Want to share my experience with Arch plumbing so others are aware. I share a condo with one other unit and my neighbors started to notice a gas smell in their garage and reached out to Arch Plumbing to see if they could help identify the leak. We were unfortunately out of town so our neighbors handled the issue. Totally aware my neighbors should of called PG&E but instead they let Arch Plumbing handle the issue. They inspected the garage, found the leak, and replaced one 3/4 gas nipple and cap and charged us $525. Please see before and after photos; it was a simple replacement that PG&E would have replaced for free or way less than $525. While I understand labor cost, the garage space was relatively small and leak was in a easily reachable part of the garage; in addition, it was a minor pipe and cap replacement. I saw the bill afterwards and called Arch Plumbing to get an explanation. It took them a few days to get back to me and I had to follow up a few times. Christian told me, "they replaced a few nipples and a cracked cap." This simple replacement would have been free/ much cheaper if my neighbors had called PG&E. We were definitely over charged. The truth is, they are a plumbing company and the right thing to do would have been to have my neighbors call PG&E. read more

I had an old style toilet supply valve that failed and didn't shut off the water any longer. I called up a few plumbing companies and ultimately ended up choosing Arch Plumbing due to their professional service and competitive rates. I coordinated with Martin who was very helpful throughout the entire process. He handled all the logistics of coordinating with our building operations to make sure all the documentation was in place. I had a leaky toilet in June 202. I just noticed I did not finish my review so I am completing it now. Christian from Arch Plumbing came out in the morning. He was 30 minutes late. I expressed my concern that the bolt on the side of the flange was loose. He assured me that it wasn't a problem. He did try to tighten it though. He put the wax ring in the toilet on then when he was tightening the toilet down, that bolt came loose, and he was just going to replace it again. At this point he had taken the toilet off and put it back on 4 or 5 times and I stated I was not comfortable with him proceeding. He did not charge me which seemed like the least he could do. Later that day after contacting another company, I figured out I had an old lead attachment to the flange which meant I needed a new herco bend (pipe under the toilet that has a 90 degree bend in it). The Arch plumbing manager called me back and had come to this same conclusion. I wish Christian could have diagnosed the problem correctly in the first place. It left me scrambling to find and schedule another plumber the day before I was to have major surgery. Christian tried to blame the whole situation on me. After asking him to stop he said, it was my fault that I would not let him do his work. Initially the manager also said this all was my fault. All I can say is that I am glad I watched and expressed my concern otherwise I would have to deal with replacing the herco bend during my recovery from surgery and getting my money back from Arch which probably would have been a nightmare. Maybe they are good at really simple things. I am not sure. I guess Christian had never seen an old lead attachment to a flange. That is the only way I can explain why he did not diagnose it correctly. But it doesn't take an expert to know if the flange is mobile replacing the wax ring will not fix the problem. I found Arch Plumbing to be unknowledgeable, unprofessional, blaming, and condescending. At least they did not charge me. I do not recommend this company. read more

I should have written this 2 weeks ago. Thank you Arch Plumbing for sending Enrique to remove the clog from the deeper plumbing outside my apartment. He was kind. He listened to me. Also, he gave me very helpful information. Also, he didn't mind me watching and learning because this will happen again. In the past, my landlords would take care of things and not tell me anything. I didn't even know how the pipes were connected (not as obvious as one would think). He worked quickly. I was expecting 2 or 3 hours of my life held hostage by this yucky issue, but no. 45 minutes. Gerson from Arch Plumbing was great! He replaced my kitchen faucet sprayer which was leaking as well as the p-trap. I had another plumber from a different company said I needed to change the entire kitchen faucet so he could charge more. It was not necessary because the faucet was working fine. Only the sprayer was leaking. Gerson is honest, friendly, and quoted accurately. I will definitely call Arch Company for my future plumbing issues! read more

He assessed exactly what action was needed and made a few adjustments to the prior installation to ensure everything worked exactly as intended. Both appointments were scheduled in the timeframe we requested. The phone rep as well as the on-site technician, Carlos, were professional, friendly and focused on solving the plumbing issue. Arch Plumbing was the plumbing sub on bathroom remodels in my house. horrible does not being to describe their work and the experience. I had the same shower fixtures installed in the two bathrooms that they worked on and they screwed up on one and then, later, on the other - same screw up twice, both of which required them to tear into the walls backing the shower fixtures adding time, mess and expense to the project. one of the fixtures is still not correctly installed. they also screwed up on one of the vents to my roof, failing to property secure it in the wall and not making it long enough - what the GC referred to as an "Arch special." They also left a test plug in the main sewer line in the garage so that the line backed up into the upstairs shower. The large RED plum should have been a clue, but nope. There were various leaks in the copper pipes they installed, eventually fixed after my complaints. they also made aggressive cuts into the joists located in the garage that support the house and did something to the main waterline such that it began to leak. their solution? turn down the valve so that it doesn't leak, but moans when the irrigation system engages. for purposes of transparency, this was in late 2022 - early 2023, from recent reviews, maybe they have improved, but I would still beware. read more

If you are a project manager/management company and/or have a large amount of money invested in your home I do not recommend joining forcing with this crew. I work comfortably with many plumbing companies whom I can trust with multi-million dollar assets which makes my life 10x easier. I can't tell you how many times I've spoken to the owner Alfredo about 1. Work that was done unauthorized 2. Work that was not completed 3. Work that was not thoroughly thought out so they could not distinguish any given issue up or down. 4. Their employees who do not take ownership of email threads with specific guidance to interprets to technicians (I've had to read my share of email out loud to remind them of what was said). All in all, major drain (no pun intended). I felt compelled to make this review, specifically because of a summary I needed for an entire building but they sent me one for 1 home....not the building. Save yourself the hassle if your work ethic is superior. They're still learning. Find yourself a pro! & if you're in need, I'll gladly recommend an alternative. read more

I scheduled with Arch (Alfredo) by email to service a boiler in a tenant occupied building. I confirmed by email the night before. They completely blew it off. The work site is 30 mins from where I live, so this unreliability was a waste of time - and I then needed to find another boiler repair. I'm only glad it was t an emergency. I had another plumbing problem that caused me to reach out to Arch Plumbing earlier this month. Sadly I can no longer recommend this business due to the following. (I will try to keep the story short since I assume a lot of the extraneous details wouldn't be helpful.) a. Plumber was late for initial visit. I was given a two hour window and someone called near the end of that window to state the plumber was finishing a job and would be at my place soon. The delay wasn't extremely long, but it got worse when other people from Arch Plumbing were scheduled to come out the following day to do the job that couldn't be done in the moment. They were supposed to arrive between 8 and 10 am for a job that would take "all day." I got a call around 11 am saying they were finishing up a job and would be at my place "in the afternoon." I told them that if the job truly was an all day affair to reschedule for the following day since I didn't want them working in my place until 8 or 9 at night. b. I will take at face value the need to cut into my wall to clear the clogged drains. The price seemed high to me but when you have no sink to use, you agree to things without thinking clearly. Since I had wanted my bathroom vanity replaced anyway, I asked if it would make the job easier if I had them do that at the same time -- sort of a mini-bathroom remodel. The plumber said yes and that would increase the cost from just under $2,000 to just under $3,000. This is where things really went south. Because they needed to install whatever vanity was available for immediate pick-up, I was talked into accepting something much smaller than what was being replaced. Instead of informing me what issues might be present when replacing a larger vanity with a smaller one (the biggest being an unfinished floor under the vanity), the person managing this job simply said he was offering me the "perfect" solution. He also lied about the construction of the vanity, telling me it was a granite surface when, in fact, it is solid surface. c. Apparently Arch Plumbing thinks a job of this sort that began as a plumbing request but turned into a mini remodel is okay to leave unfinished. The walls surrounding the vanity look horrible due to the removal of the previous backsplash with no repair to the wall (sanding, filling holes, repainting). The person managing this project returned the day after the vanity was installed to take photos so he could have "his person" give me an estimate for the job. If you were having a vanity replaced, wouldn't you think that having a decent looking sink would be part of that job? As of a week later, I still haven't received a call or text from anyone to give me a quote. I should also mention that there is no back or side splash. I get that they are not in stock, but for a project like this I would expect those to be part of the project and that someone would come out at a later date to install them. At this point, I'll probably just see if I can do it myself or hire someone else to actually finish the job since installing a backsplash isn't difficult. If you have a basic plumbing issue and can tolerate people not showing up on time, then maybe Arch Plumbing is worth considering. I feel like a fool for agreeing to allow them to replace my vanity, though, a decision I made mostly because I just wanted my sinks to work again and to replace the old vanity that had a chipped sink and countertop anyway. I will take responsibility for agreeing to a replacement vanity that I should have just rejected (how I wish I just spent $1,000 less and had them cut a hole in the back of the old one), but I am angry that I was lied to about the new vanity materials and the overall poor finishing of the job. If they didn't promote themselves as doing bathroom remodels and were just a plumbing company, I would fault myself for hiring the wrong company to do the job. But they do claim to do remodels and, according to their website, are punctual and able to transform a bathroom "into a spa-like oasis" in as little as a day. Well, they did take most of an entire day to replace a vanity but what they left behind is far from an oasis. While my sink works, what they left behind looks much worse than a vanity with a small chip and a sink with hairline cracks. read more

Jorge came by and fixed both the drain and replaced the garbage disposal, with minimal disturbance to our schedule. He was very communicative, well informed, and was always looking out for the customer's needs and finances. Alfredo and his team were very professional and did a very clean job with my radiant heating leak. They used a thermo scanner to find the exact point in the cement where the leak was which allowed them to make a hole exactly where the repair needed to happen vs. where it looks like the leak is. Repair and filling the hole was by two different team members on two different visits and both were very professional wearing covers on their shoes and wearing masks.
