It's so good it can give the pizza down state a run for their money. It's truly delicious. Stopped by here after a trip to the glass museum and before my road trip back home to the city. Service was a bit slow to get an order in at the counter so didn't seem like the most inviting place, but likely because they were so busy. We ordered a large pizza with half jalapeños and half onions and while a little too greasy for my taste, it came out hot and crunchy (the crust was really perfect) and we were pleased with the generous serving of the toppings... as we should have been as the pie wasn't exactly cheap. Seemed like THE pizzeria to go to if you're from the area, but as a snobby 'downstater' I'd give this a solid average rating. read more

When in town on business I will try to get a hot ham and cheese sub here, but...............only if I can get here before noon. The subs are made to order and take some time because you can't rush perfection right? The problem is on a nice day the lunch crowd here is fierce and the wait can eat up your available time very easily. If you can get here before noon or very close to it there is never an issue and you can enjoy the hot fresh baked bread of your sub while people watching...ie: watching those other folks stand on line. Aniello's is a classic, East Coast Pizza joint with great pizza, salads, calzones and garlic knots. You can't leave Corning without eating here at least once. Prices are good and I really appreciate that they have dual soda fountains - it's hard to find Coca-Cola in the Northeast so for a non-Pepsi drinker, Aniello's is a no brainer. read more

The pizza is really good... When you eat it fresh. The pizza is warm and crisp and the cheese is lovely, but if you let your pizza sit for 30 or more minutes it tends to get very greasy. If you have acid reflux I would recommend taking an acid reducer before eating this pizza. Besides that, if you come during a busy time, I do feel the pizza is worth the wait. We had visited during lunch rush at glassfest and were not dissapointed with the food here. the cookies are amazing and the pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. If you are up for real New York (not Greek) style pizza, this place is hard to beat. Homemade crust, family recipe sauce are key. Plain cheese pie and a salad and you are good to go. The place is always busy and the quality is consistent. Special shout out to the meatball provolone sub, get extra sauce, let it sit in the foil for a few minutes after it comes out piping hot so the sauce can soak into the homemade roll, and you've got yourself a winner. Aniello's was a great choice for friday night family dinner last week. My wife and I each ordered a calzone (pepperoni for me and meatball for my wife). The restaurant was packed and people kept streaming in so the wait on our meal was well understood. The seats were comfy and we had some great convo in this easy going, family setting. The Calzones arrived very toasty and were great. Each was served with a size of Mariana sauce which at first glance looked watered down, but when I dipped my calzone in it.... it all worked perfectly. This pizza by far is the best I've had in the world. And I really mean the world the slice is here ranked in the top 5 that I've had the opportunity to consume. :-) they rival the slices I've had in Greece and even Italy! The other things that make this place incredible are the people. The service is so friendly and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into the processes and the training cuz it pays off in the customer experience. The space is perfect it's big, open, and has booths and tables and high tops. Large Windows overlooking Market Street, clean bathrooms, an ATM, and Wifi are all bonuses. The menu is perfectly expansive, but not expensive. They're incredible salads sandwiches soups - especially chili on Wednesday - and pizza are all incredible. Fun selections of drinks beer and wine but also groovy sodas. I could go here everyday sometimes I do. We are so lucky to have this place in our town of Corning, it's an institution of Yum! read more

Just what is this place? This is Corning, NY, not a place that's supposed to have good pizza!!! I fell in love, instantly, and ate here for lunch and dinner (the same day :O) while I was in town. To be honest, I was going to go to Boomer's for lunch (also a decent place), but went the wrong way down Market Street. I saw a huge line wrapped around the inside of this place and decided that all those people can't be wrong. One thing I didn't love is that the location of the line you wait in doesn't allow you to peruse the available slices! But I'm a newb, so maybe this doesn't bother other people. So what I did instead was eavesdrop on the people in line around me! I overheard that you definitely can't go wrong with a plain cheese slice, so this is where I started. AND OMG THAT WAS THE BEST EAVESDROPPING TIP EVER! Just yum!! I love thin crust pizzas, I hate sweet sauce, I love a good oregano spice... this hit all my notes. Later that day I went back to try the buffalo chicken slice. After it was heated, he asked if I wanted blue cheese on it! I absolutely love when pizza places put blue cheese on their buffalo chicken slices, so this hit on that note too! While the amount of blue cheese was a tad overkill, again I'm a newb and would know to ask for a reduced amount next time! I literally cannot wait to go back to Corning for this place! Aniello's has been in Corning forever! It's a family run business and many of the staff have been there a long time so it's a good place to work which tells me it's a good business. Always long lines but service is fast and you'll be so busy talking, texting or looking around at all the customers that you won't notice the wait. The pizza is delicious once you use a handful of napkins to blot off the grease on top. I find them to be a little heavy on the garlic, but that could simply be because garlic bothers me these days. Wow, great pizza, calzone, and service! We visited on Jan 4th and the staff was awesome - on the younger side, but well organized and very focused on delivering a great experience. Very attentive to our needs, and even when quite busy our waitress was willing to take an additional beer order from across the room. My pepperoni pizza was excellent. The outer crust is a little thicker than I like it, but this one was just perfect. After biting through the outer crust, you were met with a light, airy dough that led to a center pie that was super tasty with just the right amount of cheese and pepperoni. The calzones were like no others we've had. Pre-made and reheated in the oven, we were told - but you'd never know it, as in no way did this take away from the quality of the meal. Hot out of the oven, it had crispy crust with a perfectly seasoned and melted center. The first was made of spinach and broccoli, and second with sausage. They were both excellent, and a must have if you've never tried them. We had Aniello's twice over our visit to Corning, we just loved it that much! Out of all of the places we visited, they adhered to the Covid guidelines most visibly, and it didn't take anything away from the warm, welcoming feeling you got when you visited. Spacious, airy, indoor eating area, tons of outdoor space in front, and delivery was quick and hot. (We are indoors one time, and got delivery the second.) Pizzas were yummy (try the chicken wing! Our daughter lives in Corning and when coming to visit it is now tradition to eat our first meal there when we get in from the U.P. Of Mi. Our favorite thin crust pizza, and last night we lost our sausage roll virginity, and gonna have to order one each time we're there. I flipping love this place. It's my favorite pizza in the whole world. It's the pizza I compare all other pizza to. Yes, it is very greasy, so if you don't like greasy pizza (although a lot of people just dab the grease off with a napkin) get something else. They have really good hot subs and I get the antipasto salad frequently. It can get quite busy, but the line moves pretty quickly. They're quick at the counter, but they've always been friendly. The chicken wing pizza is a favorite among my friends, they always order one when they come to town. The rolls are made fresh there, as is the salad dressing. All the toppings are fresh. It's the place I miss the second-most (besides Wegmans) when I've lived outside of New York. It can get kind of loud inside depending on when you're there, but it's still family-friendly. read more

We went here before the dinner rush on Sunday evening and ordered 2 pizzas and a salad. Unfortunately everything took over 30 minutes to arrive. This included the salad which came out with the everything else despite us asking for it to come out earlier.
