Went here for breakfast on a Sunday, and were caught a little off guard by how busy they were. This is not a sit-down restaurant (okay, they do have one picnic table outside the door), so you stand in line to order. There are plenty of benches and walls around the courtyard to find a place to sit an eat. Took us about 30 minutes to get through the line to order. My wife had the steel cut oats and I had the surfer bowl. Oats are oats, but the surfer bowl was very good. Very big portion too. Seems to be a popular spot, and I understand why. Breakfast is my favorite and I loved this place so much I came here three times out of the four mornings I had in Kauai. There's always a wait from what I noticed but it goes by pretty quick. There are no substitutions so don't bother asking. No matter what you get, it's going to be good. Our group had no complaints. I'd personally recommend the pancakes and French toast. Probably one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I ordered the Surfer Bowl with Bacon and Sausage, it was unbelievable! My husband ordered the Rip Tide and said it was the best thing he's eaten since we've been in Kauai. My son had the French Toast that looked like a work of art. Ordered as a group: papaya with yogurt, banana Mac pancakes, eggs with cheese, Benedict and the amazing Haupia French toast. All were terrific but that French toast may be one of the best things I've ever eaten. Also I got the Kauai cold brew coffee and I didn't get the jitters which is so rare and a sign of quality coffee! It tasted great. The Kalua pig was tasty but the salsa in my opinion didn't blend well with the Kalua pig and egg. I would have preferred kimchi, or ketchup and Tabasco sauce. Every else ordered different dishes and by the speed the lunch was gobbled down, it seemed everyone loved their dishes. This place was located fairly close to the resort I was staying at so we decided to check it out for breakfast on our last day prior to heading back to the airport. Several people had recommended it to use during our stay in Kauai and the Yelp reviews looked amazing so my boyfriend and I were both excited. It is part of a large shopping plaza so parking is very easy to find. Once you get to the cafe you need to write your name down and wait until you are called. Once they have a table ready and you are next on the list you are escorted to your table and given menus. After a few minutes the host comes by to ask if you're ready so that you can go inside to place the order. I thought this concept was very strange but I guess it works for them. After we ordered we returned to our table and the food was brought out straight to the table. I ordered the Tow-In: Haupia Mac Nut French Toast, two eggs, and bacon. They were able to make my eggs over hard which is the way I like them. The macadamia nuts on top were truly the added touch. The french toast was delicious and so unique. One thing they forgot after asking twice was the syrup but after asking another waiter we finally got it. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are in town. The Tow In with the mac nut toast was perfect! The coconut jelly on top was a delicious touch to replace the traditional whipped cream! The fresh fruit bowl was lovely too! Everything we saw coming out of the kitchen was drool worthy not to mention the fruit drinks! SERVICE: friendly and prompt. The order of service was a bit different in that you wait to go in to order after you are seated and they bring out your food when it's ready. This is probably to accommodate the small kitchen. This is a great breakfast spot in Poipu. Easy to get to and has a pretty big menu. It's take out only but there's places to sit right next to the store. We got both the veggie and the meat frottata and both were great. The pesto on the veggie one was awesome and all the meat specifically the sausage was awesome. I added avacado and they were pretty generous with that. They are cash only so make sure you have some before you go. I will go back next time I want breakfast in the area. read more

You put in your name to be seated. Once seated in casual table and chairs outside between building in the strip mall, you wait to go inside to order and pay... Even water and coffee, you wait to be called before ordering and receiving. For breakfast, we had macadamia nut pancakes with Portuguese sausage and fried eggs, and, kahlua pork fried rice with fried eggs. We had a side of fruit, which was hard to cut off the rinds when in a small bowl. The food overall was delicious and well presented.
