My husband and I went today for lunch for the first time. I had the blackened rockfish and it came with rice pilaf, roasted veggies and a side of a Cajun aoli sauce which was very tasty. It paired well with the fish. The only I wasn't fond of was the rice pilaf, it was just ok. But the fish was seasoned perfectly! My husband had a Caesar salad with soup that had salmon, mussles and a few other things, I can't remember but he loved his lunch! We are looking forward to our next visit. Great food! Spectacular taste, presentation, and portions! We visited for dinner on 9/18/19, a Wednesday, and were seated immediately despite not having a reservation. The gluten-free options are well-marked on the menu. Why not five stars? There were two anomalies during our visit, probably one-time irregularities. First, after our server introduced herself, she did not return to our table to take our order for 20 minutes (estimated from email timestamps while waiting). We watched her work other tables, fill water glasses, and banter with other customers. Eventually, she returned to our table to take our order, and after we asked her about the delay, service got much better. The second anomaly is that after we placed our order, the server returned to our table about 5 minutes later to tell us that the restaurant had run out of all gluten-free pastas. Subsequently, the GF member of our party selected a different dinner item from the menu. Parking in the area is a puzzle for first-time visitors and not the fault of the restaurant. There is a city parking garage two blocks away with free evening parking, but the sign that says free parking is small and difficult to read while driving. Google Maps guided us through the bus lanes of the ferry terminal next to the restaurant before we abandoned Google Maps and struck out on our own to find free street parking a few blocks away. read more

The menu is small. I went with my family because it was fathers day, my moms bday, my brothers graduation. There was one chicken option and, one burger option. My dad speant $62 on a steak he did not like. Granted steak is on the dinner menu. I ordered the chicken. It was sweet & grainy. It was garnished with fried wontons that were sugared. Some of the rice was hard as rocks. My brother got half way through his burger and was like wheres the beef? Our waters were never refilled. The General Manager should be fired! We returned on the hope that this time would be different. Same ol' here! Greeted by a less than gracious hostess, walked passed un-bussed tables (three) to be presented a table with water and food on the chair seats and lettuce on the floor. The table next to us was not bussed the entire time we were there - 40 minutes. Waiters serving and bussing without washing. The hostess was bussing and resetting without washing and, tossing wet dirty towels here-and-there on various countertops. The bartender running from one end of the place to the other with food and drink orders - obviously strained and overworked. We waited 30 minutes for two cups of chowder that never arrived before I called it quits and asked to be billed for the drinks and small plate appetizer. I asked to speak to the manager about why things haven't changed since my last complaint? Spoke with some lady with very little personal skills, no introductions, making every excuse imaginable when addressed. This lady said "I should just leave if I'm not happy with her service!". I again asked to speak to the General Manager. Guess what? The same fella, no introduction so I don't have a name for you, that made all the apologies a year ago is still the GM. I told him of our experience and his remarks were "That's just not right...these things shouldn't still be happening!" I replied "It's a simple matter of proper training". I also said we will NEVER return. I will share my experience with anyone who ask me. What a damn shame too! Local family business being run to the ground... This is NOT fresh seafood. Crab cakes were horrible!!! Full of grease, cooking was uneven and the stuffed center tasted like mayonnaise right of a jar. Ahi was over cooked and had the texture and flavor of Tilapia or catfish (mushy). Coconut "Prawns" were small and over cooked. Two entree's, one appetizer and one drink (Mojito) $116. I don't know why I avoided Anthony's for so long... I guess because I'm a yelp elitist who's snooty about chains and places that are "only" 3.5 stars. Sigh. But regional chains are local businesses that grew from being very successful. For a reason. Every time we've gone, all the food and the whole experience have been consistently 4 stars at least. The panoramic water view is excellent, and service is great. I love that they feature seasonal local ingredients in creative ways throughout the menu. Anthony's was a preferred destination meal while occasionally returning to the area after making many stops as a resident at nearly all their restaurants along Puget Sound. After making recent reservations we left really disappointed with an incomplete dinner (no bread), and poorly prepared chowder, salad and vegetables. Giving it another shot the following night, we got the same results, but this time with the London Broil. This Anthony's has lost its touch. We arrived at 5pm on Easter Sunday and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Hawaiian Ahi Nachos while hubby ordered Alaska Tacos. My food had the perfect medley of flavors - a little kick from the ginger, sweetness from the mango, blending well with sesame oil. I'm not a wasabi fan so I skipped it but hubby said it was even better with the wasabi aioli. For dessert, we had Melting Chocolate Cake. It was ok, I've had better. I have never left a bad review before but tonight's dinner and service were below par. We booked our table using the open table app and my fiance put on the booking it was for a special occasion. We got engaged today! :) the service was fine before the food came but after the food arrived it was abysmal. The food itself was bland and decidedly average at best. The waiter never checked in to see how dinner was going, if he had he would have known that we were unhappy and might have offered us some salt and pepper to try and mask the blandness of the food. For the price of my halibut and my fiancés steak we could have had an amazing meal at Jaks. Although there is a lovely view of the water the atmosphere did not measure up. But I am very pleased to share they delivered on all points. Prime location on the water, attractive atmosphere, the type you'd feel comfortable dressed up or casual. Absolute most pleasant staff, very good entrees, and even a local flare of fun drinks. I had the plank cooked salmon and he had the rock fish. Both of us very happy with our choices. Stayed nearby at the Hampton Inn and decided to go nearby for dinner on Tuesday. turns out being an early diner pays off! They have a sunset special of a 4 course meal before 6pm for 19.99. Started off with a bay shrimp cocktail, a cup of Anthony's chowder, Manila clam linguine and Bailey's Chocolate mousse. Great portions and service was steady. This review is based on drinks at the bar only. I'm a very specific drinker and I like what I like. I happen to be at an event in the banquet hall next door but elected to go to Anthony's for drinks because the banquet hall did not have my choice of tequila. I had been to this place a handful of times for a drink before catching the Bremerton ferry but tonight the bartender that night was amazing. I can't remember her name but she works Thursday through Saturday I believe. Best service I have had in that place to date along with my drink made perfectly without have to repeat myself or request them to fix what I asked for! After having trouble deciding where to go for dinner, we took the kids to dinner at Anthony's for dinner tonight.... believing we'd get a quality meal as we always have before. We were seated promptly, brought water right away, and our orders were taken quickly too. Since our kids our young, we were there when the Sunset Dinner was offered... 4 courses for $26 before 6pm. Then things went down hill fast. Our first course came out in an ok timeframe, but was definitely not the quality we've experienced in the past. Things didn't get better from their. Our 3rd course/entree actually took about 45 minutes... and wasn't even warm or correct. Needless to say. We don't see ourselves going back. So disappointing! read more

I used to bartend so I don't like banging on bartenders but it was hardly "hi - glad you're here" Ate on the patio a week ago and the waiter was awesome as was the food. I'm on the fence about this place. It is nowhere as nice as Seattle Anthony's. The place was pretty dead when I went. I think the service is a little "Bremerton". I didn't love the Moscow Mule (I need a bit of ginger in it,). I am not sure that the oysters were super fresh (they were a bit icy from being frozen). With all this complaining, I do have to complement their desserts and the view. The desserts were hands down, incredible. The chocolate brownie/molten chocolate cake was wonderful. They have a really nice ice cream as well. If you're in Bremerton (as I am from time to time) try this place out. I wouldn't cross on a ferry for it though. read more

The view is excellent, the food was delicious, in my opinion it's our most preferred restaurant on this side of the Narrows Bridge.

Really enjoyed this luxe restaurant in a prime location on the Bremerton waterfront. All of the food that we had was spectacular. Started with the calamari, which had the ideal balance of crispness with soft texture. Then, it was on to the wild-caught king salmon for my companion and the northwest duet (salmon and halibut) for me. Both dishes were utterly delicious. For dessert, we had the blackberry cobbler. The blackberry filling was excellent beyond words. So good, in fact, that I had to eventually ask the waitress to take it away for fear of devouring my weekly allotment of calories in a single dish. The only thing that kept me from giving Anthony's that fifth star was the cleanliness. The floor under our table was particularly sticky, reminiscent of those old dollar-movie theaters where you could enjoy a movie that had already run its course in the premier theaters but you risked having to leave your shoes behind because they never bothered with mopping up the floors. It was that bad and this was the kind of sticky that can only be achieved with long-term neglect as opposed to merely an errant spill of soda from the previous party at the table. Needless to say, that was pretty gross and tempered what was otherwise an exceptional evening. Very high marks for attentiveness of the waitstaff and also a delightful blackberry spiked lemonade cocktail. Sure hope that this eatery improves their care taking of the floors to reach the next level. read more

Never fear HAPPY HOUR is 3-7pm seven days a week AT THE BAR only. They have a small selection of $5 entrees and drinks. CRISPY CALAMARI CEASAR (Happy Hour): Was a fair sized Ceasar salad with a huge helping of fried calamari for only $5. I was planning on getting 2 happy hour items for dinner, but I found myself full after just the salad accompanied with a glass of red wine. I waited until the day after to write this cause I wanted to let my frustration with this place simmer down. But I wasn't very impressed. Location/ambiance inside was great. Service was horribly slow though! We had a group of 12 so I get there was a lot to do but our server walked by probably 8 times before we were able to catch her eye to ask for something. With as long as the wait for the kitchen to make the food was you would think the priority would be drinks and apps but it took FOREVER to get just a beer. Cocktails were good! Probably best gin drink I've had (Bitter Bees) but there only 1 bartender for this giant place! Then when the food did come out. We had a lovely waitress named Laredana, pronounced Laura-Donna. She was helpful with wine pairings and described each dish we inquired about so descriptively. Made it hard to choose. I had the lingcod with the berry compote topping. It was fabulous. And I am a fairly new fish eater. I paired it with a Columbia Valley Merlot, per Laredana's recommendation. My husband had the wild salmon and was equally happy with his choice. We cleaned our plates! The coconut prawns as an appetizer were fabulous. You must start with these. Tough to review. Great location with classic elegance and a fantastic view. Had lunch with salmon tacos, chowder and cocktails. Made it halfway through the overly moist taco before I found the salmon, but then good. Chowder is solid but just a little salty and needs some vermouth or white wine to thin it and give that elegant special touch. Cocktail was a nicely made, mellow Negroni with quite a kick. Yum.
