    Small Mushroom & Fontina Pizza
    Dan M.

Grabbed a to-go small mushroom and fontina pizza. Place looked hopping and everyone was very nice but took it back to hotel. Great taste, the slightly charred crust was perfect and the mushrooms were tasty. Paired with a cheap red back in hotel lobby so we could people watch. Small was a decent size and well priced, especially for Boston.

The pizzas here are awesome and huuuge for their price! My favorite was easily the mushroom fontina, which was extremely generous in mushrooms and cheese, and hit the spot. The drinks were also great, a personal favorite is the very unique Espresso Matchini (I was skeptical of Matcha and alcohol, but this was great, could barely taste the alcohol). Wait times can get pretty high though, so just be prepared to wait

Come for the good pizza/food and reasonable prices, not for the ambiance - as you walk in, you feel like inside an MIT library.. no music, cold and quiet large space. We got some wine (no complaints, but also nothing special) and the anchovies pizza, which was good, yet on the saltier side, and very wet at the center (while try near the crust). They were super kind go provide some extra red sauce (which was hot and tasty! Thank you for that!). I just wish they would be a bit more creative with the toppins (learn from Si Cara, you're neighbor)

One of our favorite pizza spots in Boston. This is a light, airy sourdough crust. The margarita is delicious and the supreme garlic knots are extremely cheesy. Service is good.

As most reviewers,we were swayed to try out their pizza which did not disappoint-good topings, lovely crust. Overall cozy venue and good selection of meals to try-only wish our server wasn't that upset with the world as she appeared to be,but perhaps she was just having a bad day. Also, another staff member who brought out pizza order just dropped it off the furthest corner of our table and left-not ideal. Other than that,we had a good experience!

This review is for the cafe side of Area Four, as I have not tried their pizza. On the cafe side, you order at the counter and seat yourself at one of two long tables (well, a bunch of small tables pushed together). When it's cold out, the cafe gets pretty chilly whenever the door opens, which I found kind of uncomfortable. I kept my coat on. I ordered a drip coffee and an everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was your standard everything bagel - better than a Thomas grocery store bagel, but not as good as homemade. It was also toasted almost to the point of being burned, which I didn't love. Cream cheese came on the side. Coffee was ok. Not too bitter. I'd come back to try the pizza but for the cafe, I will pass.

Tried this spot for the first time and it was great! Would recommend all three flavors that we ordered which were mushroom, clam, and margherita. Biggest comment from me is that the dough was perfectly crispy in the margherita but underdone in the clam and mushroom.

I've ordered their mushroom pizza for delivery twice and this pizza slaps. Thin, crisp crust, delicious mushroom flavor, perfect cheese ratio. Will absolutely order again and try more off the menu. Plus the boxes always have a fun sticker inside :P

All was delicious and served hot. Went here for a graduation celebration lunch! The service was relatively quick. Enjoyed everything. The meatballs are comparable to Prato in Orlando and that in and of itself is worth a star. Sooooo good. Flavor texture sauce everything just went together so well. The wings were crispy but tender. Piping hot just the way I like my food served. Will return again

Gotten pizza takeout once and came in person last night. Ambience and lights were great! Great for a small group of friends Salmon 9/10: I really liked it! Prosciutto pizza 8.5/10: get it! Mushroom pizza 6/10: can use some work.. Brussels sprouts salad: too much dressing..

My friends and I came on a Friday night at 8. They didn't have any availability inside but we were able to get seated immediately outside. I loved the pizzas. The dough was so nice and chewy, and the cheese was delicious. We each got a small and were only able to finish half; next time, I'd probably share a small with apps or a large. We also got a Brussel sprout salad which was delicious. I'd skip the garlic knots next time.

Food on point. Atmosphere great. Bartender awesome. Highly recommend. Highly rated beers on tap.

A really nice pizza spot on the MIT campus! The pizza was doughy and the ingredients were fresh! The prosciutto and arugula pizza was our favorite. The craft beers are also amazing - I love the sour one! They were nice enough to let us sample a few first!

From start to finish, we had an amazing experience here. We ate here on Sunday. They open at 11:30am. We got in line around 11:00 am, and there were already dozens of people waiting in line for them to open . Around opening time, the owner came out and personally greeted everyone as they came into the restaurant. He was so friendly. He greeted passers-by on the street and talked with the locals. The staff was friendly and answered all our questions. They provided recommendations and offered suggestions. We sat at a window table and were able to see out at the boats. It was cute and quaint inside! I got a cup of the clam chowder. I 100% recommend it! They add dill and omit the pork, which made it so delicious! My friend and I split the fish and chips, and it was more than enough for two people. The fish was cooked perfectly and the fries (chips) were crispy without being too crunchy. We added a bit of pepper to our fish, and my goodness does that make a difference. If you visit Boston, want an awesome local establishment with delicious food and overly friendly staff, this is the place for you. My wife had whole lobster for $40. TONS of delicious food. Four days prior, Union Oyster House had whole lobster for about twice the cost. All of the food was delicious. Boston Sail Loft was a great send-off restaurant to end our Boston trip. Thanks again to our new friends from Boston for the recommendation. Our server gave me useful info on the local beers. The platter had a delicious mix of scallops, shrimp, clams and fish. The chowder has a lot of dill in it, but wow...it's the best chowder I had on my trip. My wife loved her large lobster...tons of meat.

Food was amazing- so please know I would absolutely go back for the food! We had lobster bisque, the best Caesar salad (top 5), calm chowder, shrimp and clams, lamb and a fillet. During our meal just after the lovely table side service of the lobster bisque my son accidentally moved the table with his feet and the drinks flew into my food. Our server watched it happen and walked away. She turned not to help but out of disgust walked the other way! The food runner came to the rescue! But then we were charged for another drink that spilled! I don't know but when your at fine dining and you get double charged for a table moving and treated like you are an inconvenience that gets me. Plus she was clearly angry with us. According to my dining companion, the server shot me a filthy look and rolled her eyes at my expression of confusion and disbelief. Oh how I WISH I had seen that. The waiter came by and I asked him about the oddity and he seemed apologetic and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. No thanks, it was a live and learn moment. And I learned I won't be ordering steak frites from Monsieur Earl again. Edit: I'm having lunch at Stephanie's on Newbury street and I'm eating the most delicious simple salad ever...
