I wish this review wasn't so low, but here is my experience. I made a reservation through open table-for a big group - they didn't seat us for 30 minutes but it was definitely because of some rude people that were openly discussing how they would not be pushed out. The staff bought us a round of drinks to make up for the delay which was really nice. The table popcorn in Lieu of a bread basket was yummy, but they gave us one bag for 13 people! We placed our orders and when they arrived there were a few wrong items. The real reason for this 2 star review is the food. The corn appetizer was picked like 2 months too soon and just strange. The lobster roll was mediocre but my daughters chicken fingers were disgusting. Big chunks of deep fried batter and a smidge of chicken underneath all of the goo. It was gross. Also my husband got a corn beef sandwich and the bread was dipped in butter and so soft and buttery it was like a butter sandwich. The service was less than okay once seated. I feel sad this cute location delivered us and our European guests such a bad meal. read more

Bit fierce on price & middling. Philly cheesesteak egg rolls. Very good (but no dip?) and 3 little pieces at 15 bucks? Seemed chincy to us. Burger for grandma - she's taking the 5th. My eldest had chicken meatball pasta which was good according to Sam. V good pickles, also fries good. Kids meals, good range and prices very fair actually. Chicken wings (bbq) tasted good but a little dry/over cooked. I supplemented with Buffalo & enjoyed. Chimichanga and tomato soup I shared with wife. Decent both. Little grilled cheese a trim to soup, neat. Another nice touch was free pop corn when you sat. My Apple brandy Manhattan was good. Nice selection of wines, initially ordered a beer which was un-drinkably flat. I'd give this 3.5 stars. Nice service. read more

Stopped in on Easter before heading home. We were not starving since we had enjoyed family brunch earlier in the day. The waitress immediately lost interest in us when we only ordered two tomato soups and fries. The sweet potato fries were great. However the soup tasted like spaghetti sauce - one bowl was essentially untouched and the other only half eaten. The waitress never commented or asked if we were satisfied. We didn't order drinks or entrees, which might explain her total lack of interest. We will not return- Greenport has plenty of good places to eat that make you feel welcome and do a better job with the food. read more

Sadly have to write this review. Went to andys for my husbands birthday, when mentioned in passing, bartender gave him a complimentary beer which was really nice. The restaurant was full, however the waitresses all seemed frazzled and explained that the kitchen wasn't fully caught up on orders so there would be a wait, we were fine with that in the beginning. Appetizers took 30 minutes. Husband ordered for his entree the first and chips, reeked of uncleaned fish and the flour was clearly not seasoned whatsoever ( we come from a long line of catering background) I ordered the chicken pad Thai. I knew this would be a gamble, seeing as how it is a gastropub as well as the fact that I lived in Thailand and know really authentic pad Thai. Plate arrived with heaps of tofu. Looked at the menu one more time to confirm, there was no mention of tofu whatsoever and I know for a fact that traditional pad Thai does NOT have tofu on it, what if I had a serious soy allergy? Not very safe if you're asking me. Mentioned it to the waitress, and thankfully I didn't even have to pay for the entree, seeing as how I barely even ate it, I was hoping they wouldn't charge us for it. Anyway, it was a total bummer because the menu did look good, and the reviews made it sound like a really good place. read more

Andy's just opened and draws crowds for good reason. Firstly, the menu and prices are more family friendly than other Greenport restaurants, and yet the menu is really creative and fun and of awesome quality (I mean it, I'm a foodie). Let's hope it stays open through the winter, after all the tourists are one thing but the locals also deserve this. Great bar space, too. read more

Adore everything about Andys especially every soup I have tried, the tomato with grilled cheese croutons is amazing and any special from the clam chowder, chili, etc. The charred octopus salad is one of my favorites as well. A really nice surprise! First visit. Wandered into Andy's mid week for lunch and it was all around excellent. Nice atmosphere. Nice beer selection and my wife's "creamsicle" drink was spot on. We went on a Sunday evening. Got seated right away. They had board games for kids which kept our son occupied while we waited for the food. The fish and chips had an Asian flare to it which made it different and unexpected but so delicious. My husband had the burger which was juicy and he kept saying how good it was. My family and I visit Southold for multiple weeks every summer and have been for many years. We are often saddened each summer when our favorite restaurants close in Greenport. Rhumbline, chowderpot, bbq bills, the loft. Greenport seems to be going in the direction of the hamptons. We are very excited to come back to Andy's as it has become one of our new favorites. Laid back atmosphere, great food and great place. The chicken Sammy is awesome and bubble bread may be the best appetizer I've had. I know Andy does a lot to give back and add to the community as well. We can't wait to come back. Keep on killing it Andy you guys are doing great. read more

Not a fan. No silverware for the first half of my meal. Forever to get water for my daughter. When it finally came it had lettuce in it and who doesn't bring a straw for a FIVE YEAR OLD!!! Menu was very enticing but they should spend less money on the over abundance of TV's and focus on getting the food out in a reasonable manner. Food took forever too. Maybe it was an off night. But after 20 years in the food business this place is ran by a bunch of hacks! AVOID! A ton of other options in Greenport that don't take over an hour to prepare a mini burger for a child.
