    Caesar salad

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a Saturday night dinner at Amore E Amore yesterday. I was able to make a reservation online via open table. We arrived at 6 pm and were immediately taken to our booth next to the bar. The restaurant's theme is currently, Under the Sea, and they didn't miss one detail. Our server was knowledgeable and kind and shared the specials for the evening, the lasagna and a lobster pasta dish and we couldn't resist! I started with a Caesar salad and my friends shared an olive/cheese appetizer. It was so delicious. We chatted while enjoying the music, and looking around at the decor. Once our main dishes arrived, we were so pleased with the presentation and the flavor was on point. I paced myself with the lasagna and had saved a small piece of the complimentary bread because I wanted to leave room for dessert. We all enjoyed our meal and one of the owners came to the table to check in with us about our food. We had the remainder of our meals boxed up and ordered the vanilla gelato, the Nona's lemon pie, and the chocolate lava cake. It was the perfect ending to a great dinner and wonderful experience. We will return again.

Thursday, my partner surprised me with a birthday dinner here, and I'm glad he did... We had such a good time. The food was fresh and flavorful. The drinks were deliciously strong (I love a good old fashion). We experienced quality customer service, and the staff were extremely attentive. To our pleasant surprise, the restaurant was nicely decorated for Valentines Day. Giving the restaurant a very whimsical and romantic vibe. We ordered meatballs as a starter, which pair well with complimentary warm bread. I ordered the Miller, and my love ordered the shrimp scampi with a side of pasta. Literally, everything placed in front of us was delicious. Chef kiss! Don't take my word for it; try it yourself, and thank me later!

This place is absolutely worth the hype!!!! I have been dying to come here for years and I finally got the chance to come for a friends birthday. We had a reservation on a Thursday evening and it was quiet and quaint which was great. The valet parking was also super convenient but there is also tons of street parking! We got a great table for the 6 of us in the front of the restaurant and it felt super intimate which was awesome. This place also takes their theming very seriously which really adds to the fun. The biggest problem I have with this place and the reason it will get a 4 is that I found the service to be extremely lack luster and I am not the only one to complain about that.... Our waiter was really nice but extremely forgetful and at times just left us alone for too long when we needed refills, more bread etc. Either way, on to the dishes. The bread service was delicious and the herby butter it comes with is great! You gotta get the calamari to go with the bread because then the most delicious thing to do is DIP YOUR BREAD IN THE CALAMARI SAUCE!!!! omg that was just so delicious!!!!! We also got the salad with burratta and it was good but the calamari was the stunning appetizer. On top of that, I will say their portion sizes are STUNNING! My pasta plate was massive. I got the Miller's Rhapsody pasta and it was absolutely declious. Creamy and a great sauce truly a fantastic meal! My main complaints with this place will be the service and the fact that the menu doesn't really describe what is in each dish. But food is so tasty I can almost get past those things!

Had a wonderful experience here. Came here for a birthday and wow did we have fun. The ambiance is so cool. Rn it's a circus and feels like a clown just went absolutely insane in decorating it. Our server was absolutely great. He kept us going all night and was 10/10. We did the tasting menu. It was a bit strange. Some things shareable, some not. Ie everyone got a giant thing of fried calamari which felt like way overkill. The food was the only thing I'd take a star off for, but I didn't try the menu food. So that could change. Overall totally worth a visit.

such a fun but quaint italian spot between vahi and inman park. most people know it for their themed decorations. we went in september (halloween decor) and it was so cute. definitely the pricey side for drinks and meal but the expierence is definitely what you pay for. would be a fun date night spot. service was great, no complaints.

I came here for my birthday dinner this year and I am very happy with the overall experience. The entire restaurant was decked out with Christmas decorations. It's a very small cozy vibe, which is the only downside because your tables are very close to the other patrons. The food was delicious. The warm bread and garlic butter was so good. I ordered their specialty cosmopolitan for Christmas, which was super cute and decorated. I also had the lobster fradiavlo with linguine and it was absolutely delicious. My date had the Miller's pasta and it was not as flavorful as we would have liked. Not something I would recommend others ordering. Overall, it was a really nice experience from start to finish. I would definitely recommend this for anyone celebrating a birthday or a special occasion.

This is a very cute place with floor to ceiling decorations. They offer free valet parking, please make sure to tip, or you find street parking. All the servers were very nice and friendly. The place is a little cramped inside but totally worth it, it creates more of an intimate setting for everyone. The pasta is very good, but a tad overpriced in my opinion. I would still go back though! The gnocchi was a little too soft but still good. The veal was delicious, and so was the bread they provide in the beginning!!! The drinks were good but steep in price.

A cozy Italian restaurant? Sign me up. We went in for a dinner on a Thursday night and it was pretty packed. There is valet parking for this location right next to it. We were started off with some fresh bread and garlic butter which I absolutely loved. Devoured. We ended up ordering a chicken Parm and eggplant Parm for entrees. I would say they were pretty up par. The flavor was there, although I think it could have been a bit more seasoned. Overall better than most Italian spots I have had. We ended up getting Tiramisu for dessert. It was pretty disappointing. The cherries were a bit confusing and overall the dish lacked the coffee flavor. Overall I would recommend.

Took my friend here for her birthday back in March. It was recommended to us by a coworker and neither of us knew what to expect outside of Italian cuisine. First and foremost, the decoration, is absolutely one of kind. They gave us birthday hats because we were celebrating and birthday and at some point at the end of the night I remember their being singing --amongst the entire restaurant lol. Oh, and the food, was absolutely delicious. I had the lasagna and it was sooo cheesy and good I pretty much ate the whole thing in setting.

    Crazy expensive prices

This place is crazy expensive for what you get - Olive Garden quality food. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler in our group to celebrate a birthday. Our table was in the far back of the restaurant, which as other reviewers have correctly noted, is brighter and not as "themed" as the front of the restaurant. The high chair came with a melted jolly rancher stuck in the middle of the seat. Perhaps this foreshadowed the remainder of the meal. The service here was incredibly disappointing. We asked our server, Ana C, if the toddler needed to order their own adult entree or if there were kids menus available (the restaurant's policy is that no sharing is allowed). Ana told us that there was not a kids menu, and that they only served beverages in glassware. Given the "under the sea" theming, with whimsical cut outs hanging from the ceiling that a kindergarten teacher would hang on a bulletin board, we were surprised that a kids cup wasn't an option. Oh well. We ordered the toddler a plain lemonade, which ended up being $10 (as seen on the receipt included). We had no idea there was a lemonade mocktail on the menu, but instead of Ana offering this to us, we received a standard (probably Minute Maid) glass of lemonade with a bendy straw for $10. Knowing it would cost that much, we might have been open to it. Instead, we were deceived. It took asking her twice for the lemonade to finally arrive to the table. No refills either. To our surprise, Ana then brought out a kids menu! The kids menu was prix fixed and was $20. Instead, we ordered the toddler a side of fettuccine alfredo, at Ana's suggestion, because that was more affordable. As seen on the receipt, a side of fettuccine alfredo costs $18. The portion size was hardly a salad plate. There was no flavor to be had. This was evident in several entrees. The Miller's Rhapsody was described as having a "lasagne sauce" - there was no meat in the sauce at all. The filet had no seasoning. The highlight of the meal was the bread service. Somehow, that was complimentary. We enjoy supporting local businesses and don't mind paying extra for quality food, service and ambiance. This place was a disappointment to say the least. Indeed, this place looks great on Instagram. The restaurant's marketing team certainly hit it out of the park there. However, this place has mediocre food, for comically, astronomically high prices. Save yourself some money and go to Olive Garden. Or spend the same amount and go to La Grotta and have a much better meal. At least at Olive Garden, you can enjoy your mediocre microwaved flavorless pasta without feeling like you got scammed. When you're at Amore E Amore, you are NOT family!!! TLDR: Overpriced (seriously) and under-seasoned food, underwhelming service. Save your money and appetite for somewhere else!

I went over Thanksgiving weekend with a group of girlfriends. It was a fun experience like everyone else has said. The Christmas decorations were very cute and you can tell they put a lot of effort and time in decorating the restaurant from the outside all the way to back of the restaurant. However, I did not really enjoy my food and I was a little disappointed as I love Italian food. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo but the pasta was overcooked so it was soft and mushy. Maybe it was accidental and never happens, but I was let down. The bread and butter that came before the meals were delicious!! I wish I could had taken those home. It was kinda weird that it wasn't served with a plate so I was cutting the bread on the table The service was good but I felt a little rushed. It was fun for the Christmas decorations but felt it was overpriced.

What a wonderful experience! This has truly been one of the better restaurants I have been to in Atlanta and was strongly recommended to anybody! The nondescript storefront would never let you guess that you would be walking into Alice's Wonderland behind the doors. They currently have a circus thing ongoing and right from the entrance you're totally immersed in that experience. The party hats, the party flavor is on the drinks, the menu they all incorporate the circus theme. They had a magician for the night who performed fun tricks. The highlight, however remains the impeccable service and the meal itself. The service was prompt with no delays in an easy flow. All of the servers were amazing! The warm bread with table butter is such a delightful way to start the meal. For our appetizers we ordered fried calamari, meatballs and lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was divine! Would definitely recommend trying it. For dinner we got the Caesar salad, linguine with shrimp, Miller pasta, and steak. Everything was delicious! I would be hard pressed to choose a favorite but I think the steak one by a small margin. The dessert we tried the lemon sorbet, crème brûlée, and lava cake. The crème brûlée stole that round! Overall: a fantastic dining experience. Will definitely come back!

We did arrive here a bit early for our reservation but were seated right next to the open kitchen, so it felt quite crowded and cramped. It's a very, very small restaurant and it was freezing where we sat because we were under the vents. Our server, Mary Catherine, was a treat and she took good care of us. She took our drink orders, though I didn't drink tonight. For appetizers, we started with the calamari and stuffed clams. They also offered complementary bread and olive oil basket that was served warm, yum! Our food orders came out pretty fast actually. The calamari was not your typical fried calamari - it was delicious and loved the mix of raw onions in it for that fresh bite. I'm not a fan of clams so I didn't try this, but heard it was just breading and can't really taste the clam taste. For my entree, I ordered the spaghetti pomodoro with meatballs. I had been dreaming about this since making the reservations and it did not disappoint. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was wonderful. I did think the meatballs were a tad too salty for my taste and I'm glad I opted out of the freshly grated parm because I feel like that would have made everything saltier. After our meal, they brought out free dessert for the birthday celebrants. Nothing but raves were said after our dinner here and we're definitely looking forward to coming back here again.

However we were given continuous updates on when the table would be ready, they apologized, and they were very understanding. Considering we were a large party in an intimate space, we understood and only waited about 20 minutes before the table was ready. I'm so glad that I read the reviews in advance about parking, but I still wasn't prepared for what we saw. Surprisingly, there were 2 or 3 open spots when we visited around 7pm. We had reservations and were quickly seated after being greeted. The restaurant itself was quite intimate, offering only a few tables that were laid out in a manner that had us all quite close. But it worked! Since we had our son with us, they already had a high chair ready for us but he slept through the entire dinner, which also shows how peaceful it actually was in there. I started with a glass of chianti and it paired perfectly with the complimentary starter bread. That focaccia was so fresh! The crust had a great crunch but it was still soft and fluffy inside. We went with the meatball appetizer special which included 4-5 meatballs covered in marinara, fresh tomatoes and burrata. They were delicious, although the tomatoes being cold was a bit of a surprise. For dinner, I went for the chicken piccata and my partner opted for the chicken marsala. Both were great and packed with flavor. Such an unassuming place with tons of flavor waiting inside - perfect for date night or just a nice Italian dinner!

For starters, we shared the eggplant balls (a must get here!) and the bread service. The eggplant balls were definitely shareable and were probably our favorite thing we ate. The bread service you could probably skip - we wish it was served with vinegar instead of just oil and an olive tapenade. For entrees, I ordered one of the dinner specials, grilled branzino served with broccolini and potatoes. My husband ordered the ravioli. I really enjoyed the branzino, it was tender and the skin was cooked crispy. I loved that the broccolini was charred enough, but wish the potatoes were cooked a bit more. The capers added the needed saltiness to the dish, though I wish this was served with lemon or something to balance out the flavors. My husband enjoyed his ravioli but found it too heavy with the cream sauce. We thought this was a decent place for dinner, but nothing really stood out besides the eggplant balls.

The focaccia was served with honey butter and was served warm. My husband and I shared the Margherita Royale. The dough itself had a nice chew and loved the charred bits on the crust. We also shared the charred broccoli, but was nothing to write home about - personally, would not recommend. I ordered an affogato as my dessert. I wasn't expecting the espresso and ice cream to be served separately. I just took sips of the espresso while taking spoonfuls of ice cream - this was easily shared. Cheesy garlic bread is a must. Started with that and then had spicy vodka rigatoni with house made rigatoni. Flawless execution on both. I'll sleep well after that meal!

Something has completely changed about this spot. It used to be one of my favorites, a nice moderately priced sit-down Italian restaurant tucked away in downtown Decatur. Maybe they've grown too big for their britches as we southerners say, but this most recent visit was likely my last. Staff attitudes were terrible, the execution of the food was a joke. My siblings and I had hyped this restaurant up to our mom and thought she would enjoyed being wined and dined. We arrived admittedly about 10 minutes after our reservation time (thanks to the city of Decatur's hostile parking policies), after attempting to call the restaurant and let them know we were circling the building. I say attempting because the number rings straight to an AI voice that doesn't allow you to speak once it asks you a question. I even tried sending messages through the OpenTable app. Either way, the restaurant claims you have a 15 minute grace period. Once we finally walked inside, my sister leaned over and whispered that their posted food inspection score was a low B. We exchanged glances but figured maybe they were inspected on an off day. The host (once she finally stopped avoiding eye contact with us) spontaneously let us know that since we weren't on time, we would be "getting a table in the back by the kitchen". What an odd policy to announce to your patrons that you're going to be punishing them with bad seating. The table was indeed by the kitchen but given how many tables this restaurant has tried to cram into the dining room, none of them are spectacular. I looked around and saw folks at tables bumping into the ones next to them, that's how tightly everyone is seated. Our server was friendly enough, and was able to recommend some good dishes. Word to the wise, while they bring bread to the table, it's one half-slice per person. We learned the hard way (because our server never mentioned it) that asking for more bread (the exact same amount as before mind you) is $7. You could buy a freshly baked loaf for that price. The actual food was fine, not bad but nothing like we've had in the past. It arrived fairly quickly. Where the dinner continued nosediving was when my sister, after seeing that we all had ordered small side dishes of pasta, decided she'd like to order some as well. By small side dish, I mean a fistful in a soup cup. I add that detail because when she asked the server, the server stated it would be AT LEAST a 20 minute wait. We asked her to repeat herself because surely we heard that wrong, right? 20 minutes for spaghetti?! She left for a few minutes, then came back and said her manager confirmed that even if she asked the kitchen to rush it, the soonest would be 18 minutes. You see a pattern here right? This restaurant seems like they relish letting their customers know who's in charge...and here's a hint reader, it's not you. Where the evening actually became appalling was a result of our closeness to the kitchen. They have a sous chef working dining room-adjacent doing the final dish prep before the food is picked up by the runners. I know kitchens usually don't utilize gloves (the whole, hands can be frequently washed but the same pair of gloves will touch multiple surfaces thing). However this gentleman unabashedly practiced some of the worst cross contamination practices I've ever seen. He'd grabbed fistfuls of Parmesan cheese to garnish a plate, then reach in his pocket for his phone. Then he'd arrange leaves of lettuce for salad, then TOUCH HIS HAIR. We watched him on two occasions have, either family friends or familiar patrons, walk up to him excitedly and he'd hug them and shake their hands and pat their shoulders, and once done would immediately grab forks and knives and spoons by their business ends, squeeze lemons, slice bread, fist the cheese container....absolutely disgusting and completely explains the health inspection score. If anything it should have been lower. We were only 5 feet away from the guy and he made eye contact with us several times so it's not like he was embarrassed. A long haired woman came over a few times and did the same as him, though she did put black gloves on once or twice. To top it off, once we received the check was we saw plenty of upcharges and surcharges that our server neglected to tell us she would be adding, so her tip reflected her oversight. To wrap it up, not only is the service and food not worth the price, but this place is actually unhygienic. Unless they change their practices, you're eating here at your own risk. Wish Yelp was like IG and I could @ the health department....
