I stood there waiting for my order and he told me just a moment, someone else came in behind me and asked for their order he goes to the back and grabs that gentleman's order but pulls out my order from a hot bag sitting on the seat in the store. Ate here for the first time today. I placed an order for pickup but upon arrival they discovered that they had given my order away to someone else. I sat for about 35 minutes for my order to be remade. When it came out we discovered I had ordered the wrong dish. I had ordered Chicken Tikka instead of Chicken Tikka Masala. ‍ They were gracious and understanding and swapped my dish. I got home hoping that the food was as good as the reviews stated. And it WAS! Chicken Tikka Masala was good. could have been a tad more flavorful but was still tasty. the lamb simosas were DELISH! Cheese naan was also super fluffy and delicious. Let's start with the food, I think we ordered everything (and everything was good - my favorite was the lamb curry, oh MAN that was crazy good). We're very picky and specific about our Indian food and I have to say we were extremely overjoyed when we dined the first time here. They truly understand what spicy means as we ask them to give it to us Indian spice style, and they always deliver the goods. I ordered a couple meals from here this past weekend and it was good, but not GREAT. Every Indian food spot varies depending on how the food is prepared, quality & cuts of meats, ingredients & spices etc. but while the Chicken Makhani was good, it didn't pack a punch and lacked that over the top flavor I was seeking. Clarifying, for most people the food experience would be great - but I am admittedly picky and have a developed palette specifically tuned for incredible Indian food over the years. If that were not the case, I would rate this place a five-star food experience but, I know better. Don't let that deter you though from making up your own mind though. I came here for the second time and pretty much everything is fantastic. The garlic naan had so much garlic that it was gone within minutes and I had to order more. My kids went crazy over the fish tandoori and my 6yr old asked me how they made it so tasty. I would definitely recommend this place if you are craving some good Indian curry or tandoori. This restaurant used to be really good. Like realllyyyyy good and this time around it was a horrible experience. We placed a phone order and I confirmed the Yelp 15% with them. I had my cousin pick up the food and they gave her shit for the 15% and claimed you need to use their card for the discount only. In the end he eventually gave the 15% but when she got home part of our order was missing. We live a bit far so they did refund the missing items. The red chutney that goes with the samosas tasted old. It tasted like it wasn't stored properly. All of the food we got (chicken and vegetable items) the curry was watered down. The aloo gobi was also watery for whatever reason. Our somosas were over cooked and really dark brown and crispy. One of my chicken dishes was also over cooked and the chicken was super hard. Ultimately, I'm giving this location 1 star due to the bad customer service, missing items, and the poor quality of the food. Indian food shouldn't be watery. read more

Pains me to say it because it's one of my spots for Indian cuisine but when I ordered today I got food poisoning about an hour after. Work bro and I were on a lunch adventure and he saw this restaurant. It has been couple of years since I had Indian food so I was all in on this. The menu was pretty big and required a lot of reading, then I realized there was a section for lunch special. Woohoo! Lunch special it was. I knew I wanted lamb but I didn't know which style I wanted it to cook with, so I asked the server for recommendations and he actually suggested lamb with potatoes and that wasn't even on the menu. Wooooooo, secret menu... First we got some complimentary cracker to eat with 3 different sauces. The cracker was already seasoned and crispy. I liked it on its own but the sauces enriched the flavor. Followed with lentil soup. Even though there was no meat in the soup, it was flavorful with an earthy taste. The lamb and potatoes were DELICIOUS! The lamb was well cooked and the curry delivered a good punch. Lunch special came with either rice or naan bread. I got both because work bro was on some kind of diet that didn't allow him to eat carbs. Yay for me. For the sake of curry, it really should be consumed with rice. However, that buttery tasting naan bread was so good I didn't miss rice at all. Overall I liked this place. The food was good, but the service was a little awkward. The server kept coming to the table and trying to take the plates while we had food on it. The price was high for Indian food, even with lunch special. The food here is as good as it gets! The spices, herbs, meat and vegetables are always fresh and tasty and with that being said, we've never come on a day when the food has been subpar. They have really good lunch specials, price wise, and if your new to the Indian food game and want to just try it out first; My advice would be to go with an assorted appetizer so you have the opportunity to try a little bit of everything. Usually we order the "for 2" special ($45.95) which comes with an assorted appetizer, 1/2 chicken tandori, choice of fish or lamb and vegetables, rice, naan bread (get the garlic naan bread for $2 extra), dessert and tea or coffee. The portions are pretty big and we usually end up taking a significant amount of food home to eat the next day. Update: the manager called me and yelled at me for giving them a bad review, and then hung up on me. Shocking behavior. ----------- I'm so very disappointed. I've been a loyal customer for over 15 years, and got to know the first manager, Zohir very well. Another manager took over and the service continued to be solid. The food was always good, and I have tipped 25% consistently. Since a new manager is sometimes in charge at night and/or on the weekends, the restaurant has become disorganized and overall, disappointing. These are trying times for everyone, especially restaurants, and I give slack since it's extra stressful. However, service is part of the overall experience and as consistently as Anarbagh had been good, it has now become consistently poor. The last four times I've ordered, there has been either a mistake, late delivery, or order issue. They say, first time is their fault and second time is my fault. Well, this four time is definitely my fault because I keep coming back even though I'm now consistently disappointed. I ordered my food via Yelp/GrubHub. There was going to be an hour wait. No problem. It's Wednesday night and there are probably a lot of orders in queue. Two hours go by. I check the front door in case I didn't hear the ring, the garage door in case they left it there. I call the restaurant. They LAUGH and say they were busy and ask me to hold while they speak to the manager. I can hear them speak to the dreaded new female manager. They come back on and tell me that they can give me a 15% discount. This is a joke. There will be no fifth time. I'm giving them two stars because I do like their food but I like myself more and there are too many other good Indian restaurants in the valley to choose from, and I don't hate myself enough to go there again. read more
