Went here after a meeting, I haven't had a calzone in such a long time. So I ordered the mozzarella and ricotta calzone. I must say coming out piping hot it looked good and was massive for a small. Well, taking that first bite it was sheer disappointment! The calzone was completely bland and I mean absolutely ZERO flavor. Quit the bummer. But service was amazing, the staff was extremely friendly. I'll come back just not for the calzone which by the way took 20 minutes to come out also. read more

Every time I make a trip to Davie from my home in Venus, Florida, I make it a point to go to Antonio's as many times as I can. They have the best pizza I have eaten since leaving New York 32 years ago. But please, dont stop at the pizza, as their subs are also phenomenal. Try the meatball, you won't be disappointed. The staff is ALWAYS super friendly and accommodating. The only thing more that I could ask is that it was for free,lol. I wish I could give them 10 stars. We ordered Penne Ala Vodka for take out from the Davie location. When we opened the container at home, it was loaded with thin slices of some kind of meat product. I called the restaurant and asked the owner about it. His response was that this is the "traditional" way of making Penne Ala Vodka, even though they don't mention it in their menu that this dish contains meat. The whole world is making it wrong, he said, this is the way it should be made. I asked why not mention it in the menu that their dairy dish contains meat? His response: That is how it is supposed to be.!!! His arrogance was incredible. All he could have said was that they made a mistake, and that would have been the end of it. This is the last time we are going to go to that restaurant. You never know what is in the dish you ordered. read more

First time. Ordered out. We ordered a Greek salad and eggplant parmigiana Didn't like either of them. The eggplant parmigiana didn't even taste like it was very hard seemed like it was frozen then recooked for way too long. It was all cut up in pieces. They have one of the largest selections of pizza and everything Italian that comes to your mind, you name it you find it on their menu. Let me warn you that their sandwich size are abnormal, it can be for more than one person. I love plain pizza pie and they are the best at it, crispy thin crust, not too much cheese, and taste really fresh. I also love their eggplant parm but again, dont get a full sandwich Price wise, they are very reasonable and fair, they are also very friendly and nice. I always go back there especially for lunch. read more

Absolutely fantastic local Italian/pizza place! We placed a pick-up order on this particular occasion after having a co-worker bring in some food for lunch one day. The food was amazing and we were seriously craving the Stromboli! For some reason Google maps had an issue with the address so for general location, they're in the Publix plaza, just to the right of Publix, on the south side of SR84 just west of 136th. Antonio's is a very simple no frills local restaurant but the food and staff were top notch. We were greeted upon entry by several employees which was refreshing. Being a "true Yelper" I started taking photos right away since I noticed they were lacking. I love that the pizza chef posed for a photo without hesitation! He was super friendly and said he has worked at that location for about 8 years! Happy employees = happy customers! We ordered two large Stromboli's for four people, and had some leftover for the next day as well. I'm not a huge fan of pizza but this Stromboli is to die for and a serious crowd favorite! You must get one! It's filled with delicious meats (pepperoni, ham, capicole, and salami) and cheese! You can ask for a side of red sauce (do that) to dip in! SO YUMMY! They also have the most amazing garlic rolls! Not "knots"... actual garlic ROLLS! It's really hard to find a local place that makes a decent garlic roll these days and theirs are phenomenal. Even though we didn't dine in on this particular occasion the restaurant was very clean and wasn't totally packed, however, I imagine on game nights and weekends they're probably much busier since it is in a popular plaza in a great neighborhood. Antonio's has a large open dining area and would be great for a large crowd or family dinner! I'm so happy I found this hidden gem and even more excited to have a new "local" pizza place! Stay away. The customer service stinks. I walked in and asked to place an order for a large group. We will be walking in about 10-15 minutes for seat down service. Response 'we can't do that' why not? 'It's not allowed'. Me, hmmm ok can I place a order to go we will take it with us? One employee responds, it takes just as much time to do that. Second employee says you can't place an to go order in person'. Me, 'really, so you don't like selling pizzas and making money? Have a good night, good bye. I was stunned at the lack of iq here. The phone people and staff are quite clueless! Even though I wax only 1/2 mile away, the brainiac said "oh you're not in our delivery area", the hotel was right slab in the middle of their map. If I can't trust their brain to take an order, I can't trust them with food choices. Luckily the hotel recommended Pizza Loft ( further away ). We'll see how they do read more

Shrimp pizza smelled like old fishy shrimp, pepperoni pizza was overly greasy to eat and the margarita pizza tasted extremely bland... Calamari were okay. Only thing I enjoyed we're the garlic rolls. Just went for the first time - a party of 4 adults and 9 children in total. We came on a Wednesday eve for the children's special - $5 per child and they can make their own pizza. The process is a bit slow but once it was time for the kids to create their masterpieces, they had so much fun with it. When the pizzas arrived, they were piping hot, crusty and melty, and oh so tasty! Children can pick from several toppings during the ordering/creating of the pizzas (each topping is $.50). I think that because they were involved in the process, they were more apt to try new combinations, which was truly a bonus! I ordered the Chicken Marsala which was fantastic. The entrees come with soup/salad, rolls/garlic knots and spaghetti. The portion size is large - enough for two small appetites or one hungry adult. All the adults in our party enjoyed their meals as well. I was also extremely pleased with the service we received. Our server was attentive and patient. I'm sure you can sympathize with a server who had a party as large and as "young" as ours. We plan to frequent this great family-friendly restaurant. read more

I went in here to grab a quick bite after working down the street and it was my first time here. There was one girl that was super nice but her positivity was been demolished by a shadow of a very rude person. I want to say that it was the boss because I have some co workers that have been in the restaurant and gave very bad feedback on the owner there. They witnessed him being racist and hearing him go off on one of his employees. He did the same when I was there! It ruined my appetite with the same meal that I had. I picked up what turned out to be a very mediocre pizza which cost $20+. When I asked for crushed peppers I was informed that they cost 50 cents per packet as per the owner Antonio. I called Pizza of Davie (cheaper pizzas) and verified they do NOT charge for crushed peppers. I also called a friend who owns several pizzerias in Gainesville. After laughing uncontrollably, he informed that that such a thing was crazy! Price per packet from food service distributors......3.5 to 5 cents/ packet. read more

Great pizza joint! Very family oriented and perfect for large family party or kids bday. This is nothing fancy, it's a pizza joint, so don't take your date here unless he/she is a cheap date. Majority of demographics of customers are: kids with family, just kids (where's parents?), and old(er) couple. Pizza is priced reasonably, waitress (our table was served by Jenna) works very hard to make sure we were well taken care, and pizza was good - I've been craving good slice and this place reminded me of my fav "hole on the wall" pizza places in NYC. My family, immediate and in-laws, have been coming here long before I was thought of. Buried deep inside an eclectic shopping center gives it a sort of "hole-in-the-wall" feel. Make no mistake, this "hole" has some of the best italian food I've ever consumed. Before I depart this blue marble, I will find a way to duplicate their pizza ingredients for my home use. The crust is always perfect, their sauce is amazing, and whatever cheese they use is nothing I can find anywhere. Pasta, seafood, subs, they do everything right. Customer service has never been a problem, both front- and back-of-the-house. Waiters and waitresses are generally positive and have never been rude. Any issues are resolved quickly and satisfactory. While I don't know if I will be living around here long enough for my (future) children to indulge in this place, I highly recommend everyone try it. read more

I have been a customer fairly regularly for years at this business and after today, will never again give them my business. If the pizza isn't over cooked and greasy, it's extremely stingy on the cheese and they nickel and dime you for any extra sauce for wings or a small grated cheese. Seriously?! It's convenient so I've been a repeat customer, but my pick up order tonight was so light on cheese, the sauce was practically all you saw on top and basically just tasted the dough. Very disappointed to say the least. When I called them to let them know, the owner took the phone and just replied.. okay and hung up on me. What a Disgusting way to treat a customer. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for pizza. It's fair at best and the owner does not value you! read more
