This Andytown is inside Gus's Market which we didn't know when we stopped by for coffee but there are some small tables inside to stay for a bit. Similar to other Andytown locations, they have their signature drinks and pastries. It was fairly cold and I already had one cup of coffee for the day so I ended up getting a peppermint tea which was light and comforting, just what I needed. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon around 3:30. Got the minty mocha iced with oat and whipped cream. Also got the let it snowy plouver. Both were so good I loved the whipped cream and the little candy cane they added in top was so cute! The plouver was so good and minty and tasted so sweet with the soda and whipped cream!! I am a little torn about this review, I love Andys coffee, it is delicious and it is SF local coffee, what can be better and they do not surcharge you for non dairy milk. Yay !! The coffee shop is right on the left side inside the Gus's market and there are outside seats which I am assuming are for the Gus's customers but it seems that lot of people that shop at Gus's go to sit and eat at Andytown so when I came in with a friend to have coffee, we had no place to sit becasue all seats and there are few available were taken and majority was taken by Gus's customers. Not cool in my option. I did not see a sign that Andytown coffee is only for the customers but I was just bothered. The coffee and staff is amazing ! CC accepted. read more

Andytown is one of my favorite coffee spots in the city so I'm excited to see one open up in the mission! It's located inside a grocery store but the menu is the exact same as their fidi location. I got the matcha plover and it was amazing as expected. The cream goes so well with the carbonated water so it's like a matcha cream soda. I usually enjoy Andytown, but this location is a different story. One female barista with a buzz cut is consistently rude, and it's not in a subtle way--you can feel it the moment you walk up. I've heard her openly talking negatively about customers while we're still near her. The vibe she provides is unwelcoming, like she's annoyed you even showed up to order. If you want good coffee and respect, skip this location and go elsewhere. read more

Love andytown all over sf! Not only is the coffee pretty good, but the service is incredible and the baristas at this location (like Alex) are super nice. The matcha plover is soooo good and I love all their baked goods - especially the cheddar scones! The service here is very poor in comparison to other branches. I've had a few bad drinks here, sometimes I'll see they're slammed and just take as is, sometimes I ask them if it'd be possible to be remade. But it comes with attitude and a verbal exchange amongst employees shit talking about me while I'm 6 feet away. Very disappointed. Parked my toddler's stroller in a corner out of the way to go shopping before stopping to get a coffee and was yelled at by a barista to not put my stroller where it was. I asked why and they said it was in the way(which it wasn't. There were literally 3 people in the cafe sitting at a tables with no customers in line or being served). When I asked where I could leave the stroller they shrugged and said to ask the people at Gus's clearly not caring to help. I know about ADA compliance and know not to block any walkways or retail items. I've never been to a cafe where strollers and kids aren't welcome so definitely won't be coming here again. It's pretty ironic that this cafe is in a "community market" but the barista clearly didn't care about community. read more

Maybe the worst coffee experience I've ever had in my life. Went to Andy town to get one of my favorite coffees and unfortunately I encountered a barista who I can only assume was having a really bad day. She was giving me some pretty intense attitude which I tried to ignore. I was peacefully waiting for my coffee near the espresso bar and she shot me a bunch of really dirty looks. I was a little surprised and asked if everything was OK. She said yes with an extra helping of Snark. Although she said everything was OK, the tone and subtext of her response was extremely negative and hostile. For whatever reason, she didn't like me standing near the bar waiting for my coffee. When she gave me my coffee. It was about 1/3 full of actual coffee. I've been frequenting town for at least seven years and like I said, this is one of my favorite drinks. This particular coffee was unlike any of the others I had previously had. There was hardly any coffee, in fact, the total liquid levels below the rim of the cup. And typically, there's a huge dollop of whipped cream on top. There was a small dollop that had sunk into the bottom and the coffee was just looking sad and not worth the 6.25. When I mentioned that the coffee looked a little short, her reply was, "it doesn't matter what it looks like. It's just a drink. Who cares." I found this to be pretty insulting although I kept my cool and tone even. I replied, "I care, it was expensive ". She then told me to leave the store. Thankfully her manager jumped in and stopped her ranting. The manager attempted to pull me aside and ask what was going on. We had to move away from the counter because she would not leave us alone. We moved to the center of the café where she still continue to hurl insults over the bar and requested that I leave again. Her poor manager was having trouble getting her to calm down and respect our private conversation so we moved an additional time outside onto the sidewalk. The manager and I hash things out and to be honest, I was actually concerned about the barista. In all honesty, I haven't done anything to incur any wrath. I told the manager to not punish her too hard and to see if she needed to take a break or something. Something is obviously going on with her. The manager encouraged me to reach out to their HR department which I did and made a complaint but again asked that the barista not be punished rather reeducated on how to give decent customer service. Thankfully the manager comped my coffee and sandwich which totaled over $18. I don't know if I'm ever gonna come back to Andy town. I don't know if I can rationalize poor experiences with those high prices. Thankfully, there are many, many other coffee establishments in San Francisco. read more

Hello, glad they opened up a spot in the Mission that is also close to Potrero Hill. Not new to Andytown, but was excited to be one of the first 100 customer to receive my free drink and order their yummy breakfast sandwich (BS) it seemed really good when they posted on IG! Like always their coffee was great but their BS was not as great as I've hoped for. The over easy egg still had a good amount of their white undercooked and their bacon was soft and not crispy at all, therefore it felt more like a ham cheese sandwich with a gooey, soft egg bits. The reason for 3 stars is because I came back for a second time and they were slammed since there were only two employees working. There was a delay for ordering which is expected, but when I got to order it felt rushed I was not even able to enter my phone # to get my points. Finally, as I got my cappuccino it came out flat, lukewarm and with no art; I was surprised I would prefer waiting 5 extra minutes instead of drinking this bad cappuccino. I did not bother asking for them to remake since I did not want to add to their stress and for more customers to receive A-OK drink. read more
