Wanted to like this place....really liked the AC in Ahwatukee but it closed. First visit had two issues: 1. Ordered online from the AC website that provided order completion tracking. Order wasn't ready for a half hour after it said "order ready". 2. Most of the food (wings, catfish, crawdads, sausage) was over salted. Not a good sign for the quality/freshness of the ingredients. Rinsed the sausage and it was still very salty. Removed one star for ineffective customer service response. No action, just pushing more actions back to the customer? read more

I strive to give my personal subjective opinion and objective analysis of every place I go to. I like sea food and it's has gone one of both ways. I'm either enjoying a full belly and happy or on the toilet all night long. I was enjoying a full belly leaving this popular establishment. Seafood is never cheap so I enjoyed what I can for the price. The place is a little pricy for the quality and amount of food. However I left a great tip because our waitress rocked! I will come back for a family dinner because this place is not a place for a date night. I should have dressed down tonight. The wine selection is easy white or red? Three each. There are more domestic beers than French fries on my fish and chips plate. I will come back again in the future when a family member from out of town wants to eat at a place that very commercial. I've been to angry crab shack before but it was the one in surprise. This one is new and in my area so we wanted to try it. The service was 5 stars. The staff was amazing. The restaurant was clean. The fries and hush puppies were delicious. I got a boil with shrimp sausage and king crab. I got the trifecta spice number 2. I like spice and could have maybe done a 3 but the 2 was nice. I also got a side of garlic butter for dipping. The king crab was ok. I know there is a big shortage of crab so I understand they were not the huge pieces we got when we went in surprise. It sucks but that's where we're at. The sausage was ok. The shrimp was delicious. My only complaint is how much plastic is wasted. I took food to go and let me tell you the left overs were great. I just felt guilty that it was a huge plastic bag inside a huge plastic bag inside a huge plastic. Everything was yummy. The king crab was small. Service was great. read more

Went in late lunch midweek. Had been to the Scottsdale Angry Crab Shack and thought it was really good. Sought this one out closer to home. Upon entry noticed plenty of seating and kind of a cool atmosphere. Not many patrons which was great. Was seated at a table and the waiter came over immediately and got our drinks. I then ordered fried clams as an appetizer. They were very good. I ordered the catfish basket which came with fries as well as another side which I ordered red beans and rice. It was all very good. I'm hoping they are working the kinks out at this new location and our experience is not typical. Our food was terrible. The charred oysters were over cooked, over salted and inedible. The "EZ peel" shrimp were also over boiled and impossible to peel. Everyone in our party had overcooked or over salted food (fried appetizers were rock-hard too). The service is great actually . We went on a busy Friday and yet didn't have to wait to be seated. The food is at market price and for a party of two it's a lot. I would recommend going with Cajun and getting hot it's delicious. The fries are great and mussel (Green) are my favorite. The staff is solid and manage any delays and obstacles that come their way. I go to this restaurant for several reasons. Number one, the food is Excellent.. Seriously excellent. The second is the staff! When you walk in your greeted by greeters who seat you. Awesome, friendly. Once you sit down, you'll understand why I come back again and again.. some of my favorite servers.. Dakota, Reyna, Camille, Pia and now Sami. I'm now their Uncle. These young women are so wonderful. Great conversations, wonderful sense of humors. It is so refreshing to have such conversations with young people. Quite refreshing compared to other establishments. They seriously make you feel so welcome. On my second visit I was referred to by my first name. I cannot say enough good things about this place. My mouth is watering just think about the crab legs, hush puppies,, etc. it's all good. I forgot to mention that it's conveniently located. Great location, and pretty good service knowing they are short staffed. Do not order crab legs. The king crab legs were horribly under sized for $55 a pound. Too small to even fight for the meat. Go to Costco for these if you want some ! Anyhow, the shrimp was great, as well as the oysters, French fries, salad and cold beer. A suggestion- if you order steamed item(s), get your sauce on the side. If you order it added to your bag, it is a terrible mess try to remove any type of shell. Much easier to remove the meat otherwise and then just dip in your sauce AND if you don't care the sauce you can just get a different flava'. read more

My Husband & I went there for dinner on 1/21/24 his Birthday. It was our first visit & didn't quite know what to expect. The Service was Terrible from the start! The server never brought my water or the hot sauce for my Husband. I was Not happy about eating the Seafood Boil in a bag so they put it in a Bucket. I wasn't thrilled about eating my dinner on Butcher Block paper without a plate. I requested one & it it didn't come. I went up to the Hostess & she gave me a Very Small Paper Plate. It was only big enough for a small sandwich not Crab legs or lobsters. There was So much Butter Broth that the potatoes & corn on the Cob were soaked & Soggy. I told them it was my Husbands birthday & they didn't relay it to our server. The food had flavor but not great, especially for the charge.
