I was raised to respect the old things. The things that came before me. This Arby's certainly counts as that. It's obviously been here a very very VERY long time. From what I understand, where the iconic Arby's Hat signs were once plentiful, now they're few and far between. I pulled up and took a moment to marvel at the hat. Then I noticed the architecture. The building was crafted to resemble a Conestoga wagon. Why was it shaped like a Conestoga wagon? I don't know. But I guess that's what the really old Arby's were built to resemble. I took some photos, and then stepped inside the place to order food. Inside, they had a tile bull on the floor. Again. Why? I don't know. But way old. So I respected it and took it's picture. I suppose I should have asked the people behind the counter if they knew anything about the building they worked in. I hope to remember that next visit. The food was the food from any Arby's. I've got one just down the street, where I order the exact same items. It's Arby's food. It's good, it's pretty cheap. It fills the belly. Horsey Sauce is damned tasty. But this place has history. Probably 50ish years of history. Makes you wonder how many roast beef sandwiches have been served in that time? What cars drove up to the parking lot? What hair and clothing styles have these walls seen? There are all kinds of new places nearby you can visit. But I'm glad this place is still here. We went to this Arby's location very excited to enjoy great sandwiches. After ordering and dining in, we asked to use the restroom and were refused. Puzzled, we asked why? I went to Arby's to try their beef n cheddar sandwich, which I haven't had since I was a child. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by some of the friendliest staff I had meet at a restaurant in quite some time. The cashier and manager both joyfully greeted me with a honest smile and a cheery disposition. They thoroughly explained each menu item I inquired about and let me know of their current deals and limited time menu items like their 2 for $4 Bourbon BBQ Sliders, which to be honest I found quite helpful. I ended up trying 2 of their new Bourbon BBQ Sliders as well as their famous Beef N Cheddar sandwich. I tried their Bourbon BBQ Chicken (which was so juicy and tender). The lightly tangy bbq sauce paired well with the fresh pickle [that they smartly place under the chicken tender] that was top off with crispy onions for a delightful cavalcade of flavor. I also tried their Bourbon BBQ Real Country Style Rib slider which reminded me of my grandma's home cooked ribs. The rich bbq sauce perfectly complimented the melt in your mouth tender rib, which I finished in one delicious bite. The beef n cheddar sandwich was a good as I remembered. The soft bun and fresh roast beef was a good way to end my meal. I haven't been to an Arby's in quite some time but after today's experience I know I will be back due to their good food, friendly staff, and prompt service. Arby's... Where to begin. Arby's has been around since 1964. It may not be the first place that comes to mind when it comes to fast food but where Arby's surpasses all the others chain places is that all their meats are slow roasted and sliced fresh daily. Yes, the building looks vintage, but that's a good thing! It reminds you that it has been around forever and is still here for a reason! I cannot lie, I haven't been to Arby's for 25 years. Yes I know...its a frigg'n long time but I saw the new Greek Gyro commercials and wanted to try one. I have to say.... It was pretty damn yummy. This is a five star rating for a chain fast food place. The Arby's on Edinger Ave across from the Bella Terra shopping center deserves every star! To start, the restaurant is amazingly old school. They have the giant neon cowboy hat out front, crazy western tile work on the floors, and can maybe seat 10 people max. This is the Arby's from my childhood. The place was clean, well stocked with napkins and sauces, and the soda fountain worked perfectly. The staff was friendly and quick. I was greeted when entering, order taken promptly, food served right away. The food is standard fast food fare, but tasted great. My order was made fresh, including the fries, and everything was made as asked. It also seems that Arby's has expanded their menu to include more then just roast beef sandwiches. Now, it had been years since being in an Arby's, but this was probably the best one I had ever been in. Ambiance, taste, and service were all amazing. I remember the first time I've ever tried Arby's. My brother and I were both in high school at the time, watching the Lakers game at home. It was halftime and an Arby's commercial came on with their 5 roast beef mix n match sandwiches for $5.95. My brother and I didn't even say anything to each other, we made eye contact and the rest is history. This Arby's was the 2nd location I've tried. It was on a Tuesday, right before the movies at Bella Terra. We wanted something quick so we went here. This Arby's does not have a drive-thru so we decided to dine in. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small but it could seat at least 10 people inside; most of the seats are outside. We didn't know what to order at first then we realized that their menu items are not that different from each other; they use a lot of roast beef on their sandwiches. We wanted to diversify our food so we ordered the Jr. Roast Beef sandwich, bacon cheddar chicken sandwich, and their turkey club (all different meat). The food was made quick but it was not that appetizing. The Jr. Roast Beef sandwich was really dry and salty; I had to add a bunch of sauce to drench out the saltiness. The bacon cheddar chicken sandwich was okay. The bacon was overcooked so it was burnt, the cheese wasn't even melted like in the pictures, and the chicken was dry. The turkey club was probably the freshest item we had probably because the bread they used was soft and not hard. and the turkey was still wet so it wasn't that dry. Overall, the food was okay. The service was helpful though in helping us decide which food items to order. However, the downside is that they don't have a public restroom so when one of my friends had to hold it in until we got to the theaters. The tables at the restaurant was a bit sticky. Been waiting for the Arby's that was damaged by a fire to open for way too long so finally ventured the extra 10 minutes to this location as I was craving some Arby's The food here is pretty good but #1 it's expensive and #2 there's no drive thru at this location. The expensive part is really just because of what I like to order. Each time I've come I end up spending $20 or more bucks to get a market fresh Turkey and Swiss, a couple Original Roast Beef's, a Beef and Cheddar, and some Curly Fries. They have a happy hour from approx 1-5pm, which if I took advantage of I'd save a considerable amount or would have a ridiculous amount of food for the $20. The reason for that is they have $1 sliders during the happy hour, with many different options, some not available as regular sandwiches. I only tried them once in Florida so I can't give them a proper rating. Also, Arby's added Gyros to their menu. They have three options, Roast Beef, Turkey, and Lamb. The first two don't sound appetizing but I tried the traditional Lamb and it was very tasty! The only thing I wish is they'd dice the tomatoes instead of slicing them but otherwise it has a nice balance with their Tzatziki. Also they have a two for $6 deal on them, take advantage of that! I'll come back to this location again until the other HB location opens and when that does I probably will stop coming here. read more

Feeling pretty emotional right now because this was my first time at an Arby's and I ordered an apple turnover. I was super hungry but also completely broke but was hoping I had a couple dollars to spare on my credit card. They swiped my card and everything and i left and ate the turnover in my car. This is the worst Arby's I've ever been to. Every time I've come in it has been dirty. In 17 years I've come in 2-3 times every few years hoping for a better experience. I know there will be some bad days, so I like to give them the benefit of the doubt. Nope always dirty. Sometimes they are really slow to add insult to injury. The food is ok, it isn't anything different than any other Arby's. And it is always served with a smile. No scratch that, this location serves their food with a bored look. Now think about it. If they don't clean the public areas, what are the odds they clean the back or was their hands? Do your want to play salmonella Russian roulette? Luckily I've never had that round in the chamber, but I'm getting wary in my old age. When I want Arby's, I drive to Irvine. There is another one in HB but it's not great either. The Huntington Beach restaurant is a retro style building which adds to the experience. It probably has been around since the 60's. There is plenty of seating room inside and out. It is clean and the service is excellent. Don't change the architecture!!! I suggest the style be kept the same, as compared to the newer Arby restaurants. PS - We stop at Arby's every week or 2.
