a display case filled with different types of food

Straightforward NYC deli. No frills, but great selection of drinks and lunch/dinner items. Got the pastrami sandwich for 6.95, comes with free pickle, chips and a soda. Great value, can't complain. Service was quick; I'll definitely be back again. Service is as expected, no problems here either.

Horrible service and horrible food. Went in at 2:15am and asked for a chicken quesadilla. Got cold chicken on a cold tortilla and after spending $11 and asking to at least warm up and told "they're busy" Rude services, terrible food. Save your money and eat the garbage outside

Terrible, terrible! Ordered a Philly cheesesteak and basically received a piece of bread and cheese. See image... Called and said I was disappointed and was told my sub looks like this because I opted out of adding on peppers and onions. Gimme a break!

Great local place for a good, quick but relaxing breakfast or lunch. Good omelettes or egg, meat, and potato plates. Very friendly staff.

Place has gone down hill. Bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich cost $6- and was pretty lousy. Food not as fresh as it once was. Skip this place.

It's definitely a convenient spot no matter the time of day. The menu has a little bit of everything such as pastries, coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads, soups and even gluten free options. They also serve beer and wine, which I wasn't expecting. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice. The setup is mostly DIY since you throw away your own garbage and etc. But they do bring your food and drinks out to you. They also have a restroom for customers and a self serve tap water station with glasses, which I appreciated. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. It was alright, but I do think it could've used a little more flavor or seasoning.

The deluxe pho had all the meat fixings with homemade beef meatballs, thinly sliced sirloin, and pull apart brisket. The broth was very unique and flavorful, abit on the "dirtier" side (less clear but more umami flavor) sprinkled with kick of black pepper. Honestly I think it could compete with many broths. The noodles and toppings were standard. Overall perfect soup for a chilly rainy day. I only had some bites of the chicken pho but it tasted clean and soothing. The wings in their "pho" sauce were crispy but a little on the saltier side. Almost reminiscent of Korean fried chicken. Service: It was decent. Ambiance: Generally modern decor. Narrow with only about 5-6 tables of seating, so it can fill up fast. We had to wait about 10 min for a table to open up so we could get seated. One thing I found clever was the modular design of the tables that can come together to fit a slightly bigger party. Very unique!

Small space inside but you don't need much space to make bussin sandwiches. Walking or public transportation is preferred. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

Someone order a Hot Italian? Here I am…read more The legendary Florentine sandwich shop achieved global fame by earning some of the highest praise in food journalism for its massive, fresh-baked schiacciata sandwiches. Google their name and "best" and get hundreds of hits, but the majors who crowned them "best sandwich" title include Saveur Magazine, the big one touted by the family; Eater NY, ranking La Paradiso the most elite Italian sandwich outside of Italy; Las Vegas Weekly, who crowned them "Home of the world's best sandwiches"; TripAdvisor, for whom the Italian original is the most reviewed eatery with a near perfect rating; and The Infatuation NYC guides who promise the execution of the crispy, airy schiacciata bread completely justifies the hype. All 17 options looked amazing, so I spoke to a regular in line, telling her I couldn't decide between "La Paradiso", the most praised (even though she informed me "mortadella is just bolonie" or the Hot Italian, which was more my style. So, I did what any gluttonous American would do and I got both. And a Diet Coke, of course. La Paradiso has thinly sliced bolonie for a savory base, with creamy shredded stacciatella cheese, with sweet but earthy pistachio cream, and a sprinkle of toasted pistachio for texture (that I didn't detect). It was good, but I will likely fuggedaboutit. The Hot Italian had thin, lean turkey, spicy and smoky spreadable Calabrian pork sausage, a balancing provolone, calabrian chili honey, and peppery arugula (that they claim adds crunch that I didn't detect). Were they life-changing? No. But I rank Paradiso a 8.8 and Hot Italian a 10. And because everyone is hard-working and everything is so freshly prepared and cut, it's a class act. They should seriously make a sign that says, "Can't decide? Get two!" and then give me free sandwiches on my yearly trips for the idea.

The babka was definitely a standout. The bread itself was good, and the filling was great. I'd eat that again and again and again. Just on that, this place makes me want to return.
