Very Rude manager. We spent $253 on very mediocre meal where they brought appetizer in middle of dinner service . I ordered sushi appetizer but got no small dish for soy sauce but others at table got. one person only ordered sushi but they gave her more attention and food she didn't even order. Meanwhile someone else ordered Filet mignon Rare that was over cooked to medium with no sauce or flavoring at all. The show was same at each table. Chef show for kids was ok but again rushed. wait staff was helpful pleasant saying no rush but then manager came and started clearing our table not asking if we were done. One person didn't get finish wine and another was still eating dessert and drinking sake. Slam bam thank you mam. Don't waste your money. Same rude attitude as China buffet but 10 times more expensive And food is blah. I told manager she was Rude rushing us off table but she just walked off said nothing and came back talking loudly saying it was time to set up for another 14 people coming in. Just a money machine for this restaurant manager and I feel bad for the people having to work there. No respect for customers, just want to rip you off and put you out the door. Just so unbelievably Rude. And overpriced besides. Stupid because only catering to tourists but being a local I can tell you I will never go back or ever recommend them to any visitors. There are 2000 other restaurants in this area better to choose than this place. We we're there early but didn't seat us for 15 mins and we were there for a little over an hour before they just cleared table forcing us to leave. For that amount of money for mediocre food and rude service in the end tourists better off spend a little more and go to Pirate Show dinner or Medieval Times dinner show at least get something for your money and not just booted out the door before you're even finished. Skip this place and take out from Ginza Japanese next to Publix. Total waste of money and incredibly Rude and obviously just don't care attitude. Local who will not return. read more

we had a cook named Ken. he kept moaning consistently while slapping the rice seducingly. The portion size was absolute dog shit all of the ribeye steak was fat and Ken gave no rice to me. We really enjoyed our experience here. Probably the best Asian styled grill cooking restaurant I've been to. Arrived an half-hour early than they opened but we were allowed entrance to the bar and sitting area which is just gorgeous. The decor is stunning and its comfortable to sit and chat with a drink. The chef for our dinner was funny and entertaining. Our waiter was very nice as well. I did notice the staff joking around a lot which was a little odd. Also, being seated at dinner with strangers is normally cool but not when they have sucky little kids yelling. The food was delicious though! Salad, soup, chicken and shrimp, fried rice, and frozen yogurt. It was worth the early-bird special price we paid for the whole experience. I would definitely return! read more

Just went and had a happy hour dinner with my girlfriend. The server was amazing the chef absolutely energetic, funny, skilled in his presentation and cooking. He was engaging to the whole table and the food was amazing. I went to Yamatos with my girlfriend for a late valentines day dinner the week after because we both had to work on the holiday. Their service was decent, but the chef we had was low energy and portions were a good bit smaller. Overall we may have had a poor experience at yamatos being right after the holiday, but overall the food was head's and tails better at Aquinos with more per portion. My girlfriend spent 112$ valentines day dinner at yamatos I spent 98$ and some change after a 17 dollar tip and got almost twice as much better food here. We will be back. read more

This was my first visit here even though I've passed it for years. I know this place has been here at least 20 years which speaks for something. The inside decor was cool. They had suits of armor, Star ceiling, fish tanks, and good selection between different cook tops that let everyone have almost their own space. Interestingly enough they didn't have those huge air hoods above the cook tops, instead opted for a vacuum system directly near the rear of the cook top. I tell you this because I noticed way less steam and Smokey atmosphere than the competition. The good: The food was great. I do prefer egg in my fried rice but they didn't put any in. Ill ask for that next time. We had 8 people and the shrimp was awesome. The lobster tails that were ordered were huge and tasty. They accommodated one of our diet restricted friends with no issue. My biggest mistake was eating all the salad, soup, and veggies that come before the protein is cooked. By the time my shrimp and steak was cooked I was mostly full. The quality was great on everything except my steak. The sauces, ginger salad, and soup were great. Our server had a great personality and helped make it special for one of our kids who had never been before. The bad: Like I said before, I like egg in my fried rice. The saki was ok but not as hot as I would have liked it to come out. Finally my steak was tough and had a decent amount of fat and gristle to it. I would have been fine to pay for the pre trimmed steak but they really should have removed a lot of that fat for us, especially around the edge. Best hibachi I've ever had in terms of food, presentation, service, etc. Both the server and cook were funny and they worked great as a team. The food preparation was so funny to watch and I never laughed so hard at a restaurant. Everything front the decor to the presentation of the food made the experience amazing. What really impressed me was how the cook worked around my food allergy without ruining the experience for the other people at the table. I'll definitely come back here again soon! Early bird specials, while limited, will save you about $3 an entree. Offered 4pm-5pm only. The food was great! Our teenage boys couldn't even finish everything--lots of rice! Plenty of food. Sauces galore including packed to go without even asking. I ordered steamed rice to reduce my butter consumption and had hibachi--all white meat chicken. Hubby's filet was very very good. Star lost for the stinky men's restroom, the 15 year old wouldn't even use it. Also I'm not sure if it was just our chef and server, but we were rushed through the whole meal (5pm on a Monday evening). Limited "show" compared to the table across from us. At least we got to see their flaming volcano onion and fireworks. One member of our table got his sushi order after the meal was cooked. The waiter was serving ice cream before we even finished eating. On my way out, I was in a close call with a cooking cart being pushed by wait staff in a big hurry. Our table wasn't even cooked for until other tables seated after us were served and leaving. One lady didn't eat mushrooms, so no one got mushrooms. It was so hot next to cooktop ice melted quickly, and no more ice was brought for water drinkers.
