Stopped in for breakfast. Looks like we beat the church rush. There was 5 of us for breakfast. Let's start with we was disappointed with it. They messed up 2 orders and mine 3 times. I order the classic eggs Benedict with sausage instead of ham and no green onions states my eggs needs to be runny. Well it came out loaded with green onions. So I sent it back then it came back to me with out the potato's so they brought out a side. Then one of my poached eggs was cooked well done. Highly disappointed. They didn't charge us for it. My son got the honey bourbon pancakes which had good flavor but a tad sweet. And a egg sandwich which broke apart when he tried to put it together. His GF got the blackstone Benedict with cheesy grits. Well she didn't get the grits and gave her potato's. My granddaughter got the chocolate chip pancakes and they was too chocolatety for her. I decided to go here for a Friday morning breakfast before work with my boyfriend. We started off with 2 iced coffees, French vanilla and caramel. I think the caramel one was better but both were good. For breakfast I ordered the chicken and waffles with the honey topping on the side. I've had this before from the original ABE in winter park and it's become a favorite! I got the honey on the side because it is a little spicy and it has a very distinct flavor that I wouldn't want in every single bite but still very good. My boyfriend ordered the southwest scrambler with loaded potatoes on the side and it said he loved it and would order again. We both had so much left over food for another breakfast tomorrow. At the end the GM came around and had a little conversation with us and asked how our food was so it's nice to see management is attentive as well. read more

I was pleasantly surprised when I came to ABEC to have brunch with my family. The place was pretty packed, and we didn't have to wait very long to be seated. The food was fresh and very good, and their hot beverages (with some alcohol ) were made to order - and very delicious! The service is always great and the staff is very attentive and pleasant. Went here with my husband for breakfast one morning and enjoyed the atmosphere and staff. They were very attentive and the manager came around as well to ensure we were happy with everything that we ordered. My husband got the Hash Brown Benedict which he enjoyed and said was very delicious. I ordered the Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese pancakes. Although the pancakes were yummy I was a bit disappointed in the lack of lemon flavor and lack of moisture. They said they were "filled" but the goat cheese is just sort of sprinkled on top along with a few blueberries. I was a little let down by this. There was so much opportunity to make this a home run flavor combo. How about a blueberry compote or lemon curd? That would definitely make it less dry. Also, my bacon came out burnt and I had to ask for more and they weren't much better. If you like extra crispy bacon this is your place. We had family in from out of town and took them here for breakfast since last time we came it was a solid breakfast place. We were told 15 minutes wait but waited almost double.. sat down and got orders in and we're at 40 minutes currently and counting still waiting on our food. No complimentary nothing to make up for time, no coming by and letting us know what's going on, or if we need refills. We noticed 2 tables around us that came waaaay after our group already had their food. Asked the waited finally what's going on and he says there are 2 tables ahead of us. How is that that case? Is there just one cook in the kitchen? No idea how you can run a restaurant that way. Food finally arrived after an hour and one of the dishes was missing eggs and bacon, waited about 5 minutes and those came out. We came here to celebrate our 6 month anniversary, while we drop our kid of at UCF. We had an amazing waitress. The owner came to our table twice and chatted. He was an absolute gem. Now to the food! Everything was amazing from the mimosas to the breakfast foods and the bananas foster pancakes (highly recommend these!) since it was our first time we were treated to free Binet. They were great but even better with the banana foster sauce! Great services, excellent food, and very friendly staff. Will be back! read more

One more hour to have your food and last one to get your wrong bill! Way too horrible. Don't understand how it is still surviving! I would give this place 4.5 stars only because they do not offer (at least in the Oviedo location) espresso coffee. Otherwise, the food and the service are amazing. They have a wide selection of plates and they have specials not mentioned in the menu, so make sure to ask about them. I recommend trying the key west pancakes and the strawberry St. Germain mimosa. I went with my family very early on a weekday and it felt like we had the restaurant to ourselves... which was great. We noticed that it started to get busy around 9 am. Went to breakfast yesterday morning and arrived early. We were seated immediately and Luis, our server, arrived and took amazing care of us. He was kind, efficient, and knew all of the products well. He made great suggestions and made sure our coffee did not run out or even low. We ordered off their special brunch menu and didn't have to wait long for our food to arrive. Everything was perfect, but mostly our service was great. I've been here a few times and every time it's great food. The wait is long so you will want to join the waitlist. I love the mimosas and bloody Mary's. It's always a good time when we go. Well, I tried again and I wont' be going back!! There were 2 other couples there when we arrived. Took forever to get our food. I ordered crab cake benedict, the crab cakes were fishy and the eggs were hard boiled. I eat and make crab cakes often, these were not good!!!! I didn't even eat it all. My potatoes were cold. My husbands omelet was way over cooked and his city grits you pay so much extra for were cold! There prices are high and I expected a whole lot more. This place was really good when it first opened. I am extremely disappointed with my latest visit. My name was added to the waitlist an hour in advance. I checked in upon arrival and waited an extended time from what the hostess provided. The hostess attempted to seat me and my 6'3" tall husband in a corner booth that looked like the kids table, while we watched another party of 2 sit at a nice booth. Unbelievable, I thought. We have been taking out frequently for family in the area and we were so impressed with our brunch from Another Broken Egg Cafe. I have to say it has been one of our top to-go meals from getting everything right to fast and friendly service and of course the amazing food. We ordered the southwest omelet replacing the chorizo with avocado for my vegetarian daughter and was so happy that they got it perfect. We also got the breakfast potatoes, city grits, the brisket benedict, fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. Our order was ready for us for a quick, easy, safe pick up. Added a side of fruit last minute and they were gracious about having it put in while they processed the payment. Fruit is so fresh and perfectly ripe with mangos, strawberries, grapes, and other seasonal bites. The fried green tomatoes with a zesty mustard dipping sauce was such a special treat. Cooked crispy, perfectly done through, packed with flavor and was so happy these little gems were as fresh as if they were ordered for dine-in. The crab cakes are also amazing, packed with real fresh crab meat and the perfect blend of herbs and spices and not too much breading as often found in other restaurant crab cakes. City grits are always a favorite with creamy grits, cheese, bacon, tomatoes, and a few fresh scallions, worth the little upcharge. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the to-go containers ensured our food was kept warm without getting soggy. How I'd never been to this restaurant until recently is completely beyond me. Since visiting this location, I've been back a handful of times in a couple of months. This place is busy. If you're looking for quiet, intimate and slow-paced, this is not your place. But if you're looking for good food, great service and a variety of options for breakfast and lunch, this place is worth the wait. I always always recommend checking in on your way so you're ahead of the game on the waitlist but even if you don't, the hostess has always been pretty accurate on the time to sit. The inside decor is adorable, very rustic farm which adds to the homey feeling of the place. They have a bar where you can seat yourself, if you can find a stool, and order cocktails or food. Recently I tried their pomegranate mule and it did not disappoint. I've always heard the spiked cold coffees are great, though that's not something I would normally order. The first time I went I ordered the BLAST sandwich, which is an improved BLT adding fried green tomatoes and a finger-licking remoulade. It was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! I would order it every time except that next time I ordered the country fried steak eggs Benedict and have not been able to not order it every time. The steak is perfectly friend and the biscuits are deliciously fresh and the eggs are always cooked to perfection. The red onions add a delicious sweet crunch and the gravy brings it all together. I love the fact that you're able to reserve your spot in line using the Yelp app. When we got there we only had to wait 10 minutes so that wasn't too bad. Drinks: The drinks felt a little bit overpriced; each drink was around 3.99. The orange juice was pretty good. My wife ordered the raspberry iced tea and she definitely did not enjoy it. She had to ask for a cup of water instead. Biscuit Beignets: The Biscuit Beignets were pretty good. we had it as an appetizer. I definitely recommend ordering it at least once just so you can say you had it. Traditional Breakfast: It was a pretty standard breakfast it was really good. Lobster Brie Omelette: The lobster brie omelette was definitely the best thing on the menu. It was honestly the best omelette I've ever had. It was sweet which is really different when it comes to an omelette. I can really see myself ordering it again. Service: The managers are really nice. They introduced themselves at our table. Server made no attempt to offer an explanation. My friend ordered the chopped southwestern salad but it was not chopped. I ordered a chicken mango spinach salad. I had to pick out the mangos because they tasted like fish!?! On the plus side salads were very fresh. Enjoyed brunch here a few weeks back. Manager even stopped by several times to say hello.
