They said there was a new statewide rule that prohibited restaurants from accepting vertical IDs as valid identification, even though this has never been a problem. This would be our second time trying this place and yet again they never fail to disappoint . We arrived at 8 mins till 1;00 pm and they refused to open the doors till exactly 1:00 pm . That left a lot of people and elderly out in the cold. They do not serve brunch only limited lunch items which are kind of disappointing . Our server was nice and very happy to be there but for the rest of their staff was just the opposite . Not horrible but not great either I ordered the grilled Halibut but it wasn't grilled it was i think it was steamed or something the sides of mash potatoes and asparagus were better than the fish, also ordered the clams that were just ok look if I am paying over $100 dollars for a meal it should be better then ok. read more

Visited here with friends for a birthday party and, while impressed with our perfect seat, wasn't all that impressed with the food or the prices. I had the hardest time finding something fresh on the menu to eat which surprised me for a high end seafood restaurant but I did end up eating some yummy prawns but for the price, I wasn't impressed. The restaurant was nice and some of the others enjoyed their food but, overall, I expected more since I'm all about the food so it's most likely one and done for me since they're are other options in Bremerton on the boardwalk. I was disappointed but it's been quite a while since I've hung out on the waterfront there and may just go back for Happy Hour one of these days if I end up in the area. Atmosphere here is great. A wall of windows overlooking the water. Locked at the Bremerton Ferry Dock. We ordered a glass of wine and were pleased that the waiter opened a fresh bottle at the table, because the one at the bar was almost gone. I personally like the Oregon Pinot Gris, but their wine choices were limited to Oregon & Washington vineyards. I did not see any Californian or International wine choices. But they are a seafood restaurant, not a winery. Of course, we started with a cup of clam chowder (yummy) and then we had crab toast served with a Asian slaw. While this was very tasty, I was little disappointed that the shrimp were more prominent than the crab. Was tossed between this a actual crab cakes... next time crab cakes. We didn't try dessert, but their local berry desserts look delicious. Also some local berry cocktails were available. Definitely would go again. read more

Although the outdoor seating was closed today, it was a wonderful indoor eating experience. The COVID-19 safety measures were followed very well. The service was fast and friendly, and the food was amazing! We were not terribly hungry, so we got a few little things and they turned out to be almost too much! The clam chowder was a bit heavy on the potatoes, but overall some of the very best and the salad paring was my favorite. The kids had pasta, and they raved about it. The ambiance was great and the bathroom experience was pretty awesome too. They take the whole fish restaurant to a whole new level isn't his place, and it makes it so much fun to be inside. Very disappointed. Made reservations based on the 4.6 star rating on opentable. I'm not sure if this was just a very bad night or if those reviews aren't real, but... I ordered a classic gin drink which tasted like lemon water (he must have forgotten the gin, simple, and skimped on the lemon) . We ordered a dozen fresh oysters which had been shucked so poorly that each one has multiple large pieces of shell which ruined the whole experience. The steamed clams lacked any flavor at all and didn't even come with bread, but I wouldn't have wanted to sop up that flavorless liquid anyway. Lastly the coconut shrimp was very greasy and so overcooked that you could barely bite off a piece. My husband called it an overpriced "McGrath's" which seemed like much too high of a compliment based on the food and drinks we were served. On top of that the kitchen and the wait staff were fighting so loud that even we knew the cook didn't have time to bread the sole so he was telling waiters not to sell any. Avoid. read more

Okay so I've lived in kitsap for almost 20 years now and all the while this restaurant has repeatedly come up whenever the conversation of good food comes up. I have to say I wasn't impressed... the ONLY reason they received 3 stars is because they serve trout (it was delicious), which is oddly rare to come across. Our waitress was actually the bar tender. She was not very pleasant; all business when she took our order and delivered the food, cause that's about all she did. Never once asked if we needed refills on our drinks, didn't question why the scallops weren't touched. Unfortunately heard the table behind us complain about their food and their bill was comped. Maybe they were having a bad day I don't know but I do know that it's way too pricey of a place to have a bad day! Cause I'm not willing to go back and spend that kind of cash to hopefully have a good experience even if they do serve trout! Oh and it was my birthday, had she interacted with us at all we would have mentioned that but she didn't allow us that opportunity. read more

Beautiful view, crab was locally caught. Took my bff there and she enjoyed her dungenous crab a lot. She said it was very meaty. I had the burger which was about an inch thick with fries that were mediocre. The curry cauliflower topped in tomato sauce was good. I would return. Martini gin was delicious. read more

I knew this was going to be a slow experience from the minute we walked in. We were in town for a wedding and wanted to grab a quick bite before the festivities. Unbeknownst to us, Anthony's only has the dinner menu available starting at 2pm on Sundays. Uhhhh....what? 4pm I can understand, but 2pm? Really? Anyway, we were told it would take 10mins to be seated, even though the restaurant was fairly empty and there were tons of tables. I couldn't comprehend why until I saw the speed at which one girl was busing the tables. We stated we were in a rush, so they ended up being able to accommodate us. Given we weren't looking to eat a giant meal, we ended up with a few orders of the fish & chips and the blackened salmon tacos. The fish & chips were fresh and fried nicely. A bit under-seasoned, but decent overall, along with a side of fries. The salmon tacos were also ok and came with a side of tortilla chips and salsa. Absolutely stumbled upon this fantastic spot by accident. My first trip to WA and my hampton innnis right next door! Waterfront views of the sound watching the boats and the ferry coming in and out! All courses were excellent from the calamari (not just rings!) to the chowder coplemented by bacon to the best salmon tacos i have had. Service has become total and complete crap. My husband and I have been to this location many times. We drop at least $125 every time we go. But the last 3 times have been sub par at best and today was the straw that broke the camels back. We went in and asked to be seated at the bar. The hostess said she would have to check because the "bar tender was leaving" (at 2:30 in the afternoon??)Although odd.. that was not the issue. What was the issue was the extremely rude employee in the bar who screamed across the restaurant "NO, they cant sit here!" The hostess about cried.. (she was actually sweet). But that nasty employee with ZERO tact is why we will never come back. This person was rude and embarrassing. A simple "I'm so sorry, but we aren't seating anyone at the bar right now" would have sufficed. Hire some people with a shred of class. Maybe pay your hostess better for putting up with rude waitstaff..I've worked customer service jobs for years. I know it can get rough.. but the rudeness of this employee was not warranted at all. Service has been going downhill the last year. We left and won't come back nor will we recommend this place to anyone. read more

The manager is rude and not welcoming. It almost felt that he did his best to unwelcome us. Started by we can't seat you without reservation (the restaurant was half empty), then outside in the sun (with 4 seniors) then inside with 3 tables for our party of 12. We agreed to all that then he changed last minute and we inquired, his answer was: "I make the decisions here" I am not sure how restaurants with managers of this attitude stay in business..
