A patron had a very young puppy (only a few weeks old) inside the bar where the music was extremely loud. When I politely asked staff to enforce their own policy regarding pets being restricted to the patio for the animal's safety, I was met with complete hostility by the manager on duty. ​The "manager" (a bearded man who refused to provide his name) was incredibly rude from the start. When I expressed concern for the puppy, he argued with me, making excuses about why he wouldn't talk to the patron, even suggesting I should go confront her myself. He dismissively claimed that "puppies" aren't "dogs" and therefore the policy didn't apply. ​Most disturbingly, when he finally did go over, he clearly pointed me out to the patron, causing an unnecessary and tense confrontation between customers. When I tried to speak with him afterward, he was dismissive, slurred his speech, and told me, "I've been drinking, you've been drinking"--an insulting assumption considering I was on my first drink. ​It is clear this individual has no interest in customer service, animal welfare, or maintaining a professional environment. Based on the way I was treated for simply asking for a policy to be followed, I won't be returning.
