    Dynamite California

Dined here this evening with my dad and daughter and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We sat at the sushi bar and enjoyed an orange blossom roll, lemon salmon roll, dynamite California roll, seafood dynamite appetizer, salmon carpaccio, and a shrimp and teriyaki chicken hibachi dinner. The sushi was fantastic! It was fresh and beautifully plated. My dad said the shrimp and chicken hibachi was delicious. The dynamite California roll was tasty and the lemon salmon roll was my favorite! They're creating a new menu but we were able to order off of both. The salmon carpaccio was sliced so thin and dressed with a delicious ponzu sauce. The service was attentive and the decor reminded me of Benihanas in Las Vegas. I will definitely be back to try more!

Made reservations for a party of 12. Our chefs name was Marlie and he was great at entertaining the whole entire group. The portions are large, so if you're one of those that likes lots of rice, this is your place. Everything was cooked to perfection, and don't worry about ordering dessert because you get a sherbet ice cream at the end that is included with the meal! This place was highly recommended by a friend who also vacations in this area.

My husband and I were super excited to try this spot for his birthday. The ambience is nice and everyone we encountered was friendly. Our waitress was so sweet! However, our experience was not what we hoped for. We had a reservation and didn't know until we arrived that their hibachi grill was broken, which I'm sure was very frustrating for the establishment. That said, they were also out of several other items we tried to order. Additionally, I have a gluten allergy and they are NOT gluten friendly at all and their menu does not list allergens. I did order very simple rolls, which I was grateful that the chef was willing to modify per my request. Even then, we found the food to be just ok, nothing spectacular. If I could offer any feedback it would be to start offering even just a GF soy sauce to show that they are considering those who have true allergies or needs. I would also be more specific with the menu, such as noting that the crab is imitation crab, because that is important information for someone like myself.

Came for the early bird specials which are a decent deal from 4:30-5:30. Our waiter did a good job. They give you a ton of food of course. Always enough for lunch tomorrow!

We had a party of six so we made reservations. We only had a ten minute wait for our table which seats eight. After seating, our waiter quickly came and took our drink order. When the drinks came, it was time to order our meals. Then the fun starts. Our chef was knowledgeable, entertaining and funny. The meals come with soup and salad with your choice of dressing. I got the hibachi shrimp which was delicious but I believe the rice and veggies stole the show. We all went away saying how much fun we had, and we all took home a ton of food. Would I come back here? Yes for leftovers for the week. If you see me here, stop by and say hello.

Much larger salad than it used to be

Still as good as ever even though it's once again changed names. One new twist as Aquino's is the salad is full sized. Quite large for a Japanese steakhouse. Still a crazy amount of delicious food. Yes prices are up but we all know why. The sherbet dessert now comes in a tiny plastic cup with wooden spoon. Definitely worth a visit!

Ask the Community - AQUINO'S Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar

We have a person with celiac disease in our party. I've tried calling but got no answer. Does anyone know if they have gluten free soy sauce as an option?

    I'm sorry I don't know.

Does the rice have onions in it?

The fried rice does, but you can ask that they keep it out of yours.

Does this place have vegan options(cannot be cooked in butter)?

    Yes

They had a few different bars that you could order at, with the main one being inside, another little hut outside, and a cash bar next to that. They also had a pretty cool live band, with a viewing patio right in front of the stage. In regards to my visit to Hot Fish, I'd say I was most impressed with the bartenders at the establishment, who did a great job under pressure. Even though the place was packed, and especially the bar area, they did a great job of remaining calm, and even got our drinks out in a relatively quick period of time. They also made some awesome blue Gatorade shots, which were some of the best shots I've ever had! I didn't necessarily love that there were cops standing guard at the entrance, but the bar's own security staff and bouncers were really nice, which isn't something you see at every one of these places. The only downsides to the Hot Fish Club were that many of the plastic chairs in the outside area were broken and cracked, making it kind of hard to sit a large-sized group like ours (they had a lot of wooden tables, but they were all taken), and that the restroom situation was awful. According to the girls in our group, the actual, physical restrooms were disgusting, forcing them to use the giant line of porta potties. This isn't a huge deal for guys, but it was a little uncomfortable for the ladies. Other than that, Hot Fish was great, and I'd highly recommend stopping by!

Let's try the good first. We arrived and we're seated immediately, but was also arrived just before 5pm, and it was already packed. Not surprised as it is the peak of the summer season. Our server was pleasant and attentive, and in my opinion, that was pretty much the extent of the " good". The "OK". - the food was just that, ok. The cobia had no real seasoning on it, if it weren't for the butter sauce, it would have had zero flavor. The fries are obviously from frozen and cooked until very crispy, almost hard. The mac and cheese sampled from my wife's plate also tasted like a mass produced, frozen deal. She said the scallops were good, and the shrimp I sampled were decent. My son enjoyed his fish and fries, but he's 6. The "bad"...since I'm using those words. It's loud, and got louder around 5:45. No surprise though, it's called a saloon and the reviews clearly say it's loud. Be prepared. Parking. I guess if you can find a spot on site, you're good, but the pay lots across the street are $20 for 2 hours...the least you can get. And again, something I failed to read, researcher whatever, but the pictures of all the 4 legged friends that have crossed the rainbow bridge that adorn the walls, it was, to me, a bit of a buzz kill. I quite frankly never realized it's concept was to honor actual dead dogs. My bad. We've been, and I honestly don't expect well go back, at least not for a while. I'll give it another shot, but in an area like this, there are always new places to try, ones that have been open for 30 years, and ones that have been open for 30 days. It's important to make a good first impression to generate return business.
