The mayonnaise and American cheese on the monte Cristo is too much. Not a good recipe. There's a reason for Swiss to be on it because of its mild flavor. Also who puts mayo on a Monte cristo? I tried to eat it and was able to get through one, but after that I was like no. The fact that they put a mountain slab on 3 pieces of bread per triangle is crazy.I just could not continue with the Kraft cheese melt. The bread was nice and fluffy but could be toasted a bit more. Went here for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. The mango sticky rice pancakes were so good with authentic fresh mango flavor. The crispy chicken was also delicious. It wasn't greasy, had a nice crunch and avid seasoning. The man working the front was very friendly and accommodating and the seating outside in the shade was cute and relaxing. We arrived for an early brunch and by the time we finished there were people waiting for a table. The waffle itself was nothing special. They give you a side of maple syrup and a sauce that kind of tastes like spicy mayo. - Monte Cristo: The monte cristo was delicious, but to be honest nothing super special. I think the crispy chicken waffle sammich is the star of the show. To be honest, if there was an option to just order the chicken itself, I would get that. Nothing else on the menu particularly caught my eye. If I were in the area I'd probably drop by again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Came here on a Sunday at 10:00, placed our order by 10:20, got our food at 11:10. I'm giving it three stars solely because of the time it took to actually get our food. They're clearly ill-equipped to handle a large volume of customers. Everything was delicious once we got it, but after we did no one came by our table again. The waffle was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. The fried chicken was a huge portion. It was fried crispy and flaky on the outside and the inside was tender and blazing hot. The potatoes were also crispy and blazing hot, almost too hot to eat. They were plain and needed seasoning but still very good. The service is simple. Counter order and about 10 minutes later hot food delivered to my table. Food wait was a little longer than expected, but well worth the wait. Small patio eating area and a slightly larger inside dining area. The dining area was clean. Business was slow today, but if the dining area was full it would be tight quarters. Great food and simple service. Highly recommended if you are in the area and have a few extra minutes to sit down and eat. Parking is challenging but there is a small parking lot on the east side if the building. Our group of three waited an hour and 15 minutes to get our food all for it to be semi cold and the fried chicken being served extremely dry. I was hoping that after waiting so long, the food would make up for it, but unfortunately, it was subpar along with the service. There were other groups asking the same question how much longer will they have to wait for their food and were very disappointed as well. Also one of the tables in the patio area was falling apart & marked for "accessible seating" for those with mobility issues, that is definitely not safe & the restaurant should seriously consider getting a proper table. You order at the counter then they give you a number. Water is self-serve in the seating area. You can dispense hot, cool, or cold water. If you come here I recommend joining their waitlist on their website! We did not see a waitlist on Yelp and assumed they didn't have one but they have one listed on their website and we went on Sunday at 10pm and waited about 30-40min. I've heard a lot about this place and was excited to try Thai fusion brunch. My table ordered the hot Asian omelette, the Monte Cristo, crispy tofu, and the chicken and waffles. Everything here was SO GOOD! My favorite was the Monte cristo it was sweet and savory and the bread was so fluffy. The hot Asian omelette was described on the menu as having Thai spices and flavor in it but it was very underwhelming and not a crowd pleaser in my opinion.
