Average experience! Hostess and wait staff were professional and pleasant. Wait time fair for a Saturday morning. However the food was underwhelming and overpriced. Would not consider this place a great value for a brunch experience. My veggie delight omelet was dry and the items listed in the omelet did not enhance the flavor. The food was disappointing. Maybe not best to go at a time when it is busy. Here's an update! Customer service contacted me in regards to my experience. They offered a guest coupon to correct my experience. I was amazed at the prompt reply and the effort at making things right. That is the reason for me updating my star review. Haven't been back to the restaurant as of yet, but I feel as if they deserve a revisit for the next time I'm in that location. I love this chain, and this location does not disappoint. The drinks are delicious, and the food is killer. The portion sizes are on the larger side, which makes me happy considering it's not a cheap brunch! My only complaint is that the ham they serve is super super salty! read more

Ordered 3 shrimp and grits plates to go. Look at the photo I just uploaded. This is terrible. What happened? The bread looks pathetic and sad. Not to mention it was a bit hard. The portion size has decreased immensely. Had I not asked for lemon, we would not have received any. Broken egg may have lost 3, 3 year customers. We work off Morrison Parkway so both locations are rather close. First time to this location only because traffic wasn't too bad coming this way from my job. So we were in the area and wanted brunch and a brunch with mimosas so this was the perfect spot we found. We sat at the bar and the bar tender was very attentive and nice. A single mimosa is around 8.99. The cup is small so I don't think it's worth the price. The menu does offer a variety but looking at yelp pics of course, I decided to go with the shrimp and grits. My friend ordered some beignets which had a dipping sauce, they were really good. When the shrimp and grits arrived they looked delicious. However, I took my first bite and it really didn't have enough flavor. I surely had to add salt. After adding the salt it tasted a little better. The prices for the food are very reasonable. I would give this place another chance but I know I wouldn't order the shrimp and grits again. read more

My fiancé and I attended their soft opening the other weekend. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. The indoor space is bright and inviting, and I love the bar at this location! Overall, we really enjoyed our breakfast here. The coffee was good as always and my fiancé and I both tried new (to us) dishes. I ordered the pancake trio, which was perfect for me because I love to try everything! This way, I was able to try 3 different types of pancakes and it was only a dollar more than ordering 1 kind--and I also believe those only come with 2 pancakes. I ordered mixed berry, bananas foster, and lemon blueberry goat cheese. Honestly--they were all delicious! But I love the unique flavor of the lemon blueberry goat cheese. The pancake trio also came with eggs--cooked to order--and your choice of meat. To me they were your standard bacon and eggs. Good & what you would find at any breakfast place. Now, the star of this place was the shrimp and grits! My fiancé took one bite and just stopped and told me I HAD to try them. I believe the "spicy Tabasco low country reduction" had a lot to do with why this dish was so amazing! Sometimes I find shrimp and grits to be bland..but this was so flavorful and the shrimp was cooked well. Service...oh service! It was really good...except I think we got a waiter that was a first timer. Our waiter was pretty awkward--but I definitely won't hold that against this place because it was only their second day open! However, all the other staff and managers we encountered provided excellent service to us and other diners. Since we attended the soft opening, the meal was "free" but everyone was encouraged to donate money to The Drake House, a local charity. There was a retired teacher who tutors at the Drake House walking around and telling everyone about the services the Drake House provides. I love the Johns Creek location, but this one was the worst experience I've had. I'm honestly very disappointed. Our server Kiara M., was very rude and demeaning. She looked at us like we were a nuisance to her and it was very obvious she did not want to be there or interact with people. She had the worst attitude we have seen in any server and it really made us feel uncomfortable. Our food was also not so great. The chicken tenders in my biscuit were small... and I mean the size of a nugget. My friend's bacon was very rubbery and the bun was nearly rock solid, it was inedible. I love the food at other locations but I'm very disappointed with the experience we had at this one. This server needs further training and/or should not in an industry like this. read more

We were staying in Alpharetta for a few days, and because of the pandemic, our hotel didn't have breakfast. We grabbed snacks a couple of days, but decided to treat ourselves to a real breakfast our last day there, so we found this place near our hotel. It looks very nice - attractive layout and design, comfortable, welcoming. We were seated outside (at our request) on the patio. The very nice waitress, whose mask was below her nose most of the time, brought us menus and water, then gave us a bit more time to look over the menu. Nice menu, reasonable pricing. We finally ordered, then, we waited. And waited. And waited. After about 20 minutes or so, the waitress started coming by every 5 minutes to tell us our food would be right up. Eventually, I'm guessing 40 minutes or so after we ordered, she brought out our food. My companion's Cobb salad was great, but my omelet was WAY overcooked, and at best, luke-warm. They brought me an english muffin, although I had ordered whole-wheat toast. And, no condiments. No salt, pepper, hot sauce, butter, jam, nothing. We immediately asked for those things before realizing the food was cold, and asked her to bring my toast instead of the muffin. Then, we waited some more. I ate a bit of my omelet and realized just how bad it was. The waitress hadn't yet returned, and after about 5 minutes impatiently waiting for butter, salt, pepper, etc., I finally got up and went in to request that the manager come to our table. While I was waiting in the entry, I saw the waitress put my toast on the table, so I went back. The new toast was cold. I snapped. Just really pissed off. We hadn't wanted to spend 90 minutes on a simple breakfast, and certainly didn't want a cold meal of overcooked eggs and cold toast. The manager finally came over. I was less than my usual pleasant self, and really laid into him. Honestly, this is out of character for me, but seriously, when a patron's egg dish is taking so long, you don't let it sit before bringing it out when it's done. It obviously sat for at least 5 minutes before it came out. Then, the redone toast clearly sat. I don't know if it was the cook or the waitress, and don't really care....I've managed restaurants, and somebody screwed up, clearly not uncommon, based on the responses. The manager finally came over, took away my meal and went back to remake it. He brought out the redone meal 5 minutes later and comped our entire meal, which helped. The redone meal was quite tasty. I just wish they could have done it right the first time. If you read my reviews, I'm not that hard to please. Cold food, especially eggs, though, is my sore spot.... Oh, and I DID mention to the waitress that her mask needs to cover her nose, too. I'm a senior citizen and being cautious about the pandemic. Masks need to fit..... she wasn't doing it deliberately, but her boss should have said something and helped her get a mask that fit if she didn't have one. We would not go back, for sure. read more

Pre-Covid, this was one of our favorite breakfast places. Used to be consistently good. But unfortunately, it's really gone downhill. Food and service are not nearly what they used to be. What I loved was the coffee mugs, the serving plates and the decor, and although the food was bland, I will go back just to tried other items in the menu. Initial service was slow, but once we placed our order the food came out quick. I ordered Traditional Day Started, which was fried eggs with sweet ham and English muffin, I requested the eggs over medium and they brought me watery eggs at a place with that name I was expecting perfect eggs. My husband ordered the Sunrise Spinach Scrambler and it had an unnecessary amount of butter and not much flavor, my son ordered the Southwest Scrambler with flour tortillas and that was the best of our choices because it had chorizo in it and that gives lots of flavor to anything. We were staying at a nearby hotel and came here for breakfast one morning. First of all, the food is amazing. Honestly one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. It had very unique options that were creative, yet not overly outlandish. All members of our party of 5 loved their meal. The one setback is this place is expensive. It was almost a $100 bill for breakfast for 5. Yes, it was good, but not entirely worth the price in my opinion. Visited the alpharetta location and honestly the food is sub-par. Cons:I ordered the most basic thing for breakfast which was Fried chicken biscuit and a side of potatoes. The potatoes came out too salty and cold, thankfully i had the best waiter ever, he switched the potatoes out and within minutes i had hot and unsalted potatoes. Now to the main dish itself. The biscuit was too crunchy for me, almost burnt if i must say so, the gravy topping on the chicken wasn't enough and had to ask for extra gravy to cover the dryness of the biscuit and chicken. Pros: I visited on Tuesday morning so it was relatively empty and clean, i had the beignets as a starter and they were delicious and hot. Service was great, ask for Lamar if you visit this location. Went here for a birthday brunch with my family of 8. We've had breakfast/brunch at this location several times. The food is always good. Unfortunately , the service is definitely lacking in my experience, the past few visits. This is the 2nd time we've come for brunch & had to wait excessively to get our food after ordering. I didn't review the first time, but I am now because in addition to the long wait, once we got our food, a burger came with a long hair in it. After waiting for 10 minutes for the server to check on us, I had to seek out another server to assist. They put in a new order, but our server didn't even return to the table for another 5 minutes to take the bad one away & didn't even offer an apology for the unpleasant situation. The new burger took another 15 minutes to come out, & server didn't even offer to do anything for our displeasure & inconvenience. My son who had ordered the burger basically had to scarf it down because everyone else was finished. Very disappointing experience. Not sure I will return, at least not to this location. read more

I've seen so many "Another Broken Egg Cafes" that I was ready to pull the trigger and try it out. After all, the pictures look on point and the descriptions of the food do as well. Everything was "meh" and nothing hit the "expectations" bar IMHO. As a vegetarian, there weren't many options. Sure, I know I can take the meat off an item or two, but then there's a lack of protein. What about tofu? It's not on the menu. I asked to swap a few things out, and I felt as if it was like they were doing a favor for me. EATS I opted for the veggie omelet, no mushrooms, added black beans and tomatoes. So it had a southwest vibe to it. The meal itself was delish. Filling and everything was cooked perfectly. I was so surprised by the fruit bowl I got. ALL berries (raspberries, strawberries, and blueberries). I was SO happy about this. Usually, a fruit bowl option means the worst of the worst fruit, filled with melons no one wants, and old squishy grapes. A half order of the biscuit beignets comes with four (pretty) large beignets. There was so much powdered sugar on there we could have shared with half the restaurant. I get that beignets come with powder sugar, but not that much. WOW. Our server placed these down and walked away. We didn't get plates but luckily already had our silverware, so we dug in and made a mess. #YOLO that's the only way to go when enjoying beignets. We walked in right around 12:15. I should have known from the empty parking lot not to go in. We walked in and had to wait for someone to seat us despite the fact there were only about 8 diners in the whole restaurant. Furthermore, I ran out of water and coffee and had to wait again before I got a refill. Next, my daughter- who just had hip surgery-was hobbling out of the bathroom when one of her crutches caught a wet spot and she fell flat on the floor. At that point she was crying so we were done and were ready to go but our waitress never came out to check on us or give us the bill. My husband had to find another waitress to give us our bill. This is very sad. This use to be our favorite place to go to for special occasions. In fact, it was our daughter's eleventh birthday today. We will probably never go back. The employees clearly do not care about customers. And the food is not worth putting up with lousy customer care. Sorry there are just to many other restaurants that do care. Furthermore, in all seriousness if I had a grandma or anyone in fragile health- I would think twice before stepping in there with them. read more

This was an experience. I've visited this locations many times in the past as well as other locations in the area. And I can say, without a doubt, this was the worst experience I've had. If you look at my other reviews, I rarely give 1 stars but this experience really stood out. Even if I am less than impressed by the service the food can sometimes help keep a review at 2 or 3. But just wow. I came in to meet a coworker for lunch. I would imagine we walked in at 1:10pm. It took well over 5 minutes to be acknowledged by our server. While we are seated, the employees walked around us, and there appeared to be a male manager in a dark sweater who was "busy" at the time. Our server comes to greet us, and says that she'll be right back. She took another 5 minutes to finally turn around and give us the paper coasters for our drinks. We asked for a coke and a mixed drink. We ordered our food. Eggs and toast, and shrimp and grits with a side of sausage. I noticed my drink was ready, but no server to be seen. My coworker got up to go to the bar to get it from them. And then they brought the coke. It appeared that the manager seemed to notice an issue, but still never came to see us. A man and his child came in after us and ended up with their full meals before us. I had to ask another server for our food. It arrived around 1:40pm. The 1st batch of toast for my coworker was burnt, horribly. And her eggs overcooked. No butter was provided. She asked for both a new batch of eggs and toast... my shrimp and grits came out on a warm plate but even colder grits. I almost always order the shrimp and grits from here, The grits were so cool in some areas that they lumped together. There was a heavier level of oil/grease on the food. too. I had to remind her about my sausage, which was again on a warm plate with "warm" food. Then the butter came... The manager, was spending time speaking to a gentleman behind us, who also arrived after us, but he already had a full plate of food. The server at no point asked if the bill was separate or together. Bill was paid and I left a $2 tip. When leaving I asked at the host stand if there were comment cards, his very serious and dead pan reply was that no but they have coloring books...I get that its Valentines day but for a location that really was not at all busy and isn't even open for the rush of valentines day, this was disappointing. There are way better food options than here. Better Another Broken Egg locations. One right off Old Milton too. RAW EGGS BENEDICT?? DISHONESTY?? We went here the other day for a birthday celebration. Most of the food was good; however there were many issues that ruined my meal. First, their website indicates that on your birthday, you can get free pancakes. I attempted to receive these but for some reason was not able to get the exact code that my waitress needed to do that. However, she made it right by bringing a serving of beignets for the table. We ordered Bloody Marys which came without celery. For $11.29, you would expect it to have celery. I especially expected celery because when I have had bloody marys at other Another Broken Egg Cafe locations they had celery. We asked our waitress to ask the bartender if he had any celery, but she returned and said that they didn't have any in the restaurant. The food came and three out of five meals arrived correctly. I ordered an Eggs Benedict and so did another guest, but he ordered his poached hard. Both of our Eggs Benedict's came out with the egg white uncooked and runny. An Eggs Benedict is supposed to have the yolk runny but the egg white fully cooked. We sent them back for mine to be cooked normally and the other one to be poached hard. They returned and my guest's was hard like a fried egg which was the least of our worries. Then, I cut into mine and the inside was raw. The white was once again raw. This time the yolk was like a raw yolk when you first crack an egg. It was fully intact which was something I've never seen before in an eggs Benedict. That's how raw it was. I sent mine back again asking for the whites to be cooked and the yolk to be runny (which is how an Eggs Benedict should be made). My waitress informed me that she told the kitchen to cook mine poached hard because she believed that I wanted mine poached hard. I told her that I wanted it cooked like a normal eggs Benedict with the yolk runny. She clearly did not correct her mistake with the kitchen. The chef then brings out my poached hard Eggs Benedict. I clarified that I wanted it with the yolk runny like a normal Eggs Benedict. The chef began to argue with me about how it's really hard to have the egg whites cooked and the yolk still runny. Ummmmm... every other time I've ordered an Eggs Benedict it has been that way. At this point, we were done trying to convince the chef how to cook eggs correctly. At the time of payment, we were deciding what tip to give. The receipt gave recommended tip amounts for 18%, 20%, and 22%. The "18%" recommended tip was actually 22% of our total price. The "20%" recommended tip was actually 24% of our total price. The "22%" recommended tip was actually 27% of our total price. The receipt lied to the customer and purposely recommended a higher tip amount than the indicated percentages. If you go here, don't order the eggs Benedict unless you want it raw and make sure to do your own math on what tip to give instead of trusting the receipt's recommended amounts to be accurate. read more

We drive by here all the time shopping at Sprouts. Place was packed for Black Friday brunch. Used Yelp's in-line app and my beautiful wife and I had a table within 20 minutes. The menu has an eclectic selection of breakfast items (eggs, pancakes, waffles, omelets, fresh squeezed OJ) but also some Mexican items (huevos rancheros, chorizo, black beans), southern comfort foods (shrimp & grits, fried green tomatoes, biscuit and gravy) plus some healthy picks (fruit & yogurt, granola, veggie omelet). I opted for the chicken and waffle with chipotle honey syrup. Every bite was delicious. My wife had a sunrise spinach scrambler omelet. All items were cooked perfectly and brought out soon after we placed our order. Our server was Maria who was attentive and helpful explaining the menu items. This place also has a bar cranking out brunch favorite drinks (Mimosas,Bloody Marys, etc.) though we went with coffee. Matt was our server and he was awesome: he was very engaging with us all especially the kids. We (a group of three) went here for brunch today and were immensely disappointed. We waited 30+ minutes for a table despite the fact that tables just weren't being bused. The entire time we waited there was a dirty table outside. Then we sat down and ordered a pitcher of mimosas. That took forever. Long enough to order waters so we had something on the table. When we finally got the mimosa glasses all three we received had lipstick stains on them. All three. We pointed that out to our server and when he returned with "new" glasses one of them had a lipstick stain. The mimosas themselves were admittedly delicious and came in a variety of flavors. I ordered one of their seasonal meals, a brisket Benedict, and that sucker came out looking like beef jerky. Another of the party ordered crab cakes Benedict and they were burnt. For the cost, especially considering those mimosa pitchers were $32 and we're not in Atlanta, I would except some non leather brisket and some glasses without lipstick stains...twice. read more

He was fun to interact with and even took some of our food back since it was not up to his standard (ham slice was too small). This place is a great brunch spot that offers so many delicious plates! On this visit I strayed from my usual order Crab Cake Benedict or Fried Green Tomato Crab Cakes and ordered the Chilaquiles cause who doesn't love Mexican for breakfast! This plate definitely hit the spot for my Mexican cravings. It came with tortillas with guajillo sauce (aka mild sauce from dried chile), chorizo, Jack cheese, two over-medium eggs, red onions, radishes, goat cheese, cilantro and a lime. It also comes with side of sour cream and guacamole and served with black beans with goat cheese and cilantro. It was so delicious and very filling! Who brunches without a drink right?? I got the Tropical Sangria which is Malibu Coconut Rum, Canyon Road Pinot Grigio, Finest Call White Sangria Mix, pineapple juice and grenadine. It was pretty with the gradient look and very tropical tasting. I couldn't even taste the alcohol because it was so sweet, so I'm not sure it's worth the $7. Also you MUST order a side of biscuit beignets. Anywhere I see the word "beignet" I have to try and these do not disappoint. Much heavier than a true beignet from Nola, but a perfect southern take on it! So much powdery goodness and it comes with a honey marmalade dipping sauce. read more

My wife and I try a lot it different Sunday brunch spots, everything from $ to $$$. We recently discovered this gem, and everything about it is excellent. After just one trip this is one of our favorite spots. Most, if not everything seems to be house made. My wife had the carrot pancakes and had eggs and bacon, I had strawberry pound cake with eggs and sausage patties. The sausage is clearly house made and has magnificent flavor, the also have andoullie that we plan on trying next week. My pound cake French toast was legit, but my wife's carrot cake pancakes were next level incredible. It's a little out of the way for us, but it's worth it. There was a little bit of a wait, so we sat at the bar, a real legitimate bar with booze. The bartender Sabrina was so welcoming and pleasant, it made the experience even better. read more

Best skinny omelet in town! We ran into this place by chance and very pleased we stopped by. Not only did they serve up a mean egg white omelette with fresh herbs and goat cheese (if you like that kind of thing, which I do) and I was floored. It also came with an English muffin and their side fruit. Not just your wimpy cocktail fruit mix but more exotic fruits added to the mix like pineapple and pomegranate. I care about good quality food, as well as presentation, and they exceeded it. Oh! Can't forget their mini biscuit beignets with a side of marmalade jam *drooling. Great addition to my "skinny" omelet lol! In addition, great service, good crowd (regulars come here) and delicious food. I will be going here again very soon. I'm a brunch lover. I not a morning person which causes breakfast to get overlooked. So by the time I am alert and ready, brunch is a win-win! I ate here for the first time and was not disappointed. The wait time was minimal (8-10 min). I made a trip to the restroom during my wait. The restroom was grimy. It made me feel indifferent. It caused me to wonder if the kitchen was clean, paid a little extra attention to the floors and tables when I came out. Sorry, but the lack of cleanliness in the restroom brought on a little paranoia. I saw nothing that confirmed I should leave. After being seated, I ordered a coffee w/baileys which was excellent. I ordered my go-to dish, shrimp and grits and it was excellent as well. They were not stingy with the shrimp and the serving size was generous! Good job there! Yasssss!
