Love the atmosphere and sitting on the back patio. Parts of the place can get a bit noisy, but the back patio always seems to be relatively quiet. The service is always great, with friendly knowledgable servers and bar tenders. They are always super quick with orders, service, and extra requests like extra napkins, lemons, condiments or whatever you need. The beer selection is pretty great and the food always seems to please. The border of the month has always been great, too. The onion rings are the bomb! The buffalo cauliflower can be hit or miss, but is usually pretty great - it was a bit soggy 1 of 3 times. The salads are always fresh and the burgers and sandwiches are always great. The Wicked Chicken sandwich is awesome ... next time I'll try the Jalapeño Popper sammich and then the AZ Hot Fried Chicken sammich! The Jalepeno Slaw is awesome, as well. The jalapeño peanut butter bacon burger is what my dreams are made of . The sweetness with the hint of heat goes great with a watermelon gose. What a fun venue. Excellent service from Sonora! The menu is extensive-- it took us a while to figure out what to eat. I love that they are receptive to customizing your order. We had the bacon fries- a HUGE order! We should have split an entree. We got the pb&j burger, and the jalapeño popper sandwich. Everything was amazing - the buns, the meat, the sides. Let me start off with just a thought or tidbit I've noticed about these newer hipster restaurants... they charge for every little thing you do, and not small amounts either. The cliff note of my reviews if you don't want to read it all: - Expect to have your wallet pillaged by paying $50 for 1 meal with a drink. - Customizing your order at all seems to result in significant up-charges. - The beer is very, very average when it comes to taste and quality (nothing special), however the price is well above average. - I hope you like IPAs. - Here's another bar trying to be unique by using the same tired formula. It shows in the staff and guests who are regulars here (sock hat hipsters with no social intuition) Very cool atmosphere, but the waiting staff are in over their heads. Seems to be more than enough people on shift that you wouldn't have to expect to wait very long for service, but you'd be wrong. Sat around with the empty glass from my first beer, thirsty for more refreshments, being ready to order, for about 20 minutes, possibly longer. I will say the beer is interesting. I wouldn't say unique, as it's like most other hipster-style microbreweries where the staff wear sock caps and 70% of the taps are some variation of IPA or... *drumroll*... DOUBLE IPA. With that being said, they did a good job and luckily I enjoy IPAs thoroughly. But the only other real variants seemed to be one lager and a bunch of weird frilly fruity beer. The beer was on the expensive side, but again, hipster IPAs at microbrewery--expensive beer is the bread and butter but I wouldn't say the cost detracted from my overall experience. What did though put a damper in my experience though was the nearly $20 cheeseburgers... I got the PB&J burger because it's a combination of my two favorite meals between sliced bread... very simple however, and it was $17. Pretty up there for a cheeseburger on a below average quality bun that fell apart halfway through and if the bun can't stand up to peanut butter--I can only imagine what some of these other burgers look like halfway through. Considering the long wait for a table and, additionally, the food mixed with undertrained staff who lack basic service educate when it comes to waiting, my review would've been a 1-star. The saving grace here is really the beer, which is drinkable but not fantastic. I haven't tried them all but I did try 4 different ones and each was less impressive than the last. The ambience gives maybe a minor nod, but I feel generous hitting it with a double star really. If you're a gen z/millennial who's against the system and giving big business your money and can't explain why those are your beliefs, the vibe is probably right up your alley. If you're looking for a good beer, good service, and a reasonably priced meal then I would implore you to continue on to the next bar/restaurant. There are dozens more within a stones throw of this location that offer much better food options. read more

I came back for a second visit and have to say the food was even better than the first. We had the artichoke dip, chicken tacos, Arizona burger and Cobb salad. All of them tasted amazing. I had the stout which came out ice cold and flavor was all there. I wish they had more indoor seating in the summertime as the place is always busy. We sat outside and it wasn't bad except for the litany of flies that circled us on the back patio throughout the meal. Not sure what can be done about flies on a patio, but that's the only drawback to our visit. read more

The burger was so good I ate it before I could take a picture. I got the downtown burger. It was cooked perfectly. The bun was so good too it was soft but very full. I got a salad on the side with some vinaigrette, delicious! Can't wait to come back. Only downside is that there is some awful smell while waiting outside. Our server was nice, but we could have used a little more attentiveness. We had to ask someone else for straws and then we had to get up to get our own napkins and sugar from the service station we were next to. Overall a good experience though. Wilderness is a must do! They have a great selection of beers and food. Downtown or Gilbert, both have awesome ambiance and service. There are even some nice veg options like black bean tacos that are out of this world. The duck fat fries are also really good and come in a big portion. My favorite though are the waffle batter onion rings. Amazing atmosphere!! We came here while on vacation and we were so impressed with the food and the current atmosphere of this location. We came during a modified covid time and the staff had a wonderful grasp on making sure everything was safe and open. We got a beer flight, the mini meatloaf sliders, a green salad, the pretzel, onion rings and the loaded fries. The portions were huge but we just couldn't decide so we ordered it all! The loaded fries were so good! The beer flight was 100% customizable so we got everything we wanted. The sliders were the perfect size to share. The onion rings were cooked perfectly and not too greasy. The pretzel was very filling and the salad had fresh, crisp veggies. I've driven past this location for over a decade. I kept telling myself one day I'll go eat there. Just busy working never did. Drove past it yesterday and decided tongue friends and go eat there. Long wait before we could get seated maybe 45 min . If you eat outside is too warm still. Eat inside it's too loud. It's a bar atmosphere. Plenty of seating outside front or back. Maybe seats about 50 inside. If you like craft beers this is the place to come. FYI the menu is amazing! The jalapeño meatloaf sliders were the best! Everyone I was with loved their food and talked about coming back, but in the winter when we can sit outside and avoid the noise inside. It's very busy and totally worthy of your time. Came here for lunch on a Sunday. The weather was perfect, we sat outside. We were given a nice huge table for just the two of us. My boyfriend was craving a burger, I wanted a really good beer and they had both. Portions are pretty big, but then again I eat daily small portions to begin with. We ordered the artichoke dip and chips, poutine fries. I had their bacon blue cheese burger which I could only eat half but it was really good. Hands down my favorite was the Picacho Pecan Pie Brown Ale I ordered, I actually had 2 glasses. Yum! And I love a good patio and they have a nice one, perfect for enjoying winter in AZ. read more

Our waiter was awesome, very friendly, helpful and informative on all of the beers available and the food menu. Our party of 4 were all very happy with our food, 3 had burgers and fries and I had the jalapeno popper chicken sandwich, best chicken sandwich I have been served in AZ. We also had a pretzel for an appetizer, one of the best we have had. Beers were awesome, my wife ordered a flight to try several and all were enjoyed but 2 or 3 are must haves when we return. I have been here many times before with my friends and it is always a good time with some delicious food. You got to love their beers and burgers (with bacon) here. You also must get the duck fat fries as well. If you do not want to get a big platter of fries, at least upgrade your side to the duck fat fries. You won't be disappointed. What I don't like here is the lack of cold A/C and sometimes the wait can be long. One pro is that you can grab a beer in their Tasting Room while you wait for a table to open up. They also have a dog-friendly patio. So come here for a beer flight or two and get some great food. read more
