Since I moved to Patterson apricot and true blue has been the veterinary clinics that I bring my fur babies, my Oliver wake up, shaking his head to scratch one of his years. I called Apricot and I got an appointment the next day , he got tested for ear infection, and ear mite even if he he's only indoor cat they still at risk. He only have an ear infection while he was there, he got his rabies shot and they clean his ears. It was funny because he's the more wild of my cat in the latest told me that he was the sweetest cat ever how that possible lol he got a prescription for ear drops and he has been doing really good. Since then I want to ask one of the ladies if they want to come to give him a pet because the cat that he was there is not the same the one that I have home. read more

After my regular vet retired, I didn't have many choices to stay close to home for vet care. With mulitple animals, it made sense to give Apricot a try. I have two special needs pups and well as rescuing any cats in need. I had used them previously in a couple emergency situations for feral cats and had positive experiences. I have taken two of my three dogs in for issues, took two emergencies in with feral kittens and have had a couple of repeat dog visits. I have seen 4 of the Vets that practice here and have had positive experiences with all of them. The vet techs and front desk staff have also been great. My dog was scheduled to have her tail amputated removing a cancerous tumor. After a financial error 100% their fault they refused to continue with the surgery unless I made a 2nd payment w/o getting a confirmation the 1st payment would be refunded to me. They had already sedated her starting the surgery when I refused to make the 2nd payment w/o that confirmation so they canceled her surgery. This is how we left their clinic. Even after they saw i was good for the whole amout. Plz dont worry about my fur baby we already found another vet & they already received the full payment to do what they should have done. My friend came here for a very important cancer removal surgery for her dog. The staff here accidentally charged the wrong hospital for the surgery and wanted my friend to come out of pocket for the full payment to correct their mistake. The manager and the lady at the front desk were no help with this matter. They weren't able to come to a viable resolution on the matter and now her loving companion has to wait 10 more days to have the surgery at a different location that was desperately needed today. The older lady in the front is possibly the rudest person I have encountered. I have 4 dogs and when I went by the first time she belittled all the other girls working there, After 8 months, I took one dog to try it out, just as rude as before, the vet and the others are so amazingly nice. We have been taken our fur baby here for a long time and they have always been kind and friendly. And then just this week our 13-year-old old dog Chelsey had a heart problem and lost much blood flow to her brain and was dying so we took her in the next morning to have her put to sleep (my heart was breaking) They took us right in as so she would not suffer any longer than she had to. The doctor was so compassionate and gentle and let us hold her the last few moments of her life while they gave her the injections that ended her pain. My wife and I were a mess and as we were getting ready to leave, I asked if I could pay the bill, I was shocked when the doctor said that there was no charge. I have a French Bulldog that has had his puppy Care shots here and when I really needed their help they refused.... My puppy needs to be seen because there is something wrong with his eye. I've been off work, so I'm struggling pretty badly right now, and when I asked if they could simply discount the office visit, so instead of $49. I asked for $29 or $39, they said no and not very nicely. Sadly it's more about the money to this place and empathy and the love of animals is not important to this office. read more

Took my 14+ year old Chihuahua in for a large mass on her back leg. Dr. Lane and her staff were very caring and non-judgement. Sometimes you got to a vet office and it feels like there's a disconnect between the techs and the doctor. But I felt like they all communicated and I felt I didn't need to repeat my story over and over again. Dr. Lane was very personable. She called me herself to tell me the results of the tests they did. Unfortunately my dog was diagnosed with cancer, and with her other issues, the diagnosis was not hopeful. She also made sure to prescribe pain meds and nerve blockers to help manage any pain she was feeling. Dr. Lane made sure to send me the results and she made sure to go over them with me so that I would understand. Unfortunately 2 days after her diagnosis, she passed on her own, nothing Dr. Lane or I could have done to prevent her passing, the cancer she had took her too fast. I appreciate everyone at Apricot Veterinary Clinic. Everyone was very helpful and always got back to me in a timely manner. I feel better knowing why she passed away. read more

Posted: 9/17/2022 12:00:00 AM about True Blue Veterinary Hospital I took my dog Denis in to have Rabies shot and teeth looked at on sides asked to clean 1st she said they need to be pulled never mentioned how many she scheduled for 8/26 9am I called them at 1030a to see how he was doing she said they had not started but if any problems they would call me, she said he would be ready at 4p my sister picked him up and was told he had 8 teeth pulled, the next day I started his meds as instructed I noticed his from gum was swollen and red like blood I called next day left message I was called that Monday 8/29/22 & told 26 teeth were pulled I was like why wasn't I told or called his front teeth were fine, she couldn't answer she had to s/w technician she said they use a measuring system & took upon self to pull he already had 11 missing, he was a rescue dog I asked to s/w mgr her name was Maria she called me back she said that's what they do I said that should have been my decision & should have been called that, that many had to be pulled I asked for compensation for 1/2 off, she said she would call me back she never did, I called her after 10 days, she offered $50 off I declined I said I have to change his whole diet bc of this, good dog food is not cheap she said she would call me in a few days she never did she sent a letter stating the same thing and said to find another vet which I already had read more

I am still bringing my dogs to Apricot. I still have great things to say about it. My three dogs have grown since my last review but are doing good. The latest shots they are getting is their flu shots. I didn't realize that's dogs can get the flu just like us. The staff love what they do and when I come in they remember my babies names which I love!!! Treated one of my cats for flea allergies so that was nice. But they suggested I kill my other cat for a broken leg because they said it would cost thousands to fix it, so I took my cat to Dr Barrett in Turlock who respected his desire to live and fixed him right up for a fraction of what Apricot said it would cost. Worth the drive not to feel like I'm taking my animals somewhere they will be treated like a number. read more

Bad vet. Took my dog Princess Peach in thinking she had eaten something. She seemed to be recovering last night and I stayed up monitoring her....Today I took my dog to a real vet, still thinking she had eaten something. The real vet immediately diagnosed head trauma. My dog is now dead. Time could have saved her if this horrible vet had known what she was doing. If she did she could have diagnosed my dog right and my dog would still be here maybe. Also she didn't return my dogs collar and I've never experienced that with a vet. Do not go here!!!!! read more

Love this clinic and their staff! Appointments are pretty easy to get and the staff are great with the four legged "patients!" The vets always explain everything in terms I understand and take time with my dogs, we are not rushed through our visit. I recommend Apricot any time anyone asks me where we take our animals to the vet and will continue to do so, because of the compassion, care and great customer service that we receive every time we go there. This is an excellent clinic. The staff and vets are caring and compassionate. Dr. Rodriguez is awesome. She went above and beyond when I brought my dog in. My dog was a senior with a heart condition. It was heartbreaking to see a member of your family sick and on their way out during their last days. Dr. Rodriguez did all she could to keep my Baby comfortable until her heart gave out. It meant a lot to have a team of people who would delicately handle the situation and treat my dog with the same care and compassion as I would. read more

My wife and I have been using Apricot Veterinary Clinic for many years now. We've brought all of our dogs to them for various reasons. A few years ago our 14 year old Labrador Angus was not doing well at all. He had lived a great life and his body was just broken down so to old age. AVC came to our home and put our boy Angus down for us. It was such a blessing to have him pass in comfort at his own home and not in the vet clinic. So this leads us to yesterday. Our yellow Labrador Maybelle who was 13 was not doing well at all. She hadn't eaten in a few days so Jenn took her in to the AVC. They did an ultrasound and found a large mass in her intestine and another near by. We new Maybelle had been sick for the last year so this unfortunately wasn't a complete surprise. The decision was made at the vet to put Maybelle down that day. Dr. Woultee has been the best vet in so many ways. After the ultrasound she had "the talk" with Jenn. After Jenn and I made the final decision Jenn took Maybelle home and I left work to come home as well. Dr. Woultee left an IV outlet in Maybelle's arm so she wouldn't have to poke her again later. I thought this was great planning with compassion. We scheduled Dr. Woultee to come over to our home later that night. This gave Jenn and I a few hours to be with Maybelle before she went to be with Angus. We were able to take her to wildlife refuge in Gustine with her two little sisters. Maybelle loved running around the refuge. At 13 she still loved being out, but her body couldn't handle the playing around as much. After taking Maybell out we went back to the house and spent more time with Maybelle. This means we cried our eyes out knowing that in a little while she would be gone. Since this was our second time doing this we new the process and were as prepared as we could be. We too Maybelle and her bed with a blanket to the backyard where she loved to relax. We payed her blanket on top of her bed and we all laid out in the backyard and waited for Dr. Woultee. When Dr. Woultee arrived I took her in the backyard where the rest of the family was. Dr. Woultee sat down with Maybelle and Jenn and I and she talked to us about what was going to happen. Dr. Woultee was beyond professional in this very tough time. By having the needle connection already in Maybelle's arm it was a very easy and non traumatic experience for Maybelle. The fist injection put her to sleep and the second injection delivered her to Angus. She drifted off to sleep so peacefully. Jennifer were able to have some time with Maybelle's body and giver her a kiss goodbye before we loaded her in Dr. Woultee's vehicle. Maybelle is on her way to be cremated and when she returns to us we will put her with her man Angus. Next year we will take Angus and Maybelle to Montana one final time and spread their ashes. Thank you so much to Apricot Valley Clinic and especially Dr. Woultee for your professionalism and kindness that you showed to not only Jenn and myself, but also Angus and Maybelle. Maybelle Loved the great outdoors and especially camping in Montana. Maybelle is survived by her mother Jennifer, father Derek, and two sisters, Little Ann and Daisy. I have been to numerous vets between San Francisco, San Jose and Modesto and have never quite found a vet I was happy with bringing Bear in the 12 years I have had him. Dr Woultee and all the staff at Apricot vet are by the far the most compassionate, patient, thoughtful and knowledgeable people and I'm am now fully confident in bringing him in to see them as my first choice. Bear the Pom is living with chronic bronchitis and narrowing of his trachea for several years now, and spends his time split between Patterson and San Francisco and often times I need my mom to help bring him in. They have also shown so much patience in making sure they were communicating diagnosis and treatment clearly , between my mom and I even when I could not physically be there. I heard a disturbing story today about four mutilated kittens that were found in a trash bag last week. One of the kittens was sill alive at the time and the person that found them brought it to Apricot Vet. Unfortunately, Apricot would not help. The kitten was denied the chance to live she fought so hard to hold onto. Neither the Vet nor the vet tech did anything to help, and the kitten died. It's very sad they have no compassion. Caring for animals requires compassionate people. Needless to say, I will NOT bring my cat back there. Nor will I be bringing my other cats or ever recommend them. I just moved here a couple of months ago and I'll go to the other vet in downtown Patterson. If needed, I will drive to my previous vet in Pleasant Hill where I used to live. I do not trust people who lack compassion. Furthermore, I should have listened to the previous owner of the house we bought here. They told me not to take my pets to Apricot Vet. I am from out of town staying with my family in Patterson for a few months with my two black labradors. On two different occasions, there have been emergencies with the dogs that have required my to rush them down to this vet. On BOTH occasions I was turned away--once because i did not have an appointment (although while we were in the office it was completely empty) and the other time it was 530 in the afternoon and the clerk asked the vet who said "no, I'm headed out the door". Although my dog was bleeding and needed attention--even the front desk clerk could see that--the vet wouldn't even stay an extra ten or twenty minutes to help. I had to take my dog out to Turlock (an hour away), bleeding in my car because no one at Apricot would help. So much for "customer service". Go elsewhere. This place SUCKS. read more

Very dissapointed. My dog is suffering with arthritis and has been given various meds but it's not sufficient. I have left detailed messages with the staff and have been told I would get a call back for over a week but no one has called. The reason given is that they are busy which I understand but to not receive a call back in over a week and having called 4 times it's kind of hard to understand how this is happening. I've spent about $800 there in the last 3 weeks so I am a paying customer. Not satisfactory in my opinion. I will say that when the doctor actually gets in touch with me she is very helpful and Accomadating so I am raising my rating but 8 days to call you back is pretty long when you have a suffering animal. read more

So I had to put two of my cats to sleep in less than a week apart . Due to the coronavirus I know you are well aware many of us are not working and can't afford animal services . My cats were poisoned , and suffering we had no choice but to put them to sleep because if we didn't they would suffer until they died . We were charged for blood testing which I understand completely with the first cat , but the second one with the same symptoms and we were charged for the same testing AGAIN. I asked if there were any payment plans or billing they could do and it was a flat out no , if you don't place a deposit your pet can't get anything done for your pet. I spent around 253 bucks, 40 for testing, 90 for the euthanasia, 30 for a group cremation , and I'm not even entirely sure what else I paid for all I know was I paid so much money for a cat I couldn't take home , who didn't live and who was poisoned and there was no sympathy on their part , they were more concerned with getting paid than our cats who suffered from poisoning. My mom came back less than a week later to put our other cat down that was also poisoned and they knew it was the same symptoms and still charged my mom the same amount , great veterinarians right ? They charge entirely too much and have little to no concerns for the animals or their owners. I would not recommend taking your animals there especially if you are on a budget they will charge you a deposit before your pet is even helped and then in the end you could spend a lot more than you anticipated. DO NOT COME HERE . I am in such a financial bind after spending that much money and so is my mom we had no other choice but to go there and get the services done read more

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience with Apricot Vet today. Apparently our appointment was cancelled on us, and although they have my number and tried to call, they failed to leave a voice mail. So we went ahead and showed up at the time that we were suppose to, but had to wait around for them to find time for us. After waiting for 10 minutes out front without hearing from them, i walked back over to the front of the building to see if someone could give us an idea of when we would be seen. I could see 3 people working inside. One was on the phone, one was walking back and forth to the back, and a third was sitting at the desk going through papers. I tried to give them a call, but the phone was busy, so i just had to stand there. Its that whole thing where they look to your left and then to your right... like they are looking outside, but totally ignoring you. I ended up standing out there for a good 5 more minutes until someone was kind enough to finally come to the door and ask if they could help... i get the social distancing, and being busy, but only takes 10 seconds to acknowledge someone. All i needed to know was if i should come back later or if they would be seeing me that afternoon. We just needed a rabies shot. Hopefully this message gets to the Dr's at the Clinica so they can work on teaching the staff how to correctly treat customers... Hopefully read more

I took all 3 of my dogs and litter of 4 puppies here for their exams and shots. They were friendly and I didn't have to wait at all. They were nice enough to only charge me on office visit for all 4 pups and then the shots. It's so convenient because they are right around the corner from where I live and the best of all.... Affordable! They were also kind enough to see my dog along with the puppies to re-bandage his injured ear he had reopened. I will be a longtime customer. read more

I was really liking this place for our brand new German Shepherd. I didn't mind paying the extra money that I knew they were asking for, because I knew it would be worth it in the end. We had the last deworming and rabies shot to get yesterday. Well when I walked in we waited and waited, even though we were there on time. Didn't think anything of it until they brought shots and the deworming out to the waiting room. My pup immediately got scared and started resisting. He is always so good with his shots. I was so mad that the little assistant held my pup down practically in a choke hold. I mentioned to them that maybe he should have gotten his shots on a table since that is what he is used to. The staff at this office are absolutely amazing! I recently moved to town, and they welcomed us with open arms. They treated my girl with the most love, care, and respect when it was her time, and then were there for the adoption of my new little guy.
