I cannot begin to explain the amount of empathy and care their team gave to my entire family in this process. Since our baby was 100+ pounds it was hard for my elderly father to help carry him. In response to this their team was waiting for Hopper with a gurney and took over to make the whole process somewhat easier on us. Even being away, they let me do some of the paperwork over the phone so our family did not have to be there longer than they needed to be. My father told me about how exceptional their crew was that night and how much compassion they had for Hopper and our family. They were understanding and I ended up cancelling all together because my vet was right, her bump did go away! 4 stars as they're quite expensive. Jessica, Dr. Garcia's head nurse, was rude and spoke to us in a very condescending manner throughout the conversation. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she made the entire experience feel hostile and uncomfortable during an already stressful situation involving our dog's medication. When you are dealing with a pet that depends on medication, the last thing you expect is to feel dismissed and pressured financially. From the moment we arrived, Tracy, Simon, Dr Lena, and the staff made the experience completely different. We were met with nothing but empathy, support, and clear communication. The staff, technicians, and doctors took the time to thoroughly explain everything -- our options, the risks, and what to expect. There was no pressure, just genuine care and transparency. As I write this, my baby is receiving the treatment he needs -- at a cost we can actually afford. I truly can't thank the team enough. And a special thank you to Arianna at the SPCA for pointing us in the right direction -- because of that recommendation, our dog made it through the weekend. Simon stated a different plan to me than was stated to me over the phone by another representative and was extremely rude. He claimed I was provided wrong information by the previous representative (he never apologized though!), and left me in an uncertain position of whether my cat would even be cared for if she was brought in by the sitter during an upcoming international trip to Eastern Europe! I was/am appalled! There was NO accountability for the misinformation he said was provided me almost 2 weeks prior. So, I was two days away from a trip to a developing nation, and left with no plan, and no indication from them that they would expedite the issue to resolve it. I brought my cat here on one previous occasion, and was charged an exorbitant amount to induce vomiting after my cat swallowed a small string. After this most recent horrible interaction and lack of follow-through by VEG (with Simon and the manager), I will never bring my cat here again. Nor do I want to interact with them in any capacity. This was by far the worst experience of veterinary care in more than 20 years of having cats. I promptly called MedVet Mountain View, spoke to a wonderfully helpful woman, and was able to secure my emergency travel plans for my cat in less than 5 minutes. Our most recent visit our cat got a sticky (glue) fly trap stuck to him, which may seem like a silly thing to bring a cat to emergency for... but the level of freaked out that he was, we were having difficulty handling him, and he was bleeding and we couldn't determine from where. I called to ask for advice on how to handle the situation, which they gladly gave. The person at the front desk even called me back after she talked to a technician and had additional information for me! We ended up taking him in, as we just couldn't get things under control on our own and he was clearly in a lot of pain. A technician took him back to assess him quickly, got him cleaned up, located the source of the bleeding and cleaned his wounds. And of course he was an angel for her... (why can't he be like that for me?!?!). Once again, everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient. They never minimize what you're dealing with... if they thought it was silly reason to be there, they sure didn't make it seem that way to me. They took our concerns seriously and were very supportive, and took excellent care of our cat. The other thing I really appreciate with the team here is that they aren't trying to add on or charge for unnecessary services. Costs are explained clearly and feel very fair. I haven't once felt like they were taking advantage of the emergency nature of a situation. Again... really good people here.

Dr Guevara was incredibly thorough going through Reina's history, listened to our concerns, and even made suggestions and courses of action for potential underlying causes of other health issues that were not related to our primary concern. I honestly felt more listened to and understood by Dr Guevara than our primary vet - and my husband felt the same way. After the appointment the tech walked me through a very thorough summary of our appointment, the medications prescribed, and methodology for administering. First, I want to acknowledge that the staff were kind, gentle, and clearly cared about both me and my cat. During an incredibly emotional time, they treated us with empathy, and I'm grateful for that. However, my cat was in renal failure, and I don't feel that I was ever given a clear or honest understanding of how serious her condition truly was. I was repeatedly told that her situation was treatable, particularly once she started eating again. She ended up staying there for three nights, and while I was told she had begun eating at the clinic, when I brought her home she still wasn't eating and was in very poor condition. What's most difficult for me is that she passed away the day after I brought her home, after I had spent nearly $16,000 on her care. Looking back, I strongly wish someone had been more candid with me about her prognosis and whether euthanasia might have been the most humane option. I feel like I wasn't given the information I needed to make an informed decision about her end-of-life care. I don't doubt the compassion of the staff, but I do wish there had been clearer communication and more medical guidance during such a critical time. For anyone going through something similar, I would encourage asking very direct questions about prognosis and quality of life, as I wish I had been guided more firmly in that direction.

My dog Lido is the light of my life, and that's putting it mildly - meaning I can be a little over bearing and generally don't let him stay just anywhere. I can honestly say Lynda is one of the only people that's not a family member that I trust wholeheartedly with his care. It also helps that he has become best friends with one of her recent foster fails I love that they only take small (or very calm larger dogs), allow them to cuddle in bed and most importantly only use positive reinforcement. I always trust that he is being treated as if he was one of their own. Could not recommend Lynda or her services enough. We feel so lucky to have found her!
