I will never again go to another auto shop! I came here the first time to get an alignment and Gilbert told me he couldn't align it because my rack and pinion bushings were shot and I need to replace those first. He recommended that I do them myself because it is easy and I would save $200 in labor since I told him I can do some work myself. When I brought my Tundra back they Aligned it and I was ready to pay the amount I was quoted but when Manny gave me the bill it was $20 less so I told him I owe him $20 still but he told me no because I only needed the front aligned! I haven't had this kind of service from mechanics in the last. Matter of fact I started working on my own vehicles because I was really screwed in the past. However, now that I know AMC and their awesome reputation. I will keep coming here instead of wasting my time trying to do something I don't know how. I came back the second time because I tried to replace knock sensors in my truck and broke a few parts in the process. I gave up after costing myself more money than if I had should let AMC take care of it. Anyhow, Manny told me he would take care of me and the bill was really reasonable. So reasonable that I regretted wasting the 12 hours and two weeks without my truck because I attempted it myself. Third time, today actually I gave my Honda Civic to them to replace my starter because my wife's car wouldn't start and I got it back starting like new again. Extremely reasonable prices!! Now that I know AMC and their awesome reputation. I will keep coming here instead of wasting my time trying to do something I don't know how. AMC in mid city helped me with a total broken down Auto tranney on a 12 year old Mercedes AMG transmission a few months ago and it's been running great since. The car is overloaded with mileage and surprised the transmission lasted and when it stopped I had to redo the mounts and the bushings too. Now it's been great 6 months in. read more

Came here after reading the great Yelp reviews and was not disappointed! I took my car in because it was having some problems for a while. I first reached out via Yelp message, and they were super responsive. I made a call and was able to set an appointment to come in the next day. They took about an hour to look at my car and figure out what needed to be fixed. There's a couch inside the office with free WiFi, and there's a nice coffee shop (Esso) within walking distance (~3 minutes) as well. I was scared that they would be pushy (and I'm bad at saying no), but the worker (owner?) I talked with was just straightforward in telling me what was wrong with my car, what needed to be done, and let me know the price. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get it fixed yet because it was more money than I was expecting, but the worker was super understanding and let me know that I could shop around and think about it before making a decision. Didn't charge me at all for their time and was very kind. I tried getting into contact with some other places to research prices; I got one quote that was several hundred dollars more. Since the prices at AMC seemed relatively affordable and the worker was so nice/chill, I decided to get my car fixed at AMC. I was able to come in a day or two later and get it all fixed within the same day. Highly recommend this place :). Thank you! read more

Let me start by saying "Manny is DA MAN!" in looking out for the customer's interest, even at the expense of AMC's bottom line. Our story begins with my family driving in from CA on a rental SUV when we experienced a blow out flat on the 101. Fast forward to the next day after AAA got us on a "donut" spare allowing us to be mobile and find a tire shop. My wife found AMC based on the Yelp reviews and I reached out and got a hold of Manny. AMC was busy that day but when I explained I needed a tire replacement ASAP so our holiday would not be too disrupted he said he would try to help. Manny determined AMC did NOT have the tire size our SUV needed but stated he was willing to drive to his supplier to pick one up for us. He told me he would call when he was ready with the replacement. When I drove to AMC and started the check in process he looked at the SUV and stated "it's a brand new looking car do you know if you have some sort of warranty to cover the blow-out flat?" It was at this time I told him it's a rental ergo a new car. Manny then proceeded to tell me if it is a rental then the rental car company may either reimburse me for the tire change or even replace the tire/car for us, depending on the type of rental contract I signed up for. Manny then said, "what do you got to lose aside from time making a phone call" as I awaited my turn for the tire to be replaced. Moreover, Manny was even apologetic saying if I had initially told him it was a rental in our first conversation then he would have told me about first calling the rental car company and saving me a trip down from north of Phoenix! I called the rental company and was told to bring the car into the nearest car rental location and they would exchange it! Shame on me for being ignorant about rental car contracts and what a rental car company will or will not do to support its customers, based on contract, but Manny enlightened me of the possibility. Manny's honesty looking out for the customer saved me over $200.00 on the tire replacement!!! Other tire shops may have gladly taken my hard earned $200.00+ without inquiring or advising me of other options available so I am thankful to Manny for his honesty and willingness to help a customer even if he/AMC did NOT profit from it. I am sad I don't have Manny and AMC in my hometown cuz if so AMC and Manny would DEFINITELY get my business! The best I can do to show my appreciation and repay Manny's honesty is to write this positive review in the hope it'll convince some of you to support Manny and AMC Automotive. My check engine light has been turning on and off for months now, and every time I took it to an O'Reilly's, I was told I needed to replace the gas cap. I did that, and yet the light still kept coming on within a day. I took it to another auto shop, and was quoted something near $1,000 to replace the entire fuel line - no thanks! After putting it off for months, I finally decided to bring my car to AMC Automotive. They ran their tests and informed me that nothing was wrong and nothing needed to be replaced, the light was just a fluke, and they would take care of it for me (I'm sure there is a more technical expression to explain it). One week later, and the light still hasn't come back on! Hallelujah! I'm not sure what magic they worked, but I am very grateful. While determining the reason for the check engine light, I did have some other minor repairs done to my car, including a complete radio replacement. There was only one minor repair they could not complete, and they explained to me how it could be done elsewhere at a dealer. Overall, I have had a fantastic experience with AMC Automotive. The cost was lower than I expected and within my budget. It was such a relief to finally have my car repaired by people who are honest and actually care about their customers! I just moved to the valley, and was in need a simple oil change. Gilbert and his crew took care of me. Not only did they do the oil change... While doing a once-over on my car checking the fluids, etc., he noticed one of my tires was low on air. It just so happen that the tire had a nail in it and he went ahead and patched it. I know what you're thinking - bold move reviewing a place before you've even picked up your car. Let me explain: the tow truck driver told me for certain that my alternator was broken. So I priced out my alternator with these guys (got an immediate quote over the phone, which was answered by a friendly human being). They inspected my car promptly and told me my alternator was working just fine. It was my battery. I would give 10 stars if I could! We have a student at GCU and over the course of the weekend the maintenance required and check engine light came on then a flat tire that was beyond repair. Knowing we let him leave for school from CA with tires being close to their end I was worried about getting an honest opinion and fair pricing for replacement. Manny was great! From California. Drove my car here for a baseball tournament. On the way here, the plastic shield underneath the car was hanging lose. I didn't know any shops around until I found theses guys. I called and Mario picked up the phone. Explained to him what happened and accommodated me to come over and he would take a look. Right when I arrived, he personally lifted the car with the hydraulic jack. He inspected the damage. Found out it was just a push pin. Mario secured the shield and I was on my way. As a lot of folks can imagine it's tough and sometimes scary to take your car to any mechanic. I read over 30 reviews on the AMC team before going. The ultimate test is to let them diagnose and share the cost. Once I heard the recommendation and the price I was pleasantly surprised not to hear an up sale to any unneeded service. I was able to get an appointment in the morning and it was completed by the afternoon once a decided to move forward. It's not a luxurious building with free water which is just fine as long as they get it right, which they did. They are honest and friendly and efficient. My Honda is running great. They provided me a very reasonable quote on my repairs (A/C and replaced rack and pinion on my truck) and were able to complete the repairs in one day! I just had a great experience having my car repaired at AMC! I had a few things going on, AMC did a thorough inspection and sent me quotes for all their recommended repairs along with an explanation of the issues. I talked through things with Manny and made a decision on what was best to do now with no feeling of being pressured! Excellent service. I was able to get the whole thing scheduled over Yelp. The service was really good and really fast. I dropped my car off on Wednesday at 3 PM and it was done Thursday at 10 AM. I got my timing belt and water pump changed. Price is the same as most places but I feel like the service and speed was far better than most shops I've been to in the past. So its more bang for your buck. They also fixed a part of the engine that was off in the timing before replacing the belt. So I appreciate that too. Car feels smoother than before with the new belt in there. Very happy with this place and I highly recommend it. read more
