We decided to check out Annie's due to all the positive reviews. We went there on a weekday morning and it was packed. This place has a nice, comfy, family feel to it. I ordered a California omelette (not on the menu) and my mom had the french toast. The omelette was the best I've had in a long time. Hash browns were good too. I especially liked the fact that the food was not greasy. My mom enjoyed her breakfast as well. The servers did a good job even though it was very busy. The kitchen was getting a little backed up and our waitress apologized for the wait (which actually wasn't that long). Coffee was good (a big thing for me) and always refilled. As mentioned in previous reviews, be prepared to be interrupted every so often by dancing and celebration. Not a big deal, but I could do without the racket. Went in of a Tuesday morning, about 1/4 of the tables were full. Nice menu a lot of choices. The food was good and hot. Pancakes were great as was the sausage. Server appeared a bit disinterested, like she'd been a server for years. Not engaging at all but were served promptly. All in all nice place will go back again. I received a response from the owner regarding out visit. In all fairness, we have been back several times, and the server in question was there and had a totally better attitude. Came here for the first on Easter Sunday and waited about 45 min. We were entertained with their dance performance. Ok so I ordered eggs, sausage and pancakes. Goid prices and portions. My coffee was just ok. Our waitress seemed like she wasn't in the mood to be there so we didn't want to ask too many questions. We felt a little rushed by her so...we ate kind of fast. The customer service is excellent. The food was good. I tried the Denver Omelette with hash browns and wheat toast and Cinnamon French Toast! I normally never eat the toast but their bread was really good. I shared with my sister and both were a good portion for the two of us. I would go there again just to try more items on the menu. Excellent food-authentic British fare: bangers and mash, fish and chips. The sausage in particular had an excellent flavor. Generous portions for a reasonable price. Service was both friendly and speedy, with everyone helping each other out. You could ask any server and they all responded-they did not hand you off to anyone else. Also they cleared, brought your bill, and did not rush you out the door. Well trained staff considering this location just opened February 2014. Way to go, Annie's! read more

The food is good. It's hard to mess up bacon and eggs. My server was tremendously friendly and pleasant. But that all came to a screeching halt when out of nowhere the wait staff dropped what they were doing to simultaneously dance and clap to Pharells "Happy". Utterly ridiculous. The, what I thought was a friendly atmosphere, turned into a hokey cornball establishment. If you can't get the couple blocks up to Mo's then stay for the food. What a pleasant surprise! A deliciously delightful English themed restaurant. I had the Winston Churchill breakfast and it was wonderful. The generous portions of English bacon, bangers (English sausage) along with baked beans, tomatoes, eggs, toast and hash browns was delicious. The owner is a delight to talk to and the staff is also very nice and very attentive. We stopped here on our way home from San Diego and we will definitely make a point of going back even though it is about 50 miles from home. read more

Food is good and portions are large. Service is friendly and prompt. There seems to be a tbing about birthdays. They have a unique celebration but it takes over when it's performed. Upon entry noticed about 80% capacity and had to make eye contact with someone to get seated. Then we get put in a booth all the way in the corner. Toddler seat in the way and wasn't even attempted to be removed out of the way. Then waitress only brought in 2 menus when there was clearly 3 adults and attempted to confirm 2 menus were ok. Then our server Wendy came over after another person got us our coffee and water but didn't give us any silverware for coffee or any stirrers. Wendy's nowhere to be found. She comes in to take our orders and before we were done ordering, she starts putting away the menus a with no eye contact or any greeting or anything. Apparently, there's a 1 cup of coffee limit coz we never were asked if my table wanted anymore which we did. Dancing in front of everyone is more priority. So far no one has greeted anyone yet. Thought we'd tried this new place but not this one ever again. Rude and uncourteous. Starting to sense the race flag but who knows...everybody seems like their getting good service but us. Definitely a let down of an experience. I got the Rashel Omelet with egg whites...if there even were any. I think there was more oil on the plate than egg. Then aside from that, I got cottage cheese as a side in which they ran out and we're going to the store to get more. I told them not to worry about it so they took it off the bill. However right before leaving they asked if I wanted the cottage cheese still, so they brought it to me and up-charged me with a new bill. Come here all the time and cell service is bad not the fault of the business but when I asked the owner why he did not offer WiFi he said it's because it's a franchise hmmmmm! My friend has been going here several time and loves it. He invited me for brunch. I arrived before him and the hostess sat me down. He was running 5 min late. My first impression was a negative one. One of the Servers, with attitude, told me that I should not have been seated without the entire party being present. I have no problem with that . This is their rule and I respect that. My problem was that he was being rude about it. He should have handled the mistake with the hostess, and not make the customer feel uncomfortable and like they did something wrong. I spoke to the owner who is this lovely English lady. She apologized and spoke to the Hostess and Server. She made up for the unpleasantness by giving us a different server and chit chatting with us. We ended up having a very pleasant experience. The food is good with a varied menu. They even announce, out loud, first timers by putting on a fun hat on the customer, and they dance for the customers to lively music. Fun atmosphere. I recommend this place. read more

We must have caught them in a bad moment??? :( This is a review from an outsider. It was our first time going to this place and after a two hour non-stop drive with small children we decided to make this our stop to have breakfast. When we placed our drink order it had taken the waitress ten minutes to bring it to us since they were forced to dance . I rather would of had my drinks and friendly service over cheap amusement. Once we got our food it tasted like any other breakfast house i have ever gone to. Nothing special. The owner was aggressive and tbh i'd hate to work for someone like this, she even had the audacity to have everyone stop eating to congratulate someone that nobody else knew for jus being there or she was going to charge us Ihop prices. If it meant being able to eat in peace and with friendlier service? I will gladly take Ihop. At least t Ihop, you cant taste the batter in the pancakes. T We also had to witness an elderly man being aggressively talked to by one of the waitstaff which shocked my family. They were moving him from another table and the fat girl waitress stated " come on old man" in a not so nice voice and yeah I called her a fat girl because i dont tolerate that sort of behavior towards our elderly. Before we left after our "pleasant" waitress went to get our check, I had done a no no apparently by asking for another drink and her reply was " this is why I asked you if you needed anything before i left your table" I was shocked. I'm not one to leave negative reviews..but for this place..I wish I could give it 0 stars out of 5. This place is awful. I went here one morning and it was DEAD. No one was there except one other family, we sat down and we found out why. I ordered a sandwich with a side of fruit. The fruit was brown and it lacked in variety. Not to mention, after eating all of it there was a hair at the bottom of the bowl. The bread tasted like it was stale, but I still ate because I don't like sending food back.. On that day I swore that I would NEVER go back, but I did because my friend really wanted to try it. So I went back, and this time my experience was even worse. This time it was extremely crowded (Sunday morning). I don't understand why, I really don't. I sat down, my other party wasn't there yet but it wasn't a big deal to me because I take a while to pick my meal anyway. The menu here is completely all over the place, which made that task even harder. As soon as I sat down I felt incredibly rushed. My waitress came by and asked me where my other party was before asking anything else (she didn't even say hi..). I continued to tell her that she had to pick up her daughter and that she was on her way. She gave me the dirtiest look and said "well this is going to be a problem." and went to go talk to the owner. The owner came by and was trying to be polite, but still definitely was not. They wanted to make me leave because my other party wasn't there. 5 minutes later, my friend got there. This visit ruined this place for me, forever. I will never go back. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time going here, this is literally a restaurant you'd see on kitchen nightmares. read more
