    Runny eggs

Visited Dec 13th. Restaurant was about half capacity. Ordered Greek yogurt, took about 15 minutes. Asked if pastries were available, server mentioned he'd check. Ten minutes later, we asked again since we were interested, same answer. A few minutes later, advised two options. 15 mins for a status update on pastries? Empty water glasses on table were never filled. No question if we'd like water, just empty glasses. Ordered coffee, no offer to refill, flagged down server for a refill. Ordered $25 Farmers Breakfast (two eggs, sausage, potatoes, toast), specified eggs cooked medium, (mentioned it twice), the eggs were really under cooked watery goo (photo attached). Breakfast potatoes seemed like they were held under heat lamp (dried out). Service wasn't warm or welcoming, really less than stellar. No smile, no basic engagement. It's not the first time our experience with this server was disappointing. As a Globalist, I select this Hyatt due in part to the breakfast experience. Sad to say it once again wasn't as enjoyable as in the year's past. 20% gratuity automatically included in the bill, plus 5% surcharge. When we hear another couple mentioning the service, or lack thereof, it confirms our experience isn't unique. It's convenient if you're staying at Andaz, breakfast is complimentary if you're a Globalist, fireplace is nice, chairs are comfortable. Polishing up the service and food prep will bring this back to a 4 or 5 star experience.

We had breakfast here twice during our stay at the Andaz Napa. Excellent breakfast food and service. Generous portions so consider sharing. The Belgium Waffles was absolutely dreamy. Crisp, chewy , yeasty and warm waffles with raspberry jam and house made whipped cream was a perfect way to start the day. The Steak and Eggs also stood out. Steak cooked to a perfect medium rare with sunny side eggs that looked like they came straight out of a food magazine, were delicious! The chimichurri sauce added a nice pungent flavor to the steak. The dish came with a really big portion of fingerling potatoes. The room itself was beautifully decorated. Dark wood and a fireplace gave it an understated elegance. Excellent service. Happy Eating!!

Stayed a few nights at the Andaz Napa- ate at Andaz Farmers Table for breakfast several times. The food is always prepared well, delicious and fresh. Our server Vilma was wonderful- super nice and friendly, checked in us. Loved the ambiance of the dining area. We also did trivia there at night- it was super fun!

Wrong charge for salmon, extra service charges and 5% surcharge. Not worth it.

I was really excited for this restaurant upon reviewing the menu and photos before coming in considering their variety in bfast items. Unfortunately my experience here was nearly not up to par with what I was expecting, and mainly from the customer service side. The ambiance was pleasant and had a farm side style which I liked. However, after I was sat, I almost never saw my waiter or other hostesses. Water had to be asked for, no one stopped by to provide creamer/sugar for my coffee, and after I placed my order, no one felt the need to stop by despite waiting at least 45 minutes for my food. After this time, I tried to make eye contact with my waiter Miguel but it was very obvious that he was trying to avoid stopping by our table. I had to actively stop him to ask for the progress of our meal, at which he finally put in the order. We had the avocado toast and lox bagel, which I thought was good. the portions were reasonable so that was the benefit of this experience . However, I could not understand how these two bfast items which didn't require any cooking took about an hour to receive. Again, after dropping off the items, I had to ask for more waters as all our glasses were empty for the whole hour. I was especially disappointed after reviewing our bill. From the menu prices last year, there had been a price increase to every item. However, there was still a 5% up charge to the bill to "account for minimum wage charges" and then a generous auto gratuity which makes sense as to why Miguel did not seem to care for his service with us. On top of that, tax. And a topping to it all was the attempt to mis-charge us for our salmon. No apologies from Miguel and still no sense of urgency to get a corrected receipt back to us. Save your money if you are planning on having a nice bfast here unless you have 2 whole hours to spare. There are several other options out there in downtown Napa. Quite disappointed and I hope management can pay better attention to the efforts provided by the waiters. Miguel really put a damper on our experience here.

    French Toast!! Waaaaaaay too thick!!

The breakfast is mediocre now. It use to be really good. It's seems like they have changed a lot and went away from some menu items that were winners. They no longer have the Model Bakery breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich & their famous English muffins. They also use to have these thick chicken apple sausage that were like nothing I had ever had before. They were the best I had ever had. And I looked forward to returning and having them again. To only find out, on my latest stay, that they no longer served them. They also serve this french toast that is ridiculously too thick. The thickness of the bread just doesn't make sense. Makes the dish really bready and takes away from the concept of French toast. You can't enjoy the flavor of the French toast because the bread is so thick. I'm really confused as to why a cook/chef would serve this dish in this way. Funny thing, after we had ordered our dish, we saw what looked like someone returning the French Toast dish. Which we ended up doing the same after trying it ourselves. Stick with the Andaz breakfast of eggs, bacon or sausage and toast. It's simple, but it doesn't disappoint. Kinda hard to ruin that!! ‍

We had breakfast here daily while staying at Andaz. The food was mostly good, but a bit inconsistent. We ordered the green smoothie every day and it tasted different every day. The Model Bakery breakfast sandwich was supposed to come on their famous English muffin, but it came with different bread the first time we ordered it. The avocado toast was the best thing I tried. Nothing was bad. Service was friendly, and a bit frantic, as they appear to be short staffed. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and an appreciated World of Hyatt Globalist benefit.

What a great breakfast spot at the hotel! Their sandwich was fantastic. The ingredients were so fresh too. The service was quick and easy. I was in and out. It is definitely a classy but casual place. Why wouldn't you go here if you're staying at the hotel?

Bomb hotel breakfast This breakfast is bomb. Somehow this was included in our stay. We tried their farmers platter, breakfast burrito, salmon bagel, omelette, fruit platter, berry smoothie, and granola. One theme was in common - made to order, fresh, and delicious. Try it!

I ordered takeout while I was staying at the hotel. Pretty quick takeout experience (just had to walk up to the hotel bar). Ordered the Model Bakery Breakfast Sandwich (fried egg, Swiss cheese, chicken apple sausage). Came with a side of potatoes. Sandwich was excellent. Would've preferred scrambled eggs. Potatoes tasted good, but not great. Think they were fried. Would come back, but it is a little expensive at $18.

Highly Recommend! Love the design -- beautiful windows on back wall facing a wall of bamboo outside. Service was attentive and breakfast was great! Ordered the Chipotle eggs Benedict and it was perfect!

Great restaurant located inside the Andaz Napa hotel. It was packed on 4th of July for breakfast but our waitress was super attentive and was calm under pressure. The coffee comes a local coffee company and was super smooth. The breakfast sandwich has the "bread" from the local (and quite famous) Model bakery. Cute rustic feel to the restaurant.

Located in our hotel, we can't beat the convenience of this spot. We have been there three times and two of the three have been great. The second day the French toast came out looking like it had been left on a bit too long. My omelette was also a bit overcooked so I'm guessing the chef that day just let the grill get a little too hot to handle. Two of the servers have been very friendly and attentive and paying to us when we need water, coffee refills. The other server has been a little disappointing in this area. The quiche is amazing and our new go to! I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

This is the avocado toast...notice the avocado puree...

Very bad food experience, ordered the avocado toast on gluten free bread. Menu stated "smashed avocado"...it was a puree and each slice had barely a smear on it. For $22 there should be a generous amount of avocado...that's the whole point of it. About 30 minutes after eating I was violently ill. Bread either wasn't gluten free (I have celiac and my reaction is swift and fierce) OR I have food poisoning. My recommendation- steer clear. So many great places to eat in Napa, no need to roll the dice with this place.

You get a menu and order at the counter, and despite the long line, that gave us enough time to pick what we wanted to eat. Once we got the counter, there were fresh bakery donuts, and pastry options so got of course adding a sweet treat to share. They give you an order number, and you then go find a table and they will bring you it. If you ordered a drink after the check out counter you can grab your drink. Here's what we ordered for the 3 of us which was plenty! Superfood bowl $15 (5/5) This was super refreshing. The mix of the cut up, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nuts, coconut flakes, chia, and dried fruits over yogurt and passionfruit honey. I mean that tasted SUPER and wayyy delicious medley together. Pork Belly Loco Moco $22 (5/5) OMG get this! And don't forget to upgrade to garlic rice ($2 more) and add you can add avocado ($4 if you want lil pricey butttt just do it since you are trying to balance out the healthy in this dish). Braised soft pork belly pieces, with 2 runny eggs and fried rice and mix it all up together. Monkey Bread $7 (4/5) Yes, this is what we saw on the counter. Me being a fatty stopped myself from getting extra donuts but maybe next time. You can pull apart the pieces to share. The top had a nice chocolate topping and inside was chewy sweetness. Fresh OJ $8 (4/5) Fresh, so like freshly squeeze thus the high price. Good for you. Large Coffee with 4 shots Americano $5.50 (4/5) Can go wrong with a wake me up coffeeeeeeeeeee Would definitely come back to try the other dishes when were in town.

My wife and I were in Napa 2 weeks ago and heard about this restaurant from Check Please Bay Area television program. The lines were long both times we visited, but we knew about this before going. This is the oldest building in Napa and limited in size. The parking lot is also limited so allow for extra time in case you have to park further away and walk. On our first trip we had the special tacos of the day, side of beans, and the flan french toast. Wife had the mimosa flight and I had the beer flight. The food was excellent. We could not stop raving about the food to one another. The rice and beans alone would have compelled us to visit again (and they did, unfortunately). The tacos were flavorful and juicy. We had no negative notes for the flan french toast. My wife enjoyed the mimosa flight, but would have liked the mango mimosa in the flight to have had a little less juice. I enjoyed my beer flight as well. I was curious about their in house beers and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed them. Fast forward 2 weeks. My wife and I had another planned trip to Napa and we made it a point to build time in the schedule to revisit La Cheve. We arrived about the same time in the day as our first visit (2 pm) and waited patiently in line. We ordered the steak tacos, rice and beans (of course) and the guacamole, because it must be out of this world like everything that they make there. Wife ordered the beermosa and I had their in house American Dream beer. The steak in the tacos were very flavorful but nothing out of the ordinary. The rice and beans did not taste as good as the first time. We talked about how good the rice was the first time and how we could just eat the rice without anything else. This time around, not so much. The rice and beans lacked flavor. Oh and the poor guacamole. The only flavor there was lime. The guacamole was over limed with chunks of onion, tomato and was in dire need of salt. My wife took one bite and refused to go back to it. The drinks were fine. In the end, the flavor of the food went from a solid 5 stars to a 0. I gave a 2 star rating because of the downward trend versus 3 stars given the 2.5 star average. Overall, I'm not sure if the 5 star experience or the 0 star visit was the anomaly. It's a significant price to pay to find out given the 30+ minutes waiting in line, the limited parking and a lost meal opportunity in Napa where there are many excellent dining options.
