Online order, everything is $0.5 more expensive than their regular menu

The rice has vinegar which is good, other than that everything is fine, the service is very slow tho, I need to wait 45min for my order but they are not busy because it's Monday, however, they forgot to give my entree when I picked up the food, I called in for a refund, but the lady who picked up the call said she need to check with manager then she will call me back, however, she never called me back, but they did refund me.

My partner and I arrived to SLO and wanted sushi that evening and saw the good reviews of Arigato Sushi so we wanted to check it out! We arrived around 7PM with a wait time of around 10-15 minutes. We were able to choose our seats afterwards and there was a good variety of options of appetizers, rolls, and sashimi. We ordered the regular edamame, aged dashi tofu (not Agadashi tofu in this case), salmon nigiri, cut salmon roll, and the Chef Charashi. The fish was fresh, the sauce that came with the tofu was good - similar to a vinegar fish sauce and the tofu was crunchy. The restaurant was clean and had a nice ambience. The staff were nice and attentive. It seemed like a popular spot amongst the local college students and families.

the inside is dimly lit and cozy, the service was super nice and friendly and the food was also delicious and well priced. this place needs to be more popular!

Incredibly unassuming being located in a strip mall. But, aren't some of the best places unassuming and tucked away? It was a Saturday night in August in this college town and my boyfriend found Arigato on Yelp so we decided to check it out! Parking is easy because -- strip mall. There were a few patrons in for dinner and they have a cool, sushi bar to watch the chefs create their masterpieces. We opted to sit at a two-seater table by the sushi bar so we could watch at a distance. We had a young waiter who was so sweet but may have been new and was a bit clumsy with the forgetfulness (but he gets a pass, it's hard when you're new and we weren't in a rush)! We Definitely got far too much food but it was all delicious from the veggie tempura to our own helpings of the Philly roll to an avocado roll. Yum! I had a Diet Coke, he had Sprite. If we were local, we'd be regulars! Cute decor, fair prices, no frills, all good. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!

Been on the hunt for a good sushi spot in SLO that doesn't break the bank, and am so glad I finally tried Arigato Sushi! We came here on a Sunday night and were seated immediately at a table by the sushi bar. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the food came out quick. Great spot for takeout, or even a casual date night/ group dinner. We ordered two rolls from the "All Day Happy Hour" menu which ranged from $9.99 to $11.99, and also ordered a specialty roll. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of everything we ordered, especially considering the reasonable prices. The fish tasted super fresh and we loved the crunchy texture of the Red Hot Night Roll and the Super Dragon Roll. We ordered 2 miso soups, 1 order of edamame, 3 sushi rolls, and a beer for only $55. Overall, if you're craving sushi and looking for affordable prices, this place is hard to beat! The staff is polite, the food comes out quick, and the "all day happy hour" has a variety of rolls that are flavorful and delicious. I will definitely be back to try other menu items.

Service here was great! Staff was friendly and our food came out quick. The rolls here are to die for. I highly recommend the Santa Maria roll. Quaint and quiet and a great place for sushi!

This spot is our go to for happy our priced sushi. The food is great and priced very well. Service is friendly, restaurant itself is comfy but not out of this world special haha but it's still a great atmosphere.

affordable sushi that is decent quality and won't break the bank. went here bc goshi was closed. with tax and tip, came out to about $40/person. ordered the spicy garlic edamame (wouldn't recommend), 2 oyster shooters, and the 10 pc sushi/sashimi combo. sat at the bar and received excellent customer service from the sushi chef. they have a $8 sake/large beer combo

I've came and eaten at Arigato many times since my first review and sadly, I've just gotten more disappointed everytime I visit. This time, we made a reservation for a party of 11 (only 10 came). It was pretty busy and so we already kind of knew how the service was going to be. We had to stand for a little bit maybe 7 minutes before getting seated and then we didn't get menus until about 15 minutes after being seated. The server then came to us and let us know that it took awhile to get menus because there weren't available but it would've been nice to be updated because we were all just confused. Eventually we got our menus and ordered. Our food took so long to come out and the sushi was already cold (some were baked and would've been nice to eat is hot). Then one of the sushi rolls got mixed up with another table and so one of my friends didn't get his second one until it was time to pay for the bill. The servers didn't ask how our food was, if we needed anything else (we had to get up and get our soy sauce for ourselves as well). The food is very food for its price but the service has been lacking everytime we go.

It makes a busy open space intimate. If you want to sit at the sushi bar make reservations or roll the dice. There is nothing quite like watching a chef dedicate their entire service to you. That's the Omakase experience we had. The restaurant was busy, but the team running the show outside our service was a well-oiled machine, and I could tell other diners were enjoying their meals. But what we experienced was on another level. Course after course was assembled in front of us. I love to cook, so watching and engaging was really special. Learned about every fish, salt, oil, cut. Just spectacular. They were also very kind. A few folks celebrating birthdays, including myself, and they doted on us in a major way. Truly memorable.

First time, build your own sushi rolls... Kinda weird and I spent $30 to have to buy dinner somewhere else shortly after... Second time, ordered the chicken yakisoba and a blue crab roll (California roll with real crab).. Yakisoba was $20 and literally looked like a kids sized meal.. good thing I bought the blue crab roll for $15 that I had to squeeze out of a weird plastic roll... Both tasted good, but definitely not worth $35. Again, had to buy dinner somewhere else .. Let's try serving meals that are appropriately sized with less weird gimmicks...

All-You-Can-Eat sushi with a 3 tiered menu or order a la carte…read more I came in on a random Tuesday afternoon so the establishment wasn't too busy but there was consistent traffic off individuals coming in and leaving. The space was clean and tidy, not a ton visually to note. The staff was friendly, attentive, and seated us immediately. They took the time to explain how the all you can eat menu works as it was our first time there, gave us a few moments to decide while they brought us water, and then took our order with the chosen menu. Quick efficient and organic interactions The menu was pretty extensive ranging from vegan rolls, nigiri, tempura, baked rolls, appetizers and more for 90 minutes. If I were to go again, I think I would consider the menu slightly differently. I either ordered a lot of may and dairy items or that those ingredients were used frequently through the rolls we ordered. I will say if you like that kind of creamy, then you'll love this spot. For me it was a bit overwhelming and made for a slightly "sick" experience of sushi over a "fresh" one.

I am not one to give one a bad first opinion without giving them a try so I had to come back and I did. Once again I was pretty disappointed, not only with the good but as well as service. They took an absurd about of time to come and just get our drink order an once they did it just got worse. Took them even longer for us to be able to place some appetizers in. Once we finally got both... disappointing we ordered some jalapeño bombs, they were the tiniest things ever. Two jalapeño's cut in half to make four pieces . They completely forgot about us for almost the rest of the night. There was a group of three who sat in front of us and we watched as they received all their plates. Once our server finally came around to talk to us... it was her telling us if we wanted anything else because it was last call. We mentioned yes we still wanted to order actual plates. She looked confused and completely shocked and replied that " oh you guys wanted to order food " as in she thought we only wanted appetizer and drinks. Which was pretty upsetting considering we did not get checked up on once since we had gotten our appetizer and drinks. (yes we tried waving them down and looking for them to get some food in) We have finally received our food and well pretty decent nothing crazy to them, very small amount for the price as well they weren't wrapped up nicely. Each piece would fall apart pretty quickly. Just left dissatisfied and disappointed as well still hungry. We also were rejected on being able to get the all you can eat bundle because it was too "late ". While we had a table to our right who was doing so as we were sat down. We still ended up leaving before them.

We were walk in, the hostess offered us seating in two bar areas and also made room in the front room for us. We sat at a table in the front room. It had nice ambiance and nicely decorated with plants. Our server was super sweet and helpful. We ordered a Paloma which was great but I heard the pisco sours are good and homemade. Wish we tried one but next time! The service was so fast. When we got our cocktail the food arrived! We ordered the señor lomo which was their lomo saltado. It was sooo good. The sauce was so flavorful and the filet mignon was very tender. It came with a lot of veggies, fries and rice too. Also ordered the escabeche which was a sea bass with similar delicious sauce and veggies. It had mixed colored roasted potato's underneath. Fish and the dish was soft and equally flavorful and delicious. I would say the sauce was slightly lighter than señor lomo. They had a platter of desserts on display. Wish we could have all of them. They all looked pretty and delicious. We tried the papaya creme brûlée. Thought it mostly tasted just like creme brûlée. Highly recommend. It is one of the best Peruvian places I've been. The Tamalito Negro was easily the highlight of the meal and one of the most memorable dishes I've had recently. The Peruvian black squid ink tamale was soft and flavorful, and the creamy ají amarillo sauce worked beautifully with the shrimp. It was creative, distinctive, and absolutely worth ordering. The Corazón, or grilled beef heart anticucho, was also excellent. It still had the characteristic flavor of beef heart, which I appreciated, rather than being over-marinated or disguised. The texture was just right: tender but not artificially soft, with enough chew to remain satisfying without being tough. The Seco de Cordero was much less impressive. The lamb was fine, but the cilantro-based sauce was too salty for me, and the dish did not have the same refinement or excitement as the two appetizers. At $50, I expected more. I also tried the classic Pisco Sour, which was smooth, refreshing, and much stronger than it tasted. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disorganized. After I was seated, nobody came to take my order until I actively called someone over. I was not given water and had to request it when the cocktail finally arrived. My server also entered my order incorrectly and ordered a second Tamalito Negro instead of the Corazón. The food runner noticed that I had already received the tamale, took it back to confirm with the kitchen, and only then was the mistake discovered. As a result, my appetizer arrived after my entrée. I also waited a long time after asking for the check and a to-go box, although the server eventually took the food to the back and packed it for me. The kitchen clearly has talent, particularly with the Tamalito Negro and Corazón. But at this price point, guests should not have to repeatedly flag someone down for basic service, water, correct ordering, and the check. I would consider returning for the food, but the service needs major improvement.

I thought quite a bit what Sushiya reminded me of and it gave me that college Japanese restaurant vibe and I think that's pretty accurate. It's not high end and after eating their food, that's what I got out of the experience. Firstly, place is big. Waitresses were friendly and nice. The sushi chefs at the sushi bar DO NOT say "Irasshaimase" when entering. We got as appetizer- spicy grilled edamame. 5 stars. Small portion but had a nice kick unique to what I've had. Unagi 2 piece ($7). 5 stars- no complaints. Maybe a thin cut was fine with me Super Dragon Roll ($10, normally $19.99) - was a cali crab meat plus shrimp tempura with unagi on top. 3 stars - I liked their sticky rice held the sushi together. Middle of the roll pieces had very little crab meat and shrimp compared to the ends of the sushi roll where the tail of the shrimp tempura ends. Not bad but very Ricky. Chicken teriyaki combo - 3.5 stars. Vegetable tempura had one shrimp, one onion roll, one yam but could be two. Decent but nothing special. The menu said charbroiled but I was expecting something else. It was chicken breast meat. And thin cut- sauce was nice and thinck but longer you eat, the sauce gets more thick and sticky. Not the best teriyaki Wife had the salmon teriyaki Overall, it was an okay place. Nothing wrong with the meal.
