Saturday and it was decently busy but the wait wasn't too bad! There's lots of outdoor seating in the shade. I got the signature pizza and chicken kabob sandwich and we all loved the pizza! The sandwich was pretty good too and the combo with fries was a lot of food. I got the mushroom, pear, and mango desserts and they were great!!! I will have to come back for the pumpkin because they were sold out. The mango was my favorite, the mango inside and the mousse was perfectly fresh tasting and sweet but not too sweet. The mushroom had chocolate mousse, cherry (?) filling and hazelnut filling and was great too! And the pear had a pear filling and the cream/mousse had a great, light pear flavor. They are a little bit pricey but for a special treat they were great, and I'm sure the cakes are amazing as well! read more

OMG!! The food! The service!! I honestly can't say which was better! My daughter and I came a couple of weeks ago. They remembered us. It was awesome. The bakery was busy. The line moved fast. We ordered pizza, a different one this time. It was sooo tasty! If you are looking for good pizza and tasty treats, it's worth the drive! The service was very nice and informative . This was my first time here , wanted to see for myself the hype about this family owned business. The beautiful fruit shaped pastries was what was going viral on social media. The ambiance was clean , the workers walking past us not to friendly but, I suppose that's okay. Darn darn darn. Drove from Redlands to try this place. Been watching videos of ppl trying the mousse desserts and loving them. I was soooo excited and that was quickly whisked away. I was looking forward to the mango one so it was the first one I tried. I couldn't taste any mango at all unless I had a piece of the fruit, sooo disappointed. Then the raspberry.. now this one wow it's worth a star. The mousse tasted like raspberry and the filling was sooo flavorful. Then the mushroom... I was so confused on what those flavors were supposed to be. Looked like chocolate I tasted a bit of chocolate in the stem but this was a miss. Now to the tiramisu cup. This one right here.... This tasted nothing like tiramisu. Why was there a nutty filling in it. There's no nuts in tiramisu. I'm going to be straight out, they are extremely beautiful amazing looking desserts but I think most of the concentration needs to be more on the flavors. They are expensive treats. I don't mind paying top dollars for great tasting food. But I'm sorry these treats are overpriced over hyped and totally missing the mark. I really wish social media influencers would actually be honest instead of likes or videos for the gram. I had a long sad ride back home. read more

OH MY DAYSS It's so good like the fruit pastry's are to die for, the service is amazing, they are so nice & friendly, knowledgeable. And the banana mousse is so delicious, me and my mother only tried that one so far but we got the raspberry mousse, hazelnut mousse, and a Dubai chocolate cake. Very polite staff and establishment is clean. We came for their fruit pastries and they didn't disappoint. Orange was our favorite but all the flavors were so good, fillings weren't over powering and the mousse was smooth and didn't melt fast as we ate them. We also ordered the breakfast sandwich which had a sweet and tangy flavor of egg and bacon and paired well with Tabasco sauce. Altadena Bakery has been a favorite of mine for years, and they continue to impress every single time. Years ago, I ordered a custom cake for my dad with only a couple of days' notice, and they were so flexible and accommodating. They even designed a fishing-themed cake for him since he's a big fisherman -- and not only was it beautiful, it was absolutely delicious. Fast forward to today, and family brought over their viral fruit desserts that have been all over TikTok. I tried the raspberry, mango, mushroom, and coconut, and I was genuinely impressed by all of them. My favorite was actually the most unexpected one -- the stem of the mushroom, which I believe was strawberry shortcake. It was phenomenal. My second favorite was the mango, followed by the coconut and raspberry, which were both great as well. I already know I'll be back to try the banana and hazelnut next. The Perry's Joint Sandwiches are delightful. Full of tons of turkey on soft, fresh sourdough bread. It was really, really good. Sure you get a little soggy piece of lettuce and a little slice of tomato, but that's standard for a plastic clamshell sandwich. I was very happy with the fresh bread and turkey. They also have other sandwiches, salads and yogurt fruit parfaits. You get a bag of chips or piece of fruit with your sandwich. My large sandwich, easily shared by two people and a bottle of water was $27. Airport prices.

Had to see what the hype was about with the viral mousses from Altadena Bakery--and yeah, they live up to it. The hazelnut one? Next level. It had this crunchy center that gave total Ferrero Rocher vibes. Easily my favorite. Mango came in strong too--super refreshing with actual chunks of mango inside. Raspberry was a little more tart but still hit the spot. Every bite had that perfect combo of mousse and crunch. Service was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. No real parking lot, just street parking, but it's worth the quick hunt. Inside was clean and put together. No doubt--5 out of 5. Definitely recommend grabbing a box and trying them all. read more
