Let me start with the service: the staff was incredibly kind and patient when they noticed my son's autism lanyard, and they even allowed us to come in with our emotional support dog without us needing to ask, that level of empathy and awareness meant a lot to us. Right at the beginning, I had what was honestly the best miso soup I've ever had, followed by the best sunomono as well. What was supposed to be simple dishes already exceeded all my expectations, so by the time the main rolls arrived, my expectations were high, and somehow they still surpassed them. We ordered the Philadelphia Roll, Lion King Roll, and the Golden Bear Roll (highly recommended by our server). Not only were they beautifully presented, but they were absolutely delicious, truly some of the best rolls I've ever had! You've gained a loyal customer. Maybe we came on a bad day, but with how expensive everything was, we're not sure if we'd consider a second chance.

When we asked why our portions were different, we were told they had "run out of the big bowls," despite other tables continuing to receive them. They also had just opened at 5 and we were one of the first parties seated. The entire interaction felt dismissive and honestly discriminatory. Whether intentional or not, the inconsistency was obvious and incredibly off-putting. This restaurants excelled at the salmon test. If you enjoy salmon you know that fresh salmon is a rare treat, it has a buttery texture and it's hard to find truly fresh salmon. Its been over 15 years since I've tasted salmon this fresh. I was honestly stunned. I've already texted my sushi sister and told her that I found another must experience sushi spot.
