They have lots of private events which are walled off with weird partitions. And they sometimes (according to others I overheard) completely close down for private parties. I don't ask for much. I require very little attention. I grossly over tip. And, yet still I feel very unwelcome in this restaurant that I have frequented several times. I don't get it. The other customers were very nice to me, but the staff seemed annoyed by my presence. It's bizarre. Anyway, the food alone earns them a top rating. Pro tip: Do NOT sit at the bar. (suggestion: That's not a great opening line.) "Do you want to go ahead and order your food?" (To which we said no.) He seemed put out from the get-go. Finally, I had to tell him directly, "We're not in a rush, even though you are." He's probably late 20s, dark hair, a beard, and overall a really poor performer. If he doesn't like his job, he should go do something else, though I doubt he's qualified to do much other than be on welfare. We bought four entrées, an appetizer, and two rounds of drinks. We probably would've bought more but for this really poor waiter. This is a good restaurant with very good food and a good concept. You (owner/manager) need to take much more care on the people side. It's hard to hire good talent these days but you need to do better than this. Good luck. But you need to realize there are way too many choices out there. When you sit down, they bring each of the four course out in full to your table and give you time to enjoy each plate. The first course was a simple course of a light cheese dumpling soup and warm fresh bread with a variety of spreads. We found this course an excellent introduction and the soup was exceptionally executed. The second course was a course of appetizers. This is the course we liked the best, the large number of small plates really made the meal feel lavish and each dish was high quality and made with care. I loved the grilled cheese and the spiced apple sauce served with the chicken was delicious. The third course was the entree course, consisting of a number of grilled steaks, poultry, and pasta dishes. The chicken was a bit salty for my tastes but the pasta and the steaks were competently prepared. Lastly, the fourth course was a delightful dessert consisting of flan, chocolate mousse, and a passion fruit mousse. The passion fruit mousse was especially good, but I think each of the desserts worked well to balance each other out. I would like to see dessert with some more variety of texture. The service was perfect, our waiters came around at just the right times and took care to tell us about the dishes on offer. I was equally impressed with the atmosphere. Overall, the dinner price is a little steep, but I think it is well worth it. We will certainly be returning!

All 3 were perfect, and we were told by I presume the manager to focus on the passion fruit one, which was stellar. If I returned, I'd be interested in trying a fun drink. They have several non alcoholic options that caught my eye. We were very well waited on, and never were left wanting or waiting. It isn't vegan but I find great options when we split plates. The only reason I dropped my rating from 5 to 4 stars is that even in 100 degree weather they keep a huge service window open so the bar is accessible both inside and outside. This practice is hugely irresponsible to the environment, to the Texas power grid and residents, and to those of us paying our bill here knowing we are footing that bill.
