Went to this dentist from age 7 -18 he is a penny pincher, and did not have any assistance working with him which is highly unusual. He should not be working with children period. He would sometimes not wear a mask and be breathing on your face. Would make crack jokes and ask personal questions. Did little to no preventative care. And would try to do everything himself when most dentists would send you elsewhere for specific procedures. My crowns were terribly made and didn't fit right, and he doesn't care about metal allergies. Instead of waiting till you fell asleep to start a procedure, he'd start while you are awake with minimal pain relief, then would use velcro straps to strap children down to the chair. If I could, I would put zero. Its weird to wrote a review for a dentist but some complaint needs to b told. I went to his wifes office first in placentia to get my teeth cleaned and later was sent to his office bc my wisdom teeth were impacted. I feel like they were very unprofessional and didnt contact my insurance because of how shady everything was quickly done. When I went to anthony wongs office, the receptionist asked for my insurance and anthony took me in. I thought it was strange how they didn't wait n check my insurance first before doing the oral surgery. Surgery was fine but what irritated me was that the top right side of my wisdom tooth still had chunks stuck in my mouth. I waited weeks and weeks for those pieces to fall out. It was very unprofessional of the dentist to allow me to leave without finishing the removal. And what was more irritating and unbelievable was that a couple weeks after my procedure, the dentist called saying that I owe them another $100 because my insurance didnt cover some of it. I paid $400 already and you expect to come back and give you more money bc of your mistake? I dont think so. Cant believe I ever went there. His wife in placentia took my teeth pictures and cleaned my teeth within a quick 30 mins and I should have known better. they didnt want anything else but quick money. If I could give a higher rating I would. I was referred here by a friend because my family's insurance changed, and also our previous dentists were recommending other procedures that we weren't too sure about so we came here for a second opinion. Upon arrival I was told that I didn't need to do a root canal, and that my top two wisdom teeth eventually needed to come out, but since I wasn't in any pain, there was no rush (I already had my bottom two removed years ago, different dentist). I ended up getting them removed two weeks later and honestly have never been more impressed. I've always been terrified going to the dentist, ever since I was a little kid, and this time was no different. I remembered the last time I had my top two removed, the anesthesia shot hurt, even after the local anesthesia was applied, so I was bracing myself. He applied a generous amount of the local one, and divided the anesthetic into three shots per side. It didn't hurt at all, and I'm a freaking chicken so y'all know how huge this was for me. He waited 5-10 min for the anesthesia to set in and I KID YOU NOT PULLED EACH TOOTH OUT IN 3 SEC. There was no pain, just a slight discomfort/pressure that obviously happens when you yank out the big boys. The whole thing lasted 15 min, and 99% of that was waiting for the anesthetic to work it's magic. And I write all this 15 min after the extractions so I'm pretty much still sound of mind. I use to work for Doctor Wong for about 6 years I very highly recommend him he's very patient with me and my family. His wife and him are the ones who can give me a shot without having to put me to sleep. At the time when he started seeing my kids and I my youngest son was in kindergarten and my oldest son was in the 1st grade and now my sons are 33 and 34 years old and we still go and see both Doctor Wong's they are both highly qualified and very patient. read more

Caring staff. Dr Wong is honest and will not recommend what you don't need. He explains your problem and even draws a picture of your tooth so you can have visual understanding. When I was in my 20th I met Dr. Wong when he was a dental student at NYU. I remember seeing him and my intentions were not to pay his bill. Long and behold God used him in my life, that a few years later I gave my life to Christ. I was blessed to work and live with his precious family and he got me involved in medical missions. Like most people I hate the thought of going to the dentist. Growing up Ive had some horrific experiences. So I was so excited when I met Dr. Wong through friends and family. The office manager Laura is very kind, professional and personable. I feel at home considering Im in a dental office. I cant say enough great things about Dr. Wong and his staff. Ive known Dr Wong for over 10 years. He is the most caring and talented doctor Ive ever met. I am a stay at home mother of three children. My husband is a self employed contractor. Over the years, we don't always have health/dental insurance. Paying cash for procedures that I need done, it helps that Dr. Wong doesn't force any procedures that is unnecessary. His prices are very reasonable. When discussing treatment options he is very clear and thorough. He is very good in answering my questions and concerns. He is straight forward and attentive. He is also always optimistic and doesn't use fear to pressure you to do unnecessary dental work. I have very low pain tolerance. Recently I came in for a routine cleaning and check up. Ive also had a crown done and it looks great and it is natural looking. He is gentle and its true, you laugh your way through a procedure. He is very easy to talk to and has a very caring demeanor. He takes the time to ease your concerns but yet very respectful of my time. Ive never had to wait to see him. Being a mother of school aged kids, I don't always have much time. When he says a procedure will take 15 min or an hr. he is pretty accurate. I get in and get out and go on with the rest of my day.
