What's the ultimate cheat when you are on keto? A carb loaded Fat Baby. It was soooo good. We didn't eat more than like 5 bites of it, but it was heaven. The service here was excellent. First time here. Was told they were booked and couldn't sit us. It was 7pm. Very small location. Took it to go. The hostess seemed super overwhelmed and just all over the place. I had to go up to him and ask him if I could order now and he just said sure. I felt rushed that I didn't even order all I wanted. It was busy as people came and told they could not be seated. The food was ok, I've had better. I ordered the lasagna which was tasty, came with a salad no bread. Also ordered the fettuccine with the bread, which was good. The whole purpose we went there was for the experience which obviously didn't get. I wouldn't go back personally but the food was good. read more

My daughter saw The "Fat Baby" on Tik -Tok. My parents were in town for the weekend. So i decided we should give It a try . I was a bit tied up and sent my patents ahead of me . My Mom texts me where have you sent us?? It looks like a dumpy strip mall . 15 min later she texts OMG so far the food is great and the service is great ! I arrived, my parents didnt stop eating to even say hello. LOL We had Rosemary Garlic knots Beet and Goat Cheese salad with Chicken( my Fave!) Amano is amazing! Shout out to David V and Suki K for introducing me to this spot. They planned a group dinner here where we were able to meet with Chef Jay and try several of their best dishes. When you first come in, the space looks like a takeout joint, but hang a right and there's the dining room. The dish that most piqued my interest is the Pumpkin Parmigiana, featuring layers of lightly-fried pumpkin in place of the usual eggplant, layered with mozzarella and marinara. It is crispy, gooey perfection, and Chef Jay must be my spirit animal because his namesake sandwich on the lunch menu also features the fried gourd that I love so much! Other dishes we tried were the arancini (rice balls), Braciole (rolled flank steak), and one of their pizzas- the Cindy, which riffs on the bacon wrapped date app that so many people love. Add in caramelized onion and a bit of pesto to add flavor and cut the sweetness, throw it all on a fresh, chewy pie, and there you go. It's dreamy, and the fact that it's named after a customer is a cool touch, too!. Come hungry, because they also have some stellar desserts- you can get a cannoli (with both chocolate and pistachio!) free with Yelp check in, or try their Rainbow Cake (based on the famous cookie). Or, if you're too full, just get your sugar fix from their awesome house rosemary lemonade- I didn't initially think this would go with an Italian dinner, but I couldn't stop sipping! My husband and I love this little place!! The fat babies were delicious and the bread it was served in was top notch. We took our friends from out of town here after our first visit and had the pizza pie-zoni which was absolutely delicious. We got the New Yorker for the pizza part. It's good food. I enjoyed the pizza with the beet salad. Stromboli was aight. I arrived by accident and didn't have a reservation. I got seated in about 10 minutes, and the staff provided excellent service. The lavender lemonade is ridiculous. I don't know if it's reservation-worthy, and they only require reservations because the location is tiny--a crazy small shopping center by the freeway. From what I can recall, they only have 4 tables for 2 and 4 for 4. read more

If I could give them a 0, I would. Fu*k this spot. I attempted to take my family there before... they said reservations only, and they're all booked for the day. I tried for another reservation, they only had one 3 hours out. He asked for first/ last name, phone #, & a credit card. If you break your reservation it's a $45 charge to your card. The only thing missing is a resort fee! I will make sure anyone I know or can reach never jumps through hoops to sit in your restaurant. You might think your business is good... but what goes up, must come down. When your seats are empty, remember how hard you made it to get a seat. Best of luck... karma brings humility too read more

Been dying to try this place! Baguettes stuffed with pasta, how can anyone resist?! My friends and I came for the first time, we ordered the calzone appetizer and crazy knots. The crazy knots were okay, but the fried calzone balls were excellent! We also ordered two fat baby's, the main attraction. One fat baby stuffed with lasagna and the other stuffed with fettuccini Alfredo. The pasta was so delicious and savory. One fat baby is definitely enough for two to share! This restaurant is a hidden gem! It's hidden in a parking lot and if you don't know about it, it's hard to find. My husband saw a Tik Tok video about this place and told me we HAD to go and boy was I not disappointed. They are known for their signature Fat Baby's. I like to call it a pasta stuffed sandwich. They range from $15-$20 depending on which one they get. Definitely large enough to share and I'm going to do that next time. Their special for the day was the Chicken Piccata Fat Baby and it was yummy. I loved the Alfredo sauce they use. I ordered the Lasagna fat baby and the ricotta cheese was my absolutely favorite. This place is a must try! Not only is the food amazing the service matches the quality of food. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She checked on us frequently, asked how we liked the food and wrapped up our left overs. they offer a military discount. They bring out fresh warm bread that is so good that I had to move it away from me so I could have room for my food. I got the chicken Alfredo fat baby. First off this is not for one person, I can feed 2-3 people. The Alfredo sauce is creamy and tastes so good. The bread on the fat baby tastes like garlic bread. You would think something this big may not taste great but it's is so delish! My husband got the spicy Italian sandwich, this is another 2 Person sandwich. The sandwich tastes fresh and the bread it's in holds up nice the the sandwich. The portions you get makes you feel like you are getting over because they are so reasonable priced. It's truly messed up how delicious the food is here. Expect to be FULL at the end of your meal. Everything was amazing. Don't miss out on the garlic knots and lemonade! The shock factor of their fat babies is what brings you here, but the flavor and value will keep you coming back. The pizza wasn't good enough to order again; AND the DoorDash order that I was going to deliver was itself 30 minutes late even though I arrived 10 minutes later myself due to having to find nearby parking. Frankly, I'd give it one star; however they could improve.

My recent visit to this pizza and Italian restaurant was an absolute nightmare, and it all stemmed from their complete disregard for the principle of "first come, first serve." To make matters worse, I discovered that the restaurant exclusively catered to reservations, leaving walk-in customers like myself feeling utterly excluded and disrespected. When I arrived at the restaurant, I anticipated a short wait before being seated. However, it quickly became apparent that this establishment had no intention of honoring the concept of fairness and equal treatment for all. The person in front, rather than acknowledging the waiting customers, focused his attention solely on those who had made reservations. It was as if the restaurant believed that only those with prior arrangements deserved to be served, while the rest of us were invisible. I approached the host, politely expressing my frustration and inquiring about the possibility of being seated. He responded with a dismissive attitude, stating that they were fully booked with reservations and had no availability for walk-in customers. The complete lack of consideration for those who had taken the time to visit the restaurant without a reservation was disheartening, to say the least. Not only was the "first come, first serve" principle disregarded, but the restaurant also failed to communicate their reservation-only policy clearly. There were no signs or notices indicating that walk-in customers would not be accommodated. It felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead and inconvenience unsuspecting patrons. Feeling frustrated and disrespected, I decided to observe from the waiting area. It was disheartening to see empty tables remain unoccupied, while eager customers were turned away simply because they hadn't made a reservation. The restaurant's exclusive approach not only created an atmosphere of elitism but also demonstrated a complete lack of respect for those who had chosen to dine spontaneously. Regrettably, I cannot comment on the quality of the pizza or Italian food the overall dining experience, as I was denied the opportunity to try them firsthand. However, based on the restaurant's blatant disregard for fairness and customer inclusivity, it is difficult to imagine that the food or service would be anything remarkable. In conclusion, I strongly advise against visiting this pizza and Italian restaurant, especially if you are a walk-in customer. Their complete disregard for the "first come, first serve" principle and exclusive reservation policy demonstrate a lack of respect for their customers. I wish I can leave 0 star on this. If you are Asian or African American then this is not a restaurant you should go to. All customers should be treated with respect and provided with excellent service, regardless of their race. My daughter and I came for dinner at 8:00pm but we were told the restaurant is fully booked for the day. Surprisingly while waiting for our togo... at 8:20pm they gave a table to 4 white guests who didn't have a reservation. I noticed they did that to African American customers too. I raised up my question to one of the staff and I was told that their guests left early so they an open table ( they answered with an attitude and rude way). Why didn't they ask us if we want a table while we were there. Any restaurant that appears to be employing staff based on race should be held accountable for discriminatory practices, as this goes against the principles of equality and fairness. It's essential for businesses to promote diversity and inclusion in their hiring practices and ensure that all guests are treated with dignity and respect. Food was okay not as good as other reviews stated. I hope the owner sees this and retrains the staff. read more

This place had such great service and great food! I had gone on a Thursday night around 7pm, it was not busy on the sit down side but had a lot of foot traffic for take out orders. Started with some of the chicken wings and by far the wings here were perfectly crisp and flavored jus right. I had already been won over. We had also ordered the risotto rice rolls and they were amazing! Crispy outside, gooey and nice on the inside and sauced appropriately. For the main course we all got the "Fat Baby". You can get any pasta or sandwich in "Fat Baby" form. Its a giant cone stuffed with whatever you ordered and covered in extra cheese. This thing is HUGE! totally 2 person meal in 1 cone. We had the Veal parmigiana and a couple of people with us ordered the fettuccini Alf redo one. I highly recommend this place and I will be an ongoing customer because the food is great, the price is right, the staff is super friendly. I've been to A-Mano several times and I've always had a great experience. The pizza is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and the dough is made in-house daily. The crust is thin and crispy, and the toppings are generous. I highly recommend the Margherita pizza and the Fat Baby pizza. In addition to pizza, A-Mano also serves a variety of other Italian dishes, such as pasta, salads, and appetizers. I genuinely appreciate this establishment, especially for a quick lunch. Rather than trying what is popular, I opted for some appetizers and a sandwich. The rice balls are truly delectable, and the marinara sauce is so flavorful that I could easily enjoy it on its own. They evoke memories of back east. The small house salad is quite generous in portion size, but I have no complaints. The sandwiches are generously proportioned and can easily be shared.
