My friends and I ended up sharing four slices and we were so full from it. 1) Pistachio: 7/10 2) Matcha: 8/10 3) Black Sesame: 9/10 4) Hokkaido Milk: 7/10 Overall, what I liked about these slices were that they weren't too sweet and it wasn't too heavy. We ended up splitting this and were full from them (ate it for lunch). It was a bit creamier than I had expected but the crepe layers were so delicately put together. You can really taste each individual layer. I think what would have been better is if we left it out to thaw more because it was hard at some parts. My favorite slice has got to be the matcha. TL:DR - Delicious cakes that are insta-worthy! I needed a special for an after proposal party. Based off of a friend's recommendation I chose Anton SV Patisserie. They are a crepe cake business that services the bay area. I had never heard of them before, but their cakes looked amazing and so I had to try them. Ordering was an easy process, just go to their website, select the cake you want, and pay. You can have the cake for a small fee, or pick it up from their main location at no cost. I chose the combo crepe cake, and you can pick up to 5 flavors for the cake. I went with matcha, hojicha, black sesame, tiramisu, and hokkaido milk cream. The cake is 7.5 inches in diameter and before tax it's $108. Picking up the cake was a breeze and before long we were digging into the cake. The texture of the cake is a perfect balance between soft and creamy and a slight firmness. It holds together well and doesn't fall apart into a mess when cutting through it. This is important, because what's the point of getting a crepe cake if you can't see the layers as you eat it. You might as well be eating bread pudding. The flavors themselves were also incredible. Again a perfect balance between sweet and creamy. It didn't have a sugary sweet flavor like cake, but resembled a refined pastry instead. Some people commented that the tiramisu had a strong flavor of alcohol, but I didn't mind it. The party was 15 people in total, and this cake was never intended to feed everyone. For example, last month, March 2024, the special of the month was pandan which surprisingly was really tasty. My personal favorite is the hokkaido milk flavor. It's a very unique flavor that is enhanced with white chocolate shavings on top and crunchy dark chocolate balls in the middle. The balance of chocolate and texture makes it my favorite. From there, there is a door with a curtain and you just let someone know you're there to pickup, but you never go inside a bakery--someone brings your order out to you from behind the curtain. Felt almost illegal trying to pickup dessert lol. Now to the dessert--the mango panna cotta was good but it wasn't the best panna cotta I've ever had. That being said it gets the job done if you're craving a creamy dessert. -The fruit tarts were also ok, nothing special but definitely a fruit tart. My favorite part of a fruit tart is the crust base and this one didn't seem to have much of a buttery flavor but again it gets the job done if you're craving this type of dessert. My husband and I are big millie cake fans and wanted to introduce our friends to it. I ended up getting pistachio, hokkaido, black sesame, and some fruit tarts. Each flavor/order is $19 and is two slices each. So it is about $10 per slice which I think is fair since Lady M charges a little more. I thought it was honestly worth it. They were a huge hit with us and our friends. I like that all of their crepe cakes weren't too sweet. My favorite was the pistachio which had a hint of pistachio. It wasn't over whelming with flavor. The hokkaido was also really good. My friends and husband enjoyed the black sesame which had a crunch favor to it. The fruit tarts were okay but still good. The shop is really just a stand. When you find it there might be there van parked right in front and it's for ordering and taking no inside service at all. When I first walked up. Somebody that worked there saw me but went inside and closed the curtain. So you're out there with just the kiosks to submit your order. If you had any questions, there was nobody to ask. The kiosk is easy enough to use and to pay. They bring out your order and it's packaged beautifully. Extremely disappointed in this place after expecting good things from the high reviews. I bought them for my parents and you know it's bad when someone has a blank stare after taking the first bite. First off, I came here for a pickup at 7pm and the entrance to the parking lot plus the parking lot itself was so dark that I missed the entrance the first time and then struggled to find the bakery once in the lot. It's tucked away in the far right corner with barely any lights in the area. There was a table in front outside of the bakery for service where you ring a bell, and someone comes. All that's needed for pickups is the order number. I ordered three slices: matcha, hojicha, and tiramisu. $12 each and sooooo underwhelmingly tiny. The presentation is nice since it comes in individual paper boxes with a gold bow on top. The bows were tied pretty messy but it was still cute. The most disappointing part of this was the taste and for all the flavors. The cakes were so bland, both in terms of their respective flavors and sweetness. Even for my mom who doesn't like sweets and always complains about dessert being too sweet said that these were not sweet enough. Service - Self service via kiosk. We did not see any employees until after we ordered. Then they bring out your product almost immediately. This review is based only on my experience with the Crepe Cakes at Anton. I've had crepe cakes before. I've had good ones and I've had bad ones. My standard is Lady M. Yes, crepe cakes are expensive, but they don't need to be pricier than Lady M if your cake is much smaller than that of Lady M. My wife and I bought two pairs, the Black Sesame and the Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was just OK. It tasted a bit off though. Not exactly that classic Tiramisu flavor. I couldn't pinpoint it, but you're not getting that a nice burst of expresso with hints of mascarpone cheese held together with soggy lady finger bread (yes, I have made classic Tiramisu before). Their Black Sesame was good. Not too sweet, but could definitely have used more of the Black Sesame flavor--but quite satisfying. If you look at the cake slices themselves, each crepe and filling was very uniformed, well put together. You can tell that it was made carefully and well crafted. But the slices were also so darn small. You could finish 1 piece in three bites if you wanted to. My other disappointment was when you got to the edge of the cake, you had some dried flakes of crepe--this tells me that these piece cakes were not made that morning, it was made at least the day before and left in the fridge waiting for someone to pick them up. At this price, I'd expect a bit fresher. For me, the overall experience and crepe cakes could have been much better, especially at $10 per slice--or $3.33 per bite (you have to buy in packs of 2--minimum @$19.99). The photos actually made the slices look quite a bit bigger than reality so I was a little shocked when the slices came out and they fit in my palm. Anton SV Patisserie is located in the back of some office buildings with plenty of parking by the side of the fence. The process was very easy: either order online (through Yelp or their website) or on the screen they have when you get to the store and wait a few minutes for the order to be prepped and wrapped up. I ordered a slice of the tiramisu mille crepe cake and the Hokkaido milk mille crepe cake ($24 total) and it was ready within a few minutes. Both cakes were not too sweet and you can tell they were intricately made. There were many layers sandwiched together with some creme in between, creating a really delicate texture. Note that the cakes should only last about 48 hours in the fridge, so they should be consumed fairly quickly for optimal freshness. read more

You can order ahead through their website or Uber Eats; I'd highly recommend ordering from their website for lower prices ($19.99 for a slice of mille crêpes versus $24 on Uber Eats). You can also order on the kiosk at their location. It wasn't busy at 12:15pm on a Wednesday, and my order was ready in less than 5 minutes (I used their kiosk). Last week my family was fortunate enough to have been gifted the Hokkaido milk mille crepe cake, and I was blown away. I've had Lady M before, and Anton's layers are even thinner and combined with the cream, make for a heavenly, almost melt-in-your-mouth texture. There are tiny chocolate balls which add a nice contrasting crunch and pair well with the milk flavor, which was not overly sweet, even almost plain-tasting. Somehow this cake was both light and indulgent, and to me, way better than Lady M. Despite how well-worth the price the cake is, the full version is probably too much of a splurge for me. I love their check-in and how easy it was to order online. It was so easy and convenient to choose a cake and a date/time to pick up. You can also get it delivered on certain dates. The girl who helped give me the cake was really nice, the service was great. It was fast, I picked up and left. My whole family loved the cake, it wasn't too sweet and tasted very light with a slight crunch from small chocolate balls inside. My dad bought this for me for my birthday and my jaw dropped! At first glance, it looks like an mediocre cake but once I found out the hefty price, I appreciated it more. You can see that many layers of thin crepe with crème in between and the many details! Honestly it was delicious. Personally I'm not a fan of cakes in general but this is definitely a spin of a not so traditional yet delicious cake! The price for cake is really expensive nowadays, with cakes at Paris Baguette being $35-50 so I'd rather splurge on a cake from here once in a while. I can justify the price because of the amount of time and effort that goes into it! I highly recommend everyone to try this place at least once.
