The staff was friendly but that was about all that was good. The tables were greasy. The food tasted and looked like food that you could get in the frozen food section of Walmart to put in the microwave. They brought drinks right away but the food took over 30 minutes to get. We went to Applebee's for dinner after mass yesterday. We were a party of 4 and were seated promptly. There were only 3 other boothes on our side with dining customers. The employees were so in sync! Teamwork was abundant! The manager took up the slack as I would have done so that was impressive. We got the beef nachos and I should have known better, I hate liquid cheese on my nachos but I failed to read that so. The chips were great though, nice and. crispy, at least the ones that the cheese missed. Fresh jalapeños are always good! Ground beef, no thank you, I have gotten beef nachos before but it was steak so again my fault! We shared the chicken Alfredo and they had it in 2 separate bowls without even asking, I love that! After being a loyal customer for years (GA, CA & TX), this was the worst experience ever! We didn't receive the two sour creams for the quesadillas (paid for an extra); didn't receive the pico de gallo for the pasta (paid for); didn't receive the sour cream for ribs/mashed potatoes (paid for). After spending close to $100.00, the take out girl basically said that "I HAD TO TIP" in order to get my food. Lastly, I didn't receive any MOVIE Tickets!! If there was an option to leave no stars, I'd do it without hesitation. This place is an absolute wreck. I called at 6:30 to ask if there was a wait -- to which I was told "yes about 25 minutes." I left my name with the lady I spoke with on the phone, got there around the time my check in would've been and was told to wait another 30 minutes bc they "don't do over the phone check ins" ??????? I finally get my table, and the waitress takes 10 minutes to get to my table to ask what drinks we want, ONLY TO RUSH US about last call on drinks and that they were closing on 20 minutes. She gave us our drinks, no straws; oh and no silver ware. This place has gone down hill. Shut it down! It already closes at 8PM it wouldn't hurt anyone to lose this place. Sadly there are no keto items on the menu. I got a Southwest Salad and had them take off everything that had high carbs. I ended up with a plate of Romaine lettuce, shredded cheese and 4oz of steak. The food is good but the service is terrible. They've gotten my order wrong twice in a row and completely missed 5 items the 3rd time I arrived during curbside service. When I told them an item was missing they 5 items they told me to come in and get it. I then waited ten minutes to receive it. I've been coming to this Applebee's off and on since I moved to Forney and their service has grown increasingly horrible. On the last trip a buddy and I ordered two unsweetened teas. The teas came and they were sweet. When we notified the waiter that the teas were sweet he argued that the teas were unsweetened. However I'd think we would know the difference between sweet tea and unsweetened tea. When our appetizer came which was the beef topped nachos with cheese. The chips looked like they were burnt. Then to make matters worse when our food came (x2 sampler plates) both of ours samplers spinach cheese dips were cold. Both of our ranch dipping sauces had bread particles in it as though it had been reused ranch from someone else plate. The wings were also not freshly cooked. The quesadillas were barley cooked. It was as though they didn't even try. If I could have given them less then one star I would. They have got to do better. In the mean time I'm avoiding this place like the plague because they are going to cause someone to get sick and I advise others to do so as well. With Corona Virus already making people sick we don't need our restaurants getting us sick as well. read more

My wife and I were very disappointed to have eaten (or attempted to have eaten) at this location on October 9, 2019. The occasion for my visit was to celebrate my wife's birthday. The wait time for the meals was much longer that was expected but when her meal finally arrived, 7 minutes after my meal was delivered, we had to send it back to the kitchen. Everything on plate was cold. We asked that it be prepared fresh. It arrived approximately 12 minutes later and part of the dish was again stone cold. Very sad.
