After walking the airport I felt like this place looked and sounded the best. The display of sandwiches caught my attention, and they had coffee. Lot of seating area here. Seen they had a breakfast sandwich and made my choices. The staff were nice. Took about 20 minutes for the sandwich. The sandwich itself wasn't too bad. When asked for avocado I said yes. It was a comical amount of avocado they didn't add. The egg itself seemed like one egg only. The sandwich seemed pretty thin and skimpy with the bread a bit over cooked and oily. Not a fan of the cheese. I'd give the sandwich a 4/10 Probably wouldn't get it again. As for the coffee it was great. Super tasty and came out in like 5 minutes. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at Annie's Coffee & Bar in the Austin Airport on 5/25/26. While waiting to order, another customer and I noticed there was no clear indication of where the line started or which cashier was taking orders. When I politely asked an employee, I was told, "There's two cashiers, we are taking the ones who are paying attention." The response came across as rude and dismissive considering other customers had been waiting behind us where we thought the line started. After placing my order, I noticed my receipt showed a hot coffee even though I had specifically ordered it iced. When I brought it up, instead of remaking it properly, I was handed a cup of ice separately and expected to fix it myself. I explained that I ordered an iced coffee, not a hot coffee with ice on the side. The employee then focused on what was printed on the receipt rather than acknowledging the order had been entered incorrectly. My original drink was thrown away, I was asked to move while waiting for the replacement, and after asking her how long it would take, she was refusing to inform me until I kept asking then she said "5 minutes" and I said "that's fine." When my coffee was finally handed to me, the interaction still felt unfriendly and dismissive. By that point, I no longer felt comfortable drinking it. This was NEVER about an iced coffee. It was about how poorly the situation was handled. Mistakes happen, but respectful customer service goes a long way. I hope they can do better moving forward since most of them seemed to be in a bad mood and taking it out on the customers. read more

Of course you can have them cold or let them run through the Panini press and get the cheese nice and gooey. They also have several different salads that look good too. We tried the broccoli salad and it has a sweet chili flavor. Many sweets are available too. The order is placed first then go to the cashier who gives you a number. I wanted something quick on a busy Monday early afternoon. Found Annie's next to gate 27 and loved their display of yummy salads. But did I get one of the beautiful salads? Nope. Went for the cheesy melty croque sandwich. Which was freshly pressed and warm. The sandwich came out very quickly. I had more of a challenge finding seating (I can't sit at the high tops - bad hip). I'm not sure why this place has such bad reviews, u always have great service and good food. This time, I got a Salad Sampler which lets you choose any 4 salads so I got chicken, beets, arugula, and chick peas... it was so good! The staff that put your food together are usually very friendly and informative. It's not fine dining by any means but the containers are so you can travel with your food if your departure time is close. They also make really good burgers and if you only want drinks, they have a bar on the other side. I'll keep coming here and definitely recommend it. read more

We choose this place because at noon on a Sunday the 29th of June there was a very small line and the sandwiches looked good. I should have turned around as soon as I saw the gentleman at the sandwich and pasta section paying more attention to females walking by than the customers in front of him. I ordered the Croque Monsieur sandwich, the pesto pasta, and a croissant. It took 20 minutes for them to heat my sandwich up on a Panini press. And then it was burnt. On top of that, many of the employees are massively overweight, which seems to slow them down significantly. Seemed like a great place that had "vegan" and gluten free options, and my first interaction with the staff was pleasant. However it became clear at checkout that this business gouges customers and especially those with dietary restrictions. Ordered the portobello mushroom burger and a gluten free bun. The cook asked if I wanted fries so I said yes, and I grabbed a kombucha to drink. The total came out to nearly $40. Yes, 40 flipping dollars, 22 for the burger, with an up charge for the gluten free (understandable) and an up charge for the fries (WTF, this is America and burgers should come with fries, especially a $22 burger). The kombucha was $9 and then on top of that they added a credit card surcharge and then prompted for a tip of at least 15%. There was no price breakdown provided prior to swiping my card so when my receipt printed, I was LIVID. Waiting for the food, I cooled off a little, hoping it would be good, hoping the staff gets paid a living wage, trying to be a good person. But when the burger came, I knew this was an absolute waste of my money and time and I was so incredibly frustrated and irate. The burger was paltry with the mushroom being no larger than a half dollar. The tase was mediocre at best and not even close to worth half of what I paid. The mayonnaise overpowered everything and inherently IS NOT VEGAN, hence the quotes at the beginning of my review. After two bites, I was eating a lettuce and mayo sandwich, seething, and trying not to direct my anger at the staff, who probably don't have any control over the exorbitant and irrational pricing scheme of this restaurant. I understand airport upcharges, but even in all my fine dining experience I have never had a "meal" with so little value at such a high price. Odd layout....Like other reviewers have stated: There are no signs instructing you where to order sandwiches or breakfast..or coffee. VERY Disorganized. Not overly impressed with their breakfast menu anyway, so I settled on 2 croissants, large coffee, and bottled water. Prices were a bit steep. $5.99 for a Croissant? Airport pricing, I guess.... The croissants were nice sized and fresh. Coffee and water were fine. I came in today out of desperation as I missed breakfast trying to hurry to the airport (for a delayed flight). Let's be clear, this is airport food, I know that, but this airport food was special as it also came with a major airport attitude. I ordered a fried egg sandwich which came in at the low price of $11.37 (sarcasm). When I approached the counter to place my order the service was pleasant, however my coffee order was a total 180. The young women who waited on me was short, curt, and borderline cantankerous. Attitude aside, let's get to the million dollar sandwich.. the sandwich took about 10 minutes to get be prepared and was served on the driest bread. The bacon, tomato and egg were okay however bread for the sandwich soaked up much of the buttery egg and juice from the tomato up rendering the entire sandwich less than enjoyable. I'm updating Annie's review. I give Annie's a solid 3.5 and I'm bumping it to 4 stars. It's not uncommon that I walk the extra distance to Annie's because they have healthier options. My previous review was marred by getting a wrong sandwich but since then things have been repeatedly good. Also, realtalk: the bread the use is delicious. Today I'm in for a full day of travel with delays and weather so I treated myself to their breakfast sandwich. At 10.50 it's near the most expensive in the airport but maybe worth it. Crusty bread, grilled. Fried egg, bacon, cheese and tomato. Do I wish there was a bit more bacon? Of course. Did I thoroughly enjoy it? Yes. Thanks for being here, Annie's. read more
