This dental office is a ripoff. Twice I've taken my father here for a teeth cleaning and twice they have done ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! They referee him to a different type dentist for a procedure, that their office, as a primary care dentist should do. And, this is according to Delta Dental who is his dental insurance. My father came here after DDS Huanag Gin from Vista Pkwy in Vista at Western Dental mistreated him and dropped the ball in the worst way. Today heaven is raining down on us! This DDS is an angel! My father has throat cancer and his treatment has been delayed the last two months until today! DDS said he will take care of everything today! So my dad is one step closer to getting his cancer treatment behind him. Now why couldn't DDS Gin in Vista take care of my father the way DDS Abraham has??? It started well when Dr Abraham did some work and then told me to come every 3 months for a cleaning, which I did for almost 2 years. Every 3 months, the entire staff was new.!! One new gal, who was really nice, told me she was just filling in for the day and would NEVER come back to all the chaos. Dr. Abraham can be quite rude once he gets your available insurance and can't talk you into any more cosmetic work. So I asked for a copy of my records 2 months ago and have been lied to by Rebecca two times and Christine office mgr. and another that they would mail or had mailed them but never have. Ignored, calls, and continued begging for my dental records!!! I will be contacting the California Dental Board. I've had some bad experiences with dentists in my past and am always very weary about trusting dentists since then. Some dentists will tell you that you have cavities just to drill you and make money! I trust Anthem Dental. Me and my husband both come to Dr. Abraham and have had nothing but great experiences. The hygienists are super nice and do thorough cleanings. Everyone is super friendly, cash prices are very reasonable, and they are honest about if you have cavities or not! (It's disgusting that I even have to mention that). They won't drill you if you don't need it. The place is modern, super clean, and they use high tech equipment. Horrible dental service, my granddaughter went to them for an annual checkup and she complained about a tooth and she was told by the dentist that he didn't see any problems or cavities. It continued giving her pain so I took her with my dentist and they found three cavities. The dentist even showed us the X-ray with the cavities. That proves to me that this dentist can care less about his patients. We will never set foot at this dental office again... read more

These people are conartists! I waited over an hour for a consult on my wisdom teeth and they didn't even clean my teeth meticulously. They told me I had EIGHT cavities, needed sealant on my teeth(i had $5000 work of sealant done on my teeth years ago and you can still see it, so that was a blatant lie), four wisdom teeth extractions, and TWO root canals... I said no and they blamed me for not listening to them and wouldn't let me leave until I signed the forms but I refused too and just left because I had a weird gut feeling. Afterwards, I visited two other dentists(both with better credentials) to get follow ups over the span of a few months and they both said I don't need root canals, I just have sensitive teeth, no cavities, because my sealant is perfect and covers all my grooves, and only needed three wisdom teeth out. Waited a little over 30 minutes to be seen which is not bad. The dental tech got mint polish in my eye which would be prevented if I had glasses on. Which I was given a pair after the incident. I recommend always providing glasses, but the dentist stepped in and helped me clean my eye and finish the treatment. Still going back because overall nice experience! Update: had a filling done and it was quick and painless! I even got a follow up call to make sure everything even well! I had 5 fillings done in 4 hours, so it was a lot to get done but I was determined. Dr. Abraham and Bryne were super patient with me when my anxiety hit an all time high and helped me get through it and finish it to the end. Dr. Abraham is the nicest dentist I've ever had and I appreciate everyone as well as Bryne and all the staff for also making my root canal and cleanings a breeze and pain-free the last two times I was there. My husband and I were searching for grocery/convenient stores because he forgot his toothbrush. We seriously were driving for 10 minutes trying to find a place. All these hills... how does anyone see anything?!?! I decided to just stop in and see if they had one for sale. They didn't but she was nice enough to give me a toothbrush sample which was so kind of her to do. She could've sent me on my way but she didn't. Now that I've been going to this dentist for about a year. I don't really get their process. They want to do all the major work first (filling rootcanals) and I still haven't gotten a cleaning even though I've been there for a year. As someone who's been going to the dentist since they were child, I've always gotten cleanings and x-rays first. I even told the dentist that I hadn't been to the dentist in years and I still haven't gotten a cleaning yet 1 year later. Every time I ask the front desk lady about a cleaning she just kind of smiles and then change its the subject. One day I went in for a root canal, I knew I needed two of them. One is an older one which needs to be replace and thought we were doing that one first. Nope, they did the new one first and left the old one and will not clean my teeth until I spend another $975 to get it replace. They didn't even tell me what tooth was being worked on until I was already preped in the chair. I should have spoken out against it but I did not. They seemed all right up first. Please read this. Anthem is an establishment that will make you feel safe and right at home ... The staff is friendly, the doctor comes off as experienced and knowledgeable, but this is not the case. I initially went in for a regular check up, we were looking for a different dentist and read the reviews. The doctor completed a dental examination, he made me feel safe and recommended I return for a cleaning and a cavity filling that had been in observance at my previous dental office. I went in for the cleaning, and as the hygienist was "settting up" (she should have been prepared for this appointment) I mentioned teeth whitening. Before I knew it, the hygienist had invited the doctor into the appointment to discuss teeth whitening options. This took about 30 minutes, after respectfully declining, the hygienist, I felt did not scrape my teeth enough and it didnt feel like a fresh cleaning at all. This "cleaning" appointment took all of two hours. Now, the cavity appointment. On this day the customer service was terrible. I was on time, they took me in and sat me in the room for about fifteen minutes, I asked for the doctor, the doctor finally went in. He was not prepared, the hygienist kept going in and out of the room, getting him different tools that were needed. The filling should have taken fifteen minutes or so (based on previous fillings) instead, this "filling" took about forty minutes... it was painful and uncomfortable. I remember thinking the doctor had ran into "issues." It took him a LONG time to get this done. After he was finally done, the doctor said I should be "back to normal" within two weeks. He said if I had pain or discomfort I should go in to see him. I thought this was odd because I should not have had pain or discomfort after a cavity (based on previous experiences). This appointment should have taken 30 minutes or so, instead it took two hours. A couple of weeks passed, I was experiencing pain and discomfort... could not eat on the side where the "cavity had been". I have a history of bells palsey and felt, and thought, half of my face was going numb again. I had major heachades and my tooth (where cavity was) felt sensitive and it hurt to touch. I went back to my initial dental office and had them check me out... turns out the doctor at Anthem drilled too deep and hit a nerve. I am in need of a root canal, with insurance I have been quoted at $1,200. This is an expense that I did not need to make, I cant afford to make. Please dont go to Anthem. The doctor is definitely not experienced and their service is terrible. read more

I've always liked coming to Anthem Dental. I had an issue with how their staff handled giving me a referral to another dentist in an emergency, when they could not help me because their office was closed. For whatever reason, they did/would not give me a recommendation for another dentist, which I felt was wrong. My son was in a lot of pain, and he was coming home from school because of it. I was upset. I voiced my thoughts and Dr. Abraham called himself to try and resolve the issue. He spoke to my husband, as I was too irritated to speak with them, but the office persevered in trying to make amends and rectify the situation. Today they even sent chocolate covered strawberries to let me know that they were still thinking of us. Initially, I switched dentists, however, I appreciate the lengths to which this office is willing to go to in order to provide good customer service. We all make mistakes and hopefully this will have turned out to be a big misunderstanding! I will be calling my insurance right away and switching back. Left this dental office years ago after three errors with my scheduling. Had cards filled out with my appointment time and reminder emails/texts, I would show up for the appt and was told it was at a different time. What was the final nail on the coffin was I kept complaining about bad breath over a year (3 appts), was told there was nothing wrong. After the last schedule mix up, I decided it was enough. Changed dental offices and guess what my new dentist found, an infection.
