I love Discount Tires, the one near where I live is so helpful and quick. So when my tire blew on the highway 8 miles outside of Indio I was so glad there was a discount tire nearby. HOWEVER, this place was not well managed. I called from the side of the road and asked for an appointment. They said it would be an hour wait, so we came right in. When I arrived I explained we were trying to get to the airport in Phoenix for a flight and they said it would be finished in 1.5 hours, we would still be able to make our flight. At the same time I explained that the Discount Tire in Tucson had told us the sensor on the tire that blew was a bad sensor and I asked them to replace it. I paid for two new tires and a new sensor. An hour and 20 mins later they had still not brought our vehicle back into the bay. In that time there were employees just standing around. Two employees fighting over how much time one had spent in the break room. One employee walked back and forth drinking a bottle of water. I think I watched him consume 2-3 bottles of water from the cooler in the waiting area without picking up a tool or doing any work. Two other employees were laughing and messing with an employee's hair (I'm assuming he had recently cut it or something). Nonetheless, those who were working were working hard, but there was a lot of inefficient waste of time. When I finally asked again about my car (now 1:45 into the wait) and reiterated we had a flight to catch they finally got to work and finished it. As I was loading my kids into the car the guy handing me the keys looked at the receipt and said, "Wait? did we put a new sensor in?" The employees who had not really been working replied on no they were all good!!!! I explained that I knew it had a bad sensor and I paid for a new one. At this point we were now going to have to rush to get to the airport on time and the employee said well you will have to come in with me to get a refund (first he suggested they could put in a new sensor if I unloaded my kids). I walked back in, waited in line to get my refund. Sure enough while driving to Phoenix the sensor starts giving bad readings AGAIN!!!! Not only did we miss the flight, but the work also didn't get done. Now I have to go back to the Discount Tire in Tucson to get the sensor replaced. At least they are quick and easy to work with. read more

I am not one to go out of my way to complain, but these guys are bad! I went in to get new tires for my wifes car and the counter service was sub par. It might be a pet peeve of mine but an 18 year old does not need to call me brother. The service team did not have the right tools to take the tires off so they could not finish the job day one. I had to take my car to the dealership who had to remove two stripped lug bolts thanks to the Americas tire guys. So day two I was able to get my car back down and was put at the back of the list of people to get tires on. I figured I had already been threw enough they might as well want to put me at the head of the line. Then to top it all off some young punk decides to call me names and he is working there.......lets just say I will never be going back to this poorly run establishment. read more

I've purchased several sets of tires for various cars and always the same result...excellent merchandise and superb customer service. Store Manager Larry has 30 years experience with the company and Assistant Manager Sergio is an outstanding customer service representative. The Indio America's Tire store is an example of what a lot of businesses used to provide and what a lot of businesses today do NOT provide...customer service!!! Thanks again for 14 years of high-level service and high quality tires!!! P.S. Stephen has the best phone demeanor, courtesy, and respectful attitude that I've experienced in a long time!! You get what you pay for. Went back for my first free rotation and balancing after purchasing a set of 4 tires here. I told them I was concerned about all the weights on one of the wheels that was to be moved to the front, looked like it would hit the calipers. He said that the mechanic would be made aware. They took twice as long as originally quoted and a few miles down the road sure enough loud noises and wheel weights come flying out of my fender and the tire pressure sensor went off. My caliper was shot and somehow they broke the sensor and tried gluing it rather than replacing it, none of this was brought to my attention. They're pricess are fine if you want to purchase tires from them but don't let them touch your vehicle!! read more

I was referred to America's Tire by a coworker after noticing a nail in my tire. Like she informed me, the service was great and best of all there was no cost to patch my tire. Thank goodness it was repairable! Larry assisted me at the service counter and gave me a fair warning that since I did not have an appointment I would have to wait about an hour and 20 minutes for the repair to be made. His time frame was right on the nose. An hour and 20 minutes later another great service provider(did not catch his name) brought my car right up to me and explained what was done. I would definitely recommend making an appointment for quicker service as they do get VERY busy. Thank you for the great and efficient service! read more

I have learned so much about tires from Larry the store manage! I can honestly say they beat Costco and all the other store and are second to none! They honor our Veterans with a Military Discount. Wow! The people working here are impressive. Came in for an air check. Nail was found (thank you for finding this!). My tire was repaired within an hour-at no charge. Most of the counter employees have very bad attitudes. There is no standard pricing. You charges will be adjusted depending on how well the sales person likes you. If your rich and white then find a different store or you will be paying the max for every thing. read more
