    Paninis

I needed to buy lunch and dinner for the plane, and this place was closer than Zabar's. I was under time constraints. My mother and I had gotten sandwiches here before, and they were decent, although the bread was extremely bland. I decided on two paninis, knowing that I would likely only eat half of each, and have the rest the next day. The Cuban panini was VERY good. Then, a few hours later, I tried the Turkey Club panini. ACK! THE BACON WAS BASICALLY UNCOOKED!!!! AND EXTREMELY GRISTLY. Seriously, what the hell? This could be dangerous. The panini was therefore inedible at that point. I had to discreetly spit out the bite I'd taken. Ewwww! This was a SHOCKER. If I return here, I will most definitely avoid ANYTHING with bacon. This was extremely disappointing, as I very rarely eat bacon. It's an unhealthy treat. Service was meh at first. I stood in front of the counter and was ignored. I finally went to the register and asked how to order. The cashier said, "At the counter." I said, "Well, they're not paying attention." Walked back, and THIS TIME, someone asked what I wanted. Pffft. Cashier was friendly, though. Prices are very reasonable. Huge selection of sandwiches, wraps, paninis, etc. They have groceries, too. It's not a huge place. I would definitely get the Cuban panini again. But NOT the turkey club. Blech.

Amsterdam Market was at the right place at my coffee time! I was greeted with a "Can I help the next customer". I ordered my small black coffee and requested she fill it up. She smiled while looking at me as if I had two heads. If she didn't hear or understand she should have told me. Naturally it wasn't filled up to my satisfaction. There's no seating so I sat at the pizza place next door. They have nice outdoor seating. It was closed so I figured I was safe! Will I return for coffee maybe if I lived nearby. The coffee is good but the quantity was lacking!

Relatively nice and wide selection of products. I went there for a quick sandwich as it was a relatively cheaper and quicker option compared to other spots in the area.

One of the things missing in this area was a convience store/deli until Amsterdam Marketplace opened up after the old one was closed. Not much to say other than it's got a decent selection of items and just nice to have in the neighborhood

I went to this place yesterday with my boyfriend and had a terrible experience. We went to get sandwiches and when I looked at the menu, it said for a sandwich, chips, and pickle it was approximately $8.95, but the guy making the sandwiches said they were out of chips even though there were chips right in front of us. So my boyfriend asked if we could have those chips with the sandwich instead and the cashier said no. Then the cashier proceeded to say that the chips weren't included in the price - even though it said they were included on the menu - and that the sandwich itself was actually a dollar more than what was listed on the menu. He went to go ring up the sandwiches and I complained because the price was more than what was listed on the menu AND we didn't get the chips that was included. And the cashier points to a sign that says prices are up because of inflation. What a slap in the face to your customers. So since inflation is up, you charge more than what is listed on your menu? We decided not to get our sandwiches and left because of the false advertisement and poor customer service. To make it even worst, the cashier tried screaming at us as we left. Will not be returning. Edit to say this - the owner/staff member at this store clearly doesn't value his customers. Multiple customers, including myself, have complained about the poor customer service here and the hostile attitude of Adam, yet instead of taking his customers concerns seriously, he laughs at their concerns. If you look below, you'll see that he found my comment funny . What a joke. Good luck keeping customers and growing your business in a time where many businesses are closing due to the pandemic .

Small space inside but you don't need much space to make bussin sandwiches. Walking or public transportation is preferred. THE BLACK AND WHITE: I came here after a long day doing booth duty at a summit and was starving from not eating the entire day. Fortunatley the place was pretty quiet since it was 2pm and I got my orders in. For sandwiches, I ended up getting the Favolosa and the Italiana. The favolosa had a delicious artichoke cream and salami that was a banger. The italiana had all your great italian cured meats as well as a truffle cream sauce that made the umami bomb even more umami. So good! THE FINAL BAMBOO: The two sandwiches were around $45, a little pricier on the sandwich side but man are they delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm in NYC.

The La Paradiso sandwich with mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachios...God's creation!!So when I heard they were coming to NYC, I was SO excited. Okay... it was good, but it was not Italy good. My focaccia didn't taste as fresh, and my sandwich felt rushed;like it wasn't made with love. It still tasted good, but it was definitely not the same magical experience as that first bite I had in Rome. The lemon drink definitely get it. Maybe I'm just spoiled because I had the original in Italy, but I wanted to love it more!

I'm so glad Broad Nosh Bagels & Deli popped up in my search, as it was exactly what I was looking to enjoy. A couple of us trekked the few blocks to find the storefront. Inside it was PACKED, and several groups and lines snaked around the dividers. But the line moved quickly between customers picking up to-go meals and placing orders at the counters. The display cases are beautiful and feature so many different kinds of cream cheese. (Who knew you could make a whole vat of Biscoff?) They also had many types of smoked fish and toppings for customers filing through. Once you order food, you take your ticket to the register where you can add any drinks. This also went fairly quickly. Food and drink order numbers were called out and checked with the receipts, although they called out a set of orders for several minutes and no one came to pick them up. There are a few tables there, but since customers wait to grab drinks and food near the front, the couple tables at the front were basically for crowd control. I definitely wouldn't try to eat there unless I happened to be going at a quieter time. I got the bagel with smoked salmon, and it was exactly what I had been craving. Their bagels are a quarter pound each, so you might even get two meals out of it if you have a fridge for storage. But even as good as the bagel was, the hot chai latte with oat milk was the star for me. It was so incredibly layered for flavor and fragrant, just lightly sweet. I would go out of my way on a trip to NYC just to get one of these for breakfast! We all really enjoyed our food, and I will definitely return.
