Decided to try the Angry Crab Shack for lunch. I wasn't sure what to expect. I was surprised that the flavor profile is Asian seafood. The menu has a fair amount of choices; and with the various sauces, there are lots of combinations that could be made. Since I had to go back to work after lunch, I decided to do a Lunch Bowl. I went with Scallops, the Trifecta sauce in level 1 Mild. Okay, on a scale of 0 to 6 (6 being "Ridiculously Hot"), I was good. I don't know that I could handle higher than a 3. I ordered the Dungeness crab and clam boil. They both tasted fresh and the clams were perfect size and delicious. I've ordered it twice and both times I chose mild (wimpy) for the spice level and both times it was super spicy. Best to go with Me No Likey Spice level if you can't handle the heat. read more

Saw this restaurant on tiktok and thought we'd give this place a try while we are out in Nevada. Apparently this place took over an old Joe's carb shack. So it was very spacious. The service was good, the food was okay. I still prefer boiling crab sauce over this type of sauce. For the price we paid it was great. We ordered 2 family feast, some raw and cooked oysters, drinks, tenders, Alligator nuggets, gumbo, soup and etc feedings 8 adults and 2 kids and it was around $600. Cannot beat the price. The owner/manager would walk around with a giant live lobster to show the kids and customers, he also walked around with an alligator display, pretty good entertainment for kids. This was my first visit, and it didn't disappoint. The food was excellent--well-seasoned without being overpowering. I opted for the level 3 heat, which delivered a nice kick but wasn't too intense. My Hurricane cocktail was fantastic, with just the right amount of kick. Our server, Kenzie, was outstanding. She was helpful, energetic, and truly enhanced our experience. Angry Crab Shack was at the top of my list of restaurants I really wanted to visit while in Vegas. I was first introduced to Angry Crab while visiting friend in Mesa Arizona. I love cajun seafood and was truly impressed with this business so when I realized they were also located in Vegas I had to indulge. We were seated right away in a nice corner booth. I think the restaurant was not so busy because it was like 5:30 pm which during the winter time in Vegas it's dark already. So dinner time. Our waitress Takiya was great. She had a beautiful smile and was very friendly. I ordered a Sweet Peach Lemonade with Deep Eddy Peach Vodka and lemonade which was delicious. Once our drinks came Takiya took our food order which was great because I was hungry... the whole restaurant had that amazing cajun smell and I couldn't wait to dig in. I ordered snow crab legs and heads off shrimp with potato's and corn and for spices Takiya suggested Cajun, Lemmon pepper and garlic sauce. Boy was I not disappointed. I ate every bit of crab I could dig out of those legs. The corn and potatoes were so delicious and just added to the great flavor. My lips were burning, but I just couldn't stop eating. Everything just went so we together. The restaurant is a pretty good size with lots of tables, but spread out for great social distancing. The floors were clean and the bathrooms were equally clean. Their walls are very unique. You can get a sharpie pens from the front and write anything you want on the walls. Most people just write their names and the date, but it's a cool concept. The cost to eat such an amazing meal was another great thing about Angry Crab Shack. I like in Hawaii and it cost a lot to enjoy any type of seafood. We left feeling full and content. I really wish someone buys a franchise and opens in Hawaii. We could really use more great Cajun crab boil restaurants. I am in love with this place. I normally go in the afternoon between 12-3. It's never usually crowded. It's cute on the inside. It has a shark and a sea turtle on the top of the wall. You can also get a permanent marker and write your name or something on the walls if there is a spot left. I normally get a pound of shrimp. I change the seasoning occasionally and usually go for a mild spice. It's about $20-25 for a pound of peeled and devained shrimp. Prices are great for the amount and quality. The staff are very attentive, but I go when it's not busy. I have never had a bad experience. read more

This new spot here in Henderson came thru with my order of fish and chips and clam chowder! The food was packed in sturdy plastic containers. The price /portions /quantity of the delicious flaky fish are in line with other f&c places in the area. Why I choose this place over the other places are the many sides choices offered with your meal. Not only did I get chips, but choice of 2 more sides! I chose cornbread, which was the more soft cake like style, very good! And hush puppies, which were OK. It was a bit dry for my liking. Don't miss out ordering a separate side of clam chowder! Angry Crab's version is AWESOMELICIOUS! The perfect consistency; creamy and smooth. Plenty of clams in every bite I took. The only downside was the delivery driver delivered my food to the wrong address. Fortunately the house it went to knocked on my door since the address was written on the receipt. But that was 25 minutes after my food was supposedly sent. Hence the lost star. Not the fault of the restaurant, but this serves as a heads-up to the delivery service they are using. So unfortunately the food was so good I didn't take pictures of the actual boil! I will say this, this place is absolutely delicious and fairly priced and I definitely will be back. My boyfriend and I shared the Surf No Turf and their Bread for Soppin and it was absolutely delicious. The seasoning was flavorful, the heat was great and the atmosphere was very casual. They give you a lot of food in the boil and my boyfriend end and I even had leftovers. We got their apple crumble for dessert and that was even more delicious. The service here was also super spectacular! Our server Takiya was super nice and she made sure to continue checking on our table throughout our time there. The manager was also super sweet, we had to move to a different space in the restaurant and she gave us a discount for the inconvenience. My friend and I decided to try a new seafood boil place and let me tell you they did not disappoint. First off just from walking up to the restaurant you can SMELL the seafood. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and was seated pretty quickly. The price was reasonable especially compared to other seafood places. The servers were so accommodating and very very nice. I've been waiting to try this place. So my friends where in town and we wanted to do happy hour and went here. I will say now is not the time to go for happy hour. It's really just beer specials and a cocktail special. No food and nothing to write home about. We did. Talk to the new manager and she mention they were looking into changing happy hour. It needs to be more happier!! Other than that the food was good. I never heard of naked shrimp boil before so I paid the extra, I think, $10 to make them naked. I think you build your own boil, but I would if they included more than just the meat with the price. Overall the sauce was good but need a tad bit more in the bag. This is by far my favorite "shrimp in a bag" restaurant in town for one main reason. They offer shrimp that is peeled and deveined for your dining pleasure. That is enough of a reason for me to drive from summerlin to Henderson to get my spicy shrimp on. Their potatoes are also thoroughly cooked and the corn on the cob is exquisite. They have a nice smattering of drink choices from the bar and they're probably most popular for their social media videos showing off huge lobster platters. I did speak to one of the managers and you do need to call ahead for a giant lobster. Another event happened where our child ended up with a bruise from an employee unintentionally dropping something on her. (By the time we arrived at home the bruise was visible.) Your employee was extremely apologetic which we appreciated. We thought our child was just embarrassed with what happened and didn't realize the extent of what happened till we saw the bruise. The videos from IG are super deceiving and definitely show only the best of what they have. This place was not that good and the service was even worse. We explained to the server that it was our first time there plus we were from out of town. He simply stated in other words that we basically didn't say it correctly (our order). In my opinion, he didn't seem to pay attention to what we were saying because everyone at our table thought he came off rude. We have been to other crab boils that are similar so we pretty much know how seafood boils work. My disappointment was with their sauce and how small the mussels were compared to what you see on Instagram. There were things not on the menu that they did have but had to ask if it was available. There's plenty of parking available and was a sign that the place wasn't all that good since it seemed very empty. We've visited this place 3 times in the past month. The Jambalaya and Catfish were great, very flavorful. Gumbo was not the chunky-style southern dish that one would normally expect. We didn't have high expectations at all, and they weren't met. The oysters (fried) were burnt, and the calamari was rubbery. My wife and I both had the Crab Cake sandwich... a place named for Crab places a certain basic quality level expectation, wouldn't you say?
