The second meal took 1/2 hour to be delivered when most of us were done, and when we tried to get the manager's attention, 4 of us called "Sir" at the same time, and he turned around and focused on me to admonish me. This is a one and done place. I ordered online, with photos making the food look delicious. Unfortunately, the side of bacon that was supposed to be included (meaning I paid for it) was not provided. The side of gravy was in a tiny 1 oz container, so not enough to even taste. The jack and cheddar cheese grits had no noticeable cheese, but plenty of oil from melted cheese, making them greasy, salty and inedible. We had a really great first experience here on their opening day! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to how long we waited for our order. It was their very first day being open so I totally get it. They'll need to work the kinks out and whatnot. We needed some time to kind of look over menu options so we did ask our server to come back to take our order, but then we didn't see her for a good 10 mins after that. However she made up for it in personality alone because she was super sweet. The abe famous infused bloody marys that we ordered were amazing! They have a kick to them but not crazy spicy. They also come with a giant slice of bacon in them so if you're vegetarian make sure to tell them to not put it in there! Or ask for it on the side or something and give it to your bacon loving partner. I love that they have a legit allergy friendly menu. There's tons of options. Nothing vegan (besides a granola bowl) but also one of the most gluten free and vegetarian menu options I've seen on a speciality menu. The gluten free trio pancakes are delicious! I told her I wanted all 3 just plain gluten free pancakes but she brought me out a trio of 3 diff kind of pancakes. They were all still good though. I got potatoes on the side and they're probably some of the best breakfast potatoes I've ever had! They're uper crispy and fresh. My husband got the bacquezo omelette and said it was the best omelette he's ever had in his life lol. Bacquezo is basically queso with chorizo and bacon in it. Which to me sounds like a heart attack but to him it's a wet dream come true. I'm excited to eventually give them another shot. This restaurant is within walking distance from my house, so I was excited to have a breakfast alternative to the mediocre Big Biscuit. I was tempted to go when it first opened but had heard from a neighbor that they had not quite figured things out at the time. I went today (Saturday) around 11AM and was encouraged when I saw a few people waiting in line. Upon entering, however, I was surprised to see the restaurant was maybe half full with at least 10 people waiting. I was by myself so sat at one of the many open spots at the bar. I sat there for 15 minutes without anyone as much as saying 'hi'. During my time waiting like an idiot I noticed they were very understaffed and there was not one person who stood out to me as being in charge. The chicken sausage was delicious though. This place seemed pretty busy compared to the amount of staff they had working. Our server apologized multiple times for longer waits due to how busy he was. Overall, it seemed really loud in the restaurant for as small as it was. I very teetering on the brink of sensory overstimulation throughout my entire meal. This is my first visit and we received great service from Chris! She was attentive, professional and showed very welcoming customer service. I was gifted the Veteran Day special of French toast, eggs and extra crispy bacon and it was excellent. We have come back here twice as a family of 5 since my last review. I really want to like this place! The food is good and reasonably priced (except for the kids menu, more on that later), but the hostess service is consistently terrible. We joined the waitlist and arrived early only to be told the wait would be another 50% of the time quoted. While waiting, we see two parties of same or similar size just walk in and get seated immediately. We nearly walked out but were told we're next just in time. When seated, the hostess provides 3 kids menus... even to my 14 year old son. Sure, we're not tall but maybe take the time to ask. When my younger sons ordered from the kids menu, the portions were tiny. The menu is for 10 and under, but even my 6 year old nephew would have had to order a double portion to be content. The food was good, food service was slow but good otherwise, and I would be happy to come back with a party of 2 or 3, no kids. I'm sure we could have a great experience. If you like/love brunch, you have to go here. Matter of fact if you hate brunch you must go here before completely promising yourself never to go to brunch. (I highly recommend making a reservation though). A friend and I had brunch to catch up here, and I am so glad we did! Everything was amazing! My first sip I realized the price was not too high, let's just say I got my money's worth for the one drink! My friend got the Bloody Mary and let me try some. It was delicious! She had gotten it spicy, and let me tell you it had a kick at the end! We decided to get the biscuit beignets. I was a little worried. One reason is biscuits can be a little dense and two I'm picky about biscuits (we are talking refuse to eat canned biscuits). My first bite and all my worries melted away. The Jane served with them is so light and the biscuit dough is so rich and light, all while the outside have a nice crunch. We then decided to order Benedict's and share with each other. (If you can't decide and there are two of you I highly recommend). On my hash brown Benedict my egg was slightly over cooked (to be far though I just love the runny yolk). That's literally the only issue I could find. It was seasoned well and had plenty of the hollandaise sauce. I also tried the crab cake Benedict. Not only was the egg perfect on this one, the crab cake was delectable! Being land locked in KC I always worry about getting crab cakes. Some places skimp on it or even worse use imitation crab. These cakes were packed full of crab! What I really enjoy is that they make different hollandaise sauce for different dishes, it really makes the dish! I am already looking forward to taking more family and friends here, I just wish there was one closer to where I live. For now though it's worth the drive! read more

On our visit last week they greeted us as we were getting out of the car with an open door and asked us to sit wherever we were comfortable--lots of room to practice "social distancing". Our waitress informed us that the kitchen was "behind" (not anything out of the ordinary for a packed restaurant) so she gave us some beignets on the house, while we waited. They were out of the first two thing I ordered so I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast which was OK, but the bread was more dense that I expected (like it was a few days old or something.
