Atmosphere was very dated. Food was good. There isn't a full bar, only wine. It was a pleasant experience, though our server was new and things moved fairly slowly. We enjoyed our meals, and the highlight was the toffee pudding. The atmosphere was severely lacking. It's like you're at a wedding reception, all of the tables are in the center of a big open room. I like to give 5 stars but 4.5 for me due to the wording say menus is subject to change on website, so not sure what's going to be on the menu is weird. I had the chateaubriand, my husband had the shrimp Alfredo. Great flavor in both dishes! Our waitress wasTee. Found out she is from my family's country of Yugoslavia, it was great pleasure to hear her speak with the accent. We were so excited to come to this place due to the menu options. Once we arrived, we noticed it was empty with 1-2 tables. We were worried, so we went ahead to give a try since it was late Sunday evening. The place is nice but a bit dated. There's soft music in background with real candle, that's a nice touch. We ordered Lobster Bisque, it was delicious! My partner ordered Lobster Ravioli and I ordered Filet Mignon with lobster meat. The lobster ravioli is delicious, however we were disappointed that the sauce is exactly the same as lobster bisque. I ordered Filet as medium rare, when I got it, it is more on rare side. I asked to cook some more, I got a new plate instead, it is still rare. I asked them to cook it more. They went a bit too far where I have mix of medium rare and medium. I just accepted it and move on because I am hungry, and my partner already completed his dinner. Overall, the server was overly apologetic, but nothing from the kitchen. Everything at the restaurant is amazing food service ambience. We are originally from Southern California where it is easy to get very good fine dining all the time. Follow me...if you dare, into the Twilight Zone: "You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's the signpost up ahead - your next stop, the Twilight Zone!" Imagine if you will, you and your wife have driven miles of the desolate but stark beauty of almost alien landscape of eastern Utah. You've experienced the fantastical landscape of Moab, Arches and Zion. You check in at your hotel, let's pretend it's the Advenire in St George. You decide on a moment of fleeting whimsy to try a highly reviewed restaurant. When you enter the restaurant the wait staff seems confused...almost to question Should you be at this fine dining establishment? They ask in a bit of perturbed manner, if youre with the other party behind you. You patiently say no. Then they ask, if you or the party behind you who arrived first. You grit you teeth. What you want to say is..."idiot, if the party behind me arrived first, then they would be ahead of me." Instead, you calmly say, you arrived first. On to the food. The calamari...show's up with cocktail sauce. You quickly ask yourself if you are at a Captain D's because you're not sure if a fine European dining experience should include ketchup and horseradish mix rather than maybe a little Marinara or simple aioli. The lobster bisque texture was off, almost too thickened but, the flavor was surprisingly good. The seared scallops with truffle risotto was a miss. The scallops themselves were well seasoned and sear spot on. However, the risotto was mealy, undercooked and otherwise unpleasantly crunchy. Risotto should be firm and creamy...instead the risotto was crunchy, lacked richness and had no layers of flavor and complexity. Truffle flavoring is too often used as a crutch to avoid developing layers of flavors that can be achieved with great cooking. But...the food is really only the Amuse-bouche of your twilight zone journey. Imagine if you can, a fine European dining experience in what looks like a furniture showroom. The true pièce de résistance is the flat screen TV hung from the indoor balcony that plays on a repeat loop cringe worthy clips of the Rat Pack sing alongs (including those of the rat pack giving crap to Sammy...because as you know, it's funny to use Sammy as the butt of all their marvelous jokes) Dean Martin TV specials and Johnny Carson episodes. As you pay for your dinner, you say to yourself that this has been one of the most unique dinner theater shows you've ever experienced. But then...it hits you. This wasn't a show...it wasnt a campy tribute who knows what bit of nostalgia. My girlfriend and I had high hopes going to Aragosta during our first visit to St. Georges for a nice dinner. Looking at it's Google reviews, I was expecting this place to be nothing short of a banger. And then I walked into the twilight zone. Weird jazzified instrumentals playing, decor stolen from the 80's (fake plants and all), and a petulant fly buzzing around us for the entire experience. Credit where credit is due, our server was very attentive and nice. The food on the other hand was sub par at best. No real flavors, under seasoned and lacked any passion or creativity. Not worth the money or frankly the high reviews it has on Google. Stay clear. read more

Biggest issue was my wife's dish - the Oscar filet Mignon for $59. It was supposed to come with snow crab on the top as it says in the menu. I am a seafood connoisseur and I noticed that my wife's crab meat did not look right. I looked closer and realized it was imitation crab. I know crab very, very well. I can tell if it is king, snow or Dungeness, but ESPECIALLY if it is imitation crab. If I'm paying $60 for a dish, it should have exactly what it says it has instead of some cheap replacement. read more

My wife and I booked a reservation here to celebrate both Father's Day and our Anniversary. The atmosphere and decor was very inviting and relaxing. I server was amazing as we felt catered to every dining needs! The Fillet slices melted in our mouths as did the King Crab legs, which were cut in half along the length of the legs making it so much easier to enjoy. The Chef came out congratulating us on our wedding anniversary celebration along with offering me a long stem rose too present to my wife of now 13 years. At the end of our amazing meal we were surprised as they also brought out a delicious dessert with the words Happy Anniversary written onto the plate! Right before the surprise dessert came out we had asked the chef to come back over so we may take a picture of him to remember. It was at this time that we realized that he was the same chef from a restaurant that we had eaten at for our 2nd Anniversary. Came here for a birthday dinner with a group of 12. We were in our own private room. Kelcey and the other wait staff were very nice. We ordered appetizer platters and all were very good. They had several specials. I had the Gouda soup which had a nice flavor and the lobster ravioli which was very good. The others enjoyed their food as well. The host paid for dessert trays which they brought out, one for every four people. We and the couple sitting next to us never got one. They eventually brought over one of the other trays which had been thoroughly picked over and the ice cream completely melted. There was barely anything left. Chef Imi greeted us when we arrived. The restaurants atmosphere is beautiful. The server was outstanding and the food was beyond delicious. The lobster bisque soup was delicious, the steak was cooked to perfection and melted in your both, the lobster tail was sweet and tasty, the vegetables were excellent and the dessert was unbelievable. This restaurant is amazing and providing the quality of food in a small community like Saint George. I first visited this restaurant when it was in Ivins and found the chef and the food extremely approachable and delicious! Finally, I get to visit again in the new location and find the quality of food, service and atmosphere were so much better! The best sangria was a private recipe that came in a martini glass. It was not only flavorful, beautiful and perfect for the season. Tonight I had the colossal scallops with pasta combined with olive oil, garlic and red pepper. Mushrooms were added as well but I would've loved more! Enjoyed sitting outside tonight because the weather is still beautiful. The live piano music was a perfect addition to a lovely evening! We have had very good experiences with Aragosta. The food and service is fantastic. The layout of the restaurant is a bit more open floor plan than we like, but they do a good job making it feel quaint and comfortable. Food is always consistantly superb. Its where I always go for birthdays and the ocassional special treat.

I went Saturday for my birthday bought a bottle of veuve for 170$. Bought the lobster tail and side salad, Cesar. Shrimp cocktail. They were wonderful with seating on time nice soft live piano music. 6 pm all tables filled. The bread was just bread sliced and a dipping bowl with literally 2 tablespoons of oil and balsamic. I asked for more they brought me the containers told he here you go. Ok, thanks so much. Wtf? Weird they didn't serve me when I was spending 300$ on 1 person dinner. Champagne was not chilled so I asked for ice. 170$ a bottle it wasn't chilled. I should have known. Sparking water not chilled no ice. Third red flag. The server should have known this before opening by the temperature of the bottle. I had to pour myself after the first pour. Another weird lack of service. A man at side table loudly complaining about his steak so I went lobster. Side Cesar salad with white anchovies. It was ok not crisp though sort of lifeless. Then the lobster comes it was cold so where the veggies the potatoes 1/4 c small portions were hot. So I skipped dessert because at that point I was just not very happy. They blamed it on a new chef. I hate to write reviews but want you all to know before you go. Also there is no dress code so anything goes !!! Shorts jeans ball caps children etc... Will I go back - no. I've had better food at rib and chop house. Way less money and better quality. I did like the pianist. Oh they have a candle sitting lit in a bowl as decor the candle is like sort of large not a tea light a real candle white sort of large for accent. My advice to this restaurant have your management team go to an upscale restaurant in Vegas and take notes. I should have known from strip mall and attire of guests and hostess very casually dressed it was not going to be 5 star but for the price and hearing others not happy it should be reviewed so you know what your going to get. The manager did offer to discount my meal I declined as maybe they can use the money to dine at a fine dining restaurant with their managers for training and etiquette policies. If they want to be a 5 star restaurant charging these prices they are going to have to start offering expected quality control and definitely need to set dress code standards at least no Levi jeans or ball caps. It sets the mood and candies should be in a proper candle holder. Food served at proper temperature and champagne and sparkling water chilled to proper temperatures. read more

We discovered this gem on YELP. Dupree our server was perfect and the ambiance and atmosphere was was inviting, romantic and calming. We enjoyed the Petite Syrah with appetizers consisting of heirloom tomatoes with burrata and I had the foie gras....which was delicious! Dupree recommended the Ribeye which I thoroughly enjoyed though it was on the thin side...maybe 1/2 inch thick. My bride had the black truffle risotto with prawns. The flavor was excellent. The risotto was a little chewy and not as creamy as she anticipated and the prawns were simply medium size shrimp. Great flavor and well prepared but not prawns. In the end the service and attention we received was way above par and Dupree and those who assisted him were excellent. The food was excellent in flavor and presentation except for the noted items above. We will be back! read more
