So, I've had decent food at applebees in the past. It was late yesterday after I went to visit family, so we went here. It was one of the few places open. I whole heartedly regret that decision. I will never go here again. The only saving grace they have is that their servers were very nice. THe manager was combative however. The main fall out was the food. I got a pizza for my son (expecting a personal pizza or something) and myself and my husband got the same thing, the All Amercian hamburger. It was horrid. I wish I had never even tried it. The onions tasted like they had been grilled in sugar and were SOGGY. It was nasty. When I cut it open to eat, I noticed that it was pink inside. I asked them to change it. All they did was take my hamburger grill it a bit more then give it back. That is NOT what a restaurant is supposed to do! I decided when I got it back that I wouldn't eat a thing more there. Everything food wise was just gross. The chips were hard, not in a good way, and oily. Like they were stale chips fried then given out. My son's pizza was a BRICK HARD stick of bread with tomato sauce, SUGAR, and cheese on it. I could taste the sugar. He didn't touch it. The mozzarella sticks were way over seasoned. No one could eat them. The fries were okay, though. I suppose. When I got to our hotel, I had to sit by the toilet for HOURS as I gagged and threw up over and over again. Yes, a horrible place to go eat. I will NEVER go here again! If you want to save your taste buds and not be sick, don't go here. read more

I will first start by saying this review is for Mr. Evan. I travel a decent bit and like to try new places mostly for the steak. This place is a solid 10/10 for their food. It was perfect and everything was right. The customer service I was shown by Evan was outstanding. He was very polite, patient and went above and beyond. This employee deserves recognition. I work in an industry where customer service is literally everything and makes and breaks it if you have a job or not. So I am no stranger on seeing bad, average or outstanding customer service. Mr Evan is more than just an average employe who just does a job to get by. The attitude he showed me tonight was nothing but perfect and because of this, the next time I am up this way, I will be back. read more

Applebee's is one of my fiancé and I's favorite places to eat. I don't really know what to say about this Applebee's though... We stopped there, excited to be in a familiar place on our way home from a road trip. It was one of the most uncomfortable dining experiences both of us have ever had. Upon being greeted, we were immediately asked if we were 21 years or age. We said yes, and she took us to a regular booth. (Why did she need to ask us our age?) our waitress was training a new employee, and let us know that before greeting us. She asked us what we wanted to drink; we hadn't looked at the drink menu-so we said that we would start with waters and order a drink in a few minutes. We then ordered an appetizer and our favorite entree to hopefully speed up the process because we were anxious to get back to our home. They then left us, and didn't come back for at least ten minutes. (The restaurant was not busy in any way) I then stopped the waitress in training to ask if we could order some drinks. Her response was. "Didn't she already take your drink order?" My thoughts were: "Um obviously not because I'm asking you if we can order drinks." We then ordered a Manhattan and a Bahama Mama. We were ready with our ID's, and she looked at them for about 45 seconds each (during this time, my fiancé mentioned that her birthdate was in red writing. She responded, "yeah I know" and then handed them back to us saying that somebody else would need to check them. After a few minutes she brought back the main waitress who also looked at our ID's for a while and then told us to leave our ID's on the table because the restaurant manager would need to come verify our age. (I am 25, and my fiancé is 22) Obviously we complied, and waited for the manager. Who showed up a few minutes later and then glanced at our ID's for less than 2 seconds each and then told the waitress to put the drink order in. They then left and we waited for our drinks for another 10 minutes. Well let me rephrase... they brought my fiancé's drink in ten minutes, and mine came another 3 minutes later. Our appetizer showed up and was very tasty, and then our entree came almost immediately afterwards. There were maybe 12 fries that came with the entree, and the entree was completely soggy and well done despite us asking for medium rare. Again, anxious to get on the road we started waiting for our waitress to get our check. After not being able to get anyone's attention for more than 10 minutes, I walked to the hostess and asked if we could pay for our meal. She responded that we need to pay for it on the ziosk at our table. I returned to the table and went to check out, but they hadn't put our order in yet. Around this point, I heard our waitress talking to another waitress. This is what she said: "honestly, f&$k those last customers. They deserved it." Idk. It was a weird experience. It took at least 20 minutes to order and get our drinks, and the employees seemed pretty rude. I really try not to judge people, but some of the employees honestly seemed like they were high. I thought I was the only one thinking this, but as we walked out of the restaurant, my fiancé affirmed my thoughts, saying that they seemed like they were on drugs. It was a very uncomfortable experience, and none of the food or drinks seemed up to Applebee's regular level of quality. We won't be returning. read more

This was place was a joke! Even the manager was rude and did not accommodate. We understand that there are rules for these establishments but the hospitality was awful by management. We wait for well over an hour as we watched people come in and out constantly. As servers and as a manager there are ways to move people in and out the restaurant efficiently and with excellent customer service without "uprooting guests". Having one out of the only two tables that seat 5 in your restaurant taken over by one group for well over two hours "chilling" doesn't make you more profit and just shows that you don't know what you are doing. Of course large chain restaurants like this don't care and one of the reasons they are floundering. read more

I was so pleasantly surprised at the food and service at this Applebee's. To be honest, I tend to avoid most Applebee's because of the poor quality of food. My wife's cousin wanted to meet here for a quick burger so I thought it would be tolerable. The burgers were the best my wife and I have had at any restaurant for some time. Meat was cooked perfect. Sweet potato fries were great and even the broccoli that I had was cooked right. Our server did a great job even with my wife's cousin's quirky sense of humor. Even the manager was engaging when he came to check on us. The only negatives were the extremely small amount of onion on my wife's burger which they rectified immediately. The lettuce on her burger was a little wilted. Over all, two thumbs up. read more

I would like to start off saying that Brittani H was extremely welcoming and professional while being very kind to my son. She was attentive and had the waters out pretty fast. Now the reason behind the one star review is because the food was horrible. Our dinners were very bland, soggy and distasteful. My wife and I got the house salad for our appetizers and they tasted stale along with being warm. I could assume they were sitting out for quiet sometime. Honestly without the great staff I would have left in the middle of dinner (after paying) and calling it a night. I don't believe I will be back anytime soon, if at all. read more

On Sunday May 9th we parked the car and started to walk to the restaurant a few feet before the door an employee saw us and hurried up and locked the door it was 8:45. The last time I ate there, which was about a week ago, I ordered a Blondie and when it came out, it was not what I expected. They changed the sauce!!! That was the best thing about it!! Applebee's is a good restaurant for a nice dinner or lunch. Although the pasta is a little dry. The severs are friendly but aren't best at refilling drinks, or taking plates that are done with. The food tastes good. I do recommend the frozen lemonades. read more

We always come to eat here but this time was awful. I told the hostess there was 9 of us and my fiends last minute decided to come so I told her I needed to add 4 more she rolled her eyes at me and gave me attitude. Granted I know it's a big party and it's difficult to accommodate but it's possible and it's your job! Then the waitress goes " oh there's more of you coming they told me 9". The staff was just rude. If I could rate this place -5 stars I would. As soon as we walked in, the entire staff seemed visibly upset that we were there. We are on a road trip and were exhausted, and this was the only place open and we were starving. We were then seated in the bar area, which we did not ask to be in, but didn't care. There were also several non bar seats available. Our waitress immediately ID'd us which is fine. However, we are all about 25 and she stared at our IDs for a very long time and was super weird about it. We also only asked for water, and did not ask to be seated in the bar. She walked away and a few minutes later another staff member came up to us and asked to see our IDs. She also had a scanner. Completely ridiculous. In addition to the 40 minute wait for food, our waitress kept trying to flirt with my boyfriend very awkwardly. It was bizarre and uncomfortable for everyone. When she brought out the food, mine was last and she also filled up everyone else's water except for mine. Super fucking weird and unnecessary. Safe to say I did not eat my food bc I honestly didn't trust there to not be spit or pubes or some shit in it. Not going to Applebee's again. There are plenty of better options for better price and better food. But here's the main reason: yes, the electronic games at the table. IF YOU HAVE SMALL KIDS, YOU WILL SPEND MOST YOUR TIME TRYING TO KEEP THEM OFF THE TABLET THAN ENJOYING A NICE MEAL OUT!!!! (Unless you're OK with paying out $2 for each time they touch the pad). It's a desperate, greedy trick, typical of a large chain worried more about their bottom line than anything else. And yes, tapping the screen is really all it takes. The games incessantly pop up, intriguing young ones with understandable low impulse control, even though you've asked them not to touch, turned the tablet around, etc. Take your eyes off it for a second and--cha-ching!--two dollars added to your bill. Yeah, not my idea of a nice night out. For purposes of knocking one's head against the wall but insisting on doing it anyway: to you, corporate Applebee's, sitting in your closed-door meetings, trying to figure out how to scam your consumer who you rely on growing your brand--you will dwindle under such a model. People sit down in your restaurant wanting great food, great service, and at a reasonable, competitive price. In those areas, you are lacking to say the least. So: yes, I will take my family out to places where I don't worry about my children purchasing games, and the food, service and value is superior. So long Applebee's. read more

First visit here and they missed an opportunity. My mom picked this place for her dinner birthday. Although I informed them of this event on arrival, nothing more was said or done about it. If the days of a 'comped' cupcake on your birthday are gone, also gone are the days of truth in menu descriptions. Their new jambalaya dish "N'awlins Grill" features blackened chicken and Andouille sausage. The chicken was diced so small it could not have been blackened and the sausage was a polish. I pointed this out to the manager when he came walking around but he seemed un-phased. "But it's all good, right?" Otherwise the food was fine and service was average. Bottom line I probably won't go back and I try and talk mom into someplace better next year. read more

Ate here on the way back from Colorado and had the worst food from applebees ever. The food at the St. George location is not very fresh. Anytime my family and I make a visit in St. George we always stop and eat here. Anytime time we are there we get great service from their server/bartender, Bri, and we always see the managers interacting with their guests and workers. The manager Tim, amongst others, leads an amazing team at this location. You can eat here and know your food will be made the way you want it, that the environment is clean and taken care of and that you will be taken care of if any problems arise. This is hands down my favorite Applebee's location in Utah. read more

The wait for food, however, was 40 minutes, and I think that was way over the top for two salads. The killer is that they had this stupid electronic game on the table, and we played it while we waited. Worst customer service ever. When we went in there were 5 tables with people. Three already had their food. Took 10 mins for someone to take our drinks order. Brought drinks in about 5 more minutes and took our order. After 5 or 6 minutes told us he was giving over to Morgan ( think this was her name). Several minutes later she stopped by to say she was taking our table over. After having been waiting over 1/2 an hour, we still didn't even have our salads. When Morgan went by I asked her if we could get our salads. In a condescending voice, like she was talking to simpletons, informed us these things take time and walked off while I was trying to tell her it had already been over 1/2 an hour. We walked out. We had stopped going there years ago but thought we would give it another try. Nope, nothing has changed there. There were 6 or 7 workers at the front door visiting during all this, also. Who ever manages this place needs to be fired and find someone who gets the staff properly trained. Will not ever go back to this Applebee's. read more
