    Apollo

Dr Sandhu, and his staff especially Kimberly and Cristina are amazing. Doctor Is kind and patient and a true expert in Doberman ear cropping. My sweet boy Apollo had his ears cropped by another vet and one flopped. Dr Sandhu made it right. Doctor's attention to detail and perfection was greatly appreciated for a good outcome. Not only that his tech technicians in the back office are amazing as well. Everyone treated me and Apollo so kind and warm and comforting. Thank goodness Apollos ears are perfect now. I would highly recommend them. Not only that Dr neutered Apollo as well using the laser procedure. The outcome was quick and his recovery time was so much shorter than the traditional neuter. Again, I would highly recommend American Pet Hospital.

    Beautiful, clean facility!

Great vet! Great caring, loving staff, and doctors, very thorough, they take time with patients, and explain care very well, they provide great care, clean office, and exam rooms. So glad I found them! Highly recommend. I felt very secure that my dog was in great care after speaking with the staff, and seeing how the office is run. Very good and, kind people. Great care for my dog. I will continue to take all my animals here, and refer them to anyone needing a good vet! They also have great communication, and call right away after surgery, to ensure you that your baby is doing well, and surgery was a success. Thank you, American Pet Hospital!

First posting after Doberman Ear Crop. Looks stunning!

Update: here is a photo after her first posting. Absolutely stunning! Huge shout out to Dr.Shandu. Love the staff!

First time I been there it was pretty quick visit in and out I gave them a bad review but I gave them another try because of there prices and it was a lot better they took time to explain things to me. Fast and friendly people. thank you everyone

I hope I can help someone prevent this from happening to their baby. I brought my Frenchie Loui to get neutered here on Monday, february 10th. Everything seemed ok when I picked him up. 3 days later starting Thursday he started getting a little swollen, i assumed maybe it was normal from healing from what i had researched online. Friday evening, he blew up. The swelling was not only in his area, but it started going to his chest, he had a lump forming, and his back legs were getting really swollen, his balls we're bright red, hard, it was terrible. American pet hospital closes at 5.... There on bank hours.. lol... so I had to rush to another emergency vet to get him seen..... $2,000 later at the new vet it turned out to be a huge infection. they did a surgery on him and got a ton of puss out of his body, drained, and put him on a tonnnn of antibiotics... This vet informed me that it had healed normal on the outside, but the infection was internal, something that would have occurred during the neuter. My loui now has a drain tube in his area to keep draining out infection. He'll have this drain tube in for a week, and another long recovery ahead. I went to this vet because it's cheap, and well there you have it. I ended up spending way more in emergency and I almost lost loui due to this. This place American pet hospital does surgeries every day, but they have the audacity to close on the weekends, and not to mention during the week they close at 5 PM? Like who do you guys think you are, you're not a bank having those kind of hours lmfao ur a pet hospital. you guys need to be open at least until 8PM and if you're operating doing surgeries every day during the week, you should at least have to be open Saturday and Sunday for a couple of hours just in case one of your patients has an emergency from a complication of the surgery that YOU guys performed. U guys don't even have a vet to take an emergency call on the weekends, what kind of practice is this. I will never be back, and I will let all my family and friends know about our experience.

    Rest easy, beautiful Kokoa Kitty.

Today we had to make the most difficult decision, and put our beautiful Kokoa Kitty to rest. Dr. Josan was extremely sympathetic to the development situation, and made Kokoa Kitty's transitio, beautiful. My gratitude to Dr. Josan, and the wonderful staff at American Pet Hospital.

I think this place is awesome! Staff is great! They definitely specialize in exotic breeds. Artificial inseminations, progesterone tests, c sections. I drive 75mi to bring my frenchys here. You call in let them know your outside and they do the rest. I'll definitely keep coming back. Thx!

Spay by vet.#2 at same place, after just 2 days. Excellent work. A+ by this vet. #2.

We waited 2.5 hours before being even assessed. But other than that I was happy with the visit. I read all the reviews and was worried about the level of care due to what I was reading. My cat bootsie came in with what seemed like she was exposed to a toxin. I'm glad we brought her in. It was the hardest decision ever but right by her. She had a fever of 106.4 and would have likely passed at home in pain. We opted for euthanasia due to the diagnosis and I knew it was coming. I couldn't afford treatment as it was. They didn't even charge me for the doctors exam for the $189 they only charged us for the euthanasia. Which I felt was a fair price for $199 to take the body home vs golden valley vet whom I called for a quote on the same thing and they quoted me $360!!! Not even for cremation The doctor she was very kind and explained the options and gave me reality. We made the right choice by Bootsie. The staff were great in helping me shave a patch of her fur and even got her paw prints for me and nose prints. I didn't even think they would get it since her whole mouth was covered in the activated charcoal I gave her. But I saw when I got home how many great prints they did of her paws and nose and it warmed my heart to have those. Thanks for helping her transition over the rainbow bridge

However, once we were placed in a room, we waited for an hour and a half and no technician or veterinarian came in to check on us. No one provided any updates or explained what was going on. We ultimately decided to leave and go somewhere else. This was not how we wanted our little dog's final moments to be handled. It felt like there was very little communication or urgency. It was a very disappointing and upsetting experience during an already difficult time.

Thank goodness I listened to our friend who is a retired veterinarian. Dr. Yu and staff kept me in the loop at all times. Saw her X-ray, stayed with there as they treated her for bladder stones. Surgery was required. Dr. Yu called me at 2 am about his findings and her prognosi. Long story short, she went back and forth from there to regular vet (they are only there from 6pm to 8am) for several days. Another surgery, another 2 am phone call. It has been VERY expensive, but doc was up front about my dog's prognosis. Even though home, Dr. Yu has called several times with information about cultures and medications, and to check on her progress. She is 6 days out now and full of life and pep again. VEC and the kind, competent staff is responsible for her recovery. It got down to how much we were willing/able to pay for this life that totally depends on us. There was much discussion about this but chose to stick it out. FYI if you have a beloved pet, get health insurance. Many thanks to this entire staff!!! We took our cat here and did a bunch of tests and he was ok but had some sneezes. Took him in for a follow up bloodwork a few months later and his ALT liver enzyme was over 600. We saw doctor Pam who recommended shots and a CT scan as "top line treatment" because immediately they thought it was a congenial issue. Spent money on the Ct scan and it was negative but his liver enzymes were still going up. NOT ONCE did they start any treatment but they sure did run more tests. All negative and NOT ONCE did doctor Pam recommend any type of plan other than a $5000 invasive biopsy on our 1 year old cat. The enzymes went up over 1000 and I went online and found out info about steroids on my own since nothing was being done and asked Doctor Pam, who insisted we HAVE to do a biopsy and she had the nerve to say steroids might inflame his liver and it would be too much to give him steroids...but a full liver biopsy is fine? Ok. We got a second opinion and this new vet who actually cares about animals over money started him on an empirical treatment immediately and now his liver enzymes are back to normal a month and a half later...with a steroid called Prednisolone that bypasses the liver anyway. I feel so frustrated. For one, I'm mad she didn't even try to start him on anything, no treatment plan at all cuz they knew we loved this baby and would pay to help him. They messed with our vulnerability. For two, we paid a ton of money thinking we were trusting someone who actually cared, and for three and maybe the most aggravating and upsetting part, we put our little cat through so much and so many treatments because THIS VET told us it was needed it...and almost put him through a biopsy for no reason. Shame on you and the whole practice for valuing money over animals. Go to a vet who actually cares. Doctor Pam and this horrible place only care about your money and not your babies. Never again. The only thing they did do was help us with insurance because God knows they want their money. Unbelievable. Go to Village Oak or Waterford Vet or Animal Medical instead of this money hungry practice. We are lucky we actually still even have our little baby after this.
