My nitro coffee was more foam than coffee and my wife's cold brew was more milk than anything else. So, as a veteran and I want to support my fellow veterans, I will say I have to leave an honest review. This coffe shop is dirty. It's understandable that there might be patrons that spill here and there in the dinning room. But you could tell that this place hadn't been cleaned in a while. I noticed this after placing my order. The person taking my order clearly had an attitude and it was an unpleasant experience. The coffee shop should smell like coffee as you enter. It smelled like cigar smoke. Hence, there's a cigar shop next door. It didn't bother me, but it was more than noticeable right as we entered. It was surprising that all the staff were the purple haired mafia, it being a veteran owned establishment. I definitely won't be coming back.

I've been here a couple times and it's always busy, which speaks for itself. We had our most recent book club meeting and booked their private room for it. I don't know if there was a cost associated with booking it but the space is nice. It offers privacy while still being part of the main area with the glass. Staff was really friendly and helpful with us having an open tab for our group to order. They have some fun seasonal flavors and something for everyone, even if coffee/tea are not up their alley.

Was staying across the street for a business meeting and saw the coffee place on the drive in. Made note to go back for coffee the next morning. Looked online and saw they do coffee flights. Decided to give that a try, with the seasonal flavor option. Currenly, that included peppermint mocha, salted caramel latte, banana bread chai and s'mores cold brew. I liked the caramel and s'mores but the syrups needed to be stirred in more. The banana bread chai was great. Went back the next day and grabbed a cookie butter latte before meetings started. Was surprisingly not overly sweet. Would definitely recommend stopping in!

I stopped by Armor in the evening with a friend and loved how spacious and welcoming the place was. There were plenty of comfy looking furniture to sit on as well as a small outdoor patio. They had some pastries that looked yummy as well. Our barista was friendly and our order came out quickly. I went with the London fog in a medium which was delicious. I appreciated that the drink wasn't overly sweet and the prices are affordable. They have a seasonal drink menu which is fun for the holidays. If I'm ever in the area, I look forward to returning.

I returned here today after a long hiatus from being one of my favorite shops (I left because it was getting a bit crowded). I got a promotion in the app for a free drink, so of course returned. I was pleasantly surprised by the new breakfast items on the menu, especially these incredible Potato Chive Eggs Bites that are TO DIE FOR. Not only do you get three, but they come with a dill? based "Envy sauce", and they taste homemade, just like your momma would make. Way better than that other, overrated coffee shop that everybody flocks to. YUM. Will return!

I looooove this place! Had it for the first time after an event, as this location is next to the Event Center. I had an iced pumpkin spice latte, an iced matcha, and a chocolate banana loaf. Everything was so perfectly delicious and well crafted! Perfect portions, I mean seriously delicious. It is such a cute spot, too! There's this little room with a table in chairs in it where you can rent it for whatever you'd like. There's plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. The staff was friendly and there's also a drive through. They handled the amount of us that walked in very very well, no messing up a single drink, it seemed. Can't wait to visit again!

Stopped by this coffee shop after a big lunch to unwind and sip some coffee, and I'm so glad we did! They offer coffee flights, which is a fun way to sample different flavors. We tried Cookie Butter, White Sands, White Lavender, and Honey Vanilla. All unique and delicious in their own way. For me, White Sands was the standout! Smooth, balanced, and something I'd definitely order again on my next visit. Great spot, cozy atmosphere, and a perfect place to relax over a good cup of coffee.

The setting here is so cozy & fun!! The staff is wonderful and literally told us today "as long as we have it, you can have whatever you would like". They are so accommodating and kind! The drinks are tasty and perfect and the food is so yummy. We have gone through the drive thru several times and eaten inside a couple times. We love the games, coloring sheets and crayons for the kiddos. We will definitely be back!! Their beans are my favorite to make espresso at home too, they grind so well and taste like I am at a coffee shop even at home.

I've frequented Armor enough now to confidently update my review. I really enjoy Armor Coffee, I only wish there was more indoor seating! The Bacon Breakfast Tacos are my favorite followed by their chocolate chip cookies, which are good but amazing when warmed. The cold brew is strong and tasty and their creative lattes sound delicious although I enjoy a plain ol' almond milk latte. The service is usually pretty cheerful and quick and I really enjoy that they have coloring pages and crayons for kiddos. Although, it's hit or miss if you'll actually find a table to sit at when you arrive - the indoor seating is tight and most tables are usually taken by people with computers. Likely due to the free wifi. My favorite part of Armor is their drive thru!! It's actually quick and the service is always great. I've never had a messed up order and my food/drinks are hot. If you're visiting for the nostalgia of following Jen on her IG Rambling Redhead page or No Demo Reno, you'll be happy to find a handful of merch from t-shirts, to cups, mugs and stickers available for purchase. They started a loyalty rewards program a year or so ago and it's not that great. I guess something is better than nothing though

I really dislike leaving reviews but maybe they will improve with some CC and listen to customers. About 5 years ago Armor was consistent with quality and taste, but lately its not been up to par. I'm pretty familiar with coffee shops, coffee, and quality but after a handful of visits with me having to go to another coffee shop afterwards I had to write a review. I love supporting small businesses and hope y'all improve the quality of the drinks and succeed.

One of my favorite coffee spots when in Allen. I like their espresso and they don't burn there beans. I love trying seasonal drinks here and I really like their seasonal waffles. They're always a fan favorite for my kiddos.

I adore Jenn Todryk! I was so stoked to visit her coffee shop. I knew it would be next level design, superb coffee and hospitable service. In baseball, batting .300 is amazing. So if we're using that, Armor is a homerun. But I'm not using that. The live plants were the only exceptional design element. The coffee was akin to those gas station latte dispensers. But the service personnel were very friendly and accommodating. There was ample seating, including casual community-based seating - like couches, etc. And there was a special room that I assume is available for meeting space, etc. The shop was filthy - crumbs and partial cookies in the second tier of the coffee table, a quite dirty floor, a malfunctioning toilet. Very disappointing. I think this might be a result of just setting my hopes too high. I did find out there was a new location in Wylie - so I visited there, as well. It was cleaner and the design was more in line with what I was hoping for from an HGTV star. But my latte was burnt and my wife's soda was total syrup, no carbonation. I'd only go there if I wanted an average or less experience. Sorry Jenn! I still love you!

Cookie butter latte is where it's at! Not too sweet and they have oat milk here! I also ordered the Belgian liege waffle and the turkey and egg white sandwich. The pesto sauce on the sandwich was a nice added touch. The waffle felt a little dry to me. I loved that this place had a drive thru, much appreciated when I had a sleeping baby in the car. read more

Wanted to try this place for a while and I was heavily disappointed. The coffee tasted burned and I was forced to wait 20 mins for this tiny "OG" sausage egg and cheese sandwich. Cherry on top, the sandwich is not good. $9 down the drain. read more

I got the bacon and maple waffles with a London Fog, and it was a perfect start to my day. The waffles were so deliciously sweet and savory and had crisp edges, and I loved that there were so many non-coffee options to choose from. If I'm in the area, I would definitely return to Armor Coffee. read more

Good little shop to pop into. Good amount of seating, and at peak times it will be a little more challenging. Their coffee was very good. Service was quick. Had the avocado toast which mildly lacked flavor. A friend ordered the breakfast tacos and loved them. The patio out front was nice and I liked the hustle and bustle of the main road it sits off of. read more

Armor coffee branding is very on point. I love the interior and it felt like a place where I would like to study or meet up with a friend. It's aesthetically very beautiful. I ordered an iced honey vanilla latte. It was way too sweet. I waited for all the ice to melt and it was still too sweet. I filled a 16oz glass with ice and poured my coffee with melted ice into the glass. It was finally a good sweetness. We also ordered the jalapeño kolaches and a blueberry scone, which were forgotten by our cashier. But, someone else was quick to grab it for us when we asked. We probably won't be back because it's just so far from us, but would love to give it another chance if we're ever in the area. read more

This was third visit in the last year, vacationing in the area from California. Last year we stopped by the coffee shop and this year's trip was to visit the brewery. Outstanding as expected, we got to meet with the owner Mike while at the Brewery, very friendly and accommodating. Only one small hiccup at the coffee shop, mixup on my food order which was corrected after some discussion. Highly recommend and will stop by again. read more

I have been an allen resident my whole life and have watched this coffee shop go from legendary Saxby's to whatever this is. STAFF IS NOT WEARING MASK IN PANDEMIC. ALONG WITH - I ordered a large iced latte with an extra shot... she gave me a small? I said omg i'm so sorry i meant a large (like she charged me for) and she poured it in a large cup and put more milk?.... with GOOD expresso that would've been acceptable but this might have to be the weakest expresso i've ever had... Rude drive through window girl. I'm all about supporting local businesses, but not when it's overran by rude staff. FORGET Starbucks! The coffee here doesn't have to hide behind syrups and sugar to be delicious. And if you DO want flavorings, they have a varied selection, including several surprising fall options. But what I'm really here to shout about is their food menu! This is such a beautiful salmon toast unlike any I've ever had at a restaurant, let alone a drive through coffee place. Huge chunks of salmon topped with greens, fresh red onion, mustard seeds, and pumpkin seeds. Absolutely thrilled to be enjoying these offerings. Purchased a medium iced Tiramisu latte and an egg white and turkey English muffin.The espresso and milk to coffee ratio of the latte was good however, the syrup tasted very artificial. The sandwich was delicious with pesto and what tasted like picked onions. Staff was welcoming. I used the drive through so I did not expedite the interior. Would return for food. read more

Easily, my favorite go-to coffee shop among Mckinney / Allen area. They offer so many options, both healthy or fun. I usually go for a cold brew with oat milk and SF vanilla. They also have my favorite iced chai I have found, to date. If you want something absolutely delicious - they make an in-house McDonald's "McGriddle" mock except with quality ingredients. Highly recommend! Drive-thru too! read more

Sadly disappointed. Five people working and not one said hello. Come on now, where are the manners? The gal who took the man's order in front of us walked away and never returned. We stood for what seemed like forever. Finally a young man impatiently took our order. Our order sat on the counter for some time before we got up to ask if it was ready. The coffee was not hot and my experience was completely ruined. I do hope that the owner reads this and addresses her staff. We need more Christian establishments and would love to see them succeed. read more

I was very thrown off by the pics from the past yelp and when I walked in and saw this AMAZING coffee shop. The space looks incredible! I had zero clue of new ownership or a renovation. My husband and I just moved from Kansas City, so when my friends back home saw I was here, they freaked haha. But I love it all! Plus a drive thru gets you bonus points for when this mama needs a quick pick-me-up and I don't want to get my kids out of the car, lol. My vanilla oatmilk latte was great and my husband loved his americano. I'm excited to go back and enjoy more drinks and the new lovely space....and drive thru! read more

I'm a coffee snob and Armor has never let me down. Great coffee even if you take it black with no sweeteners. The lattes are amazing with caramel coast being my favorite. And the food....wow! I'm always shocked that a little coffee shop has such great breakfast items. These aren't your microwaved sandwiches from Starbucks. The griddle cake is a legit great breakfast sandwich. The waffles are great as well. Someone put some serious effort into coming up with the menu and flavors. Service has always been top-notch - even for someone who uses the drive through more than the inside of the coffee shop. My wife and I have made Armor part of our daily routine. I highly recommend this place. read more

I'm in love! A new place to relax and find the peace and tranquility I have been needing. The staff is super friendly and very attentive! I needed a change of environment and Armor Coffee delivered. ~Food~ I've tried the almond milk lattes with various syrups. Consistent pour with a good balance of coffee. ~Price/Quality/Quantity~ ~$4 (w/ almond milk) not cheap nor expensive ~Atmosphere/Service~ Spacious with quite a bit of seating, though it gets filled early in the morning. My only concern is that service can be indifferent and borderline rude sometimes, especially during a rush. read more

Good service even tho the kitchen was backed up. I ordered the cold brew with toffee nut syrup and almond milk. It was just ok. The avocado toast was definitely a reason to go back tho! Lots of avocado on a really good slice of sourdough bread, radishes and pickled onions on top. Very good!! read more

After making a trip to Greenville for a 30th birthday party, we decided we should go out of our way to go to Armor Coffee. We enjoy keeping up Jenn Todryk and her family on Instagram and were happy to supported their business. They have a great selection of drinks and food (hot items and pastries). My group ordered the cookie butter latte (2 hot and 1 iced) and it was delicious. I appreciated that it was a different flavor that I hadn't had before. We also got several breakfast tacos which were fresh and full of flavor. Lastly, I ordered a iced pumpkin loaf for the road. I couldn't help but take a bite. It was absolutely delicious!!! 10/10 will come back if I'm ever in the area again. Would love to try Armor Brewery next! read more

The coffee was pretty good and well priced. the worker was nice but she informed me that i couldn't get a pretzel because their kitchen closes at 4. i ordered at 4:02. it was a little upsetting because i drove out of my way there for a pretzel, but it's all good. i wish they would advertise that on their website because i would've liked to know that so i could've planned ahead. especially since their website says "full menu available all day" (as linked below). read more

I can't speak to the coffee drinks in the store because I buy whole beans to use at home. The interior is more bright and vibrant than you know who - I usually see multiple customers on computers so that part hasn't changed, and the staff is friendly. If you do not home roast, get your beans here! I love the Village Bold which has notes of dark caramel and sweet cream. Perhaps I have been lucky but the roast has been spot on perfect - dark enough to caramelize the sugar with zero "burnt chocolate". I grind the beans (conical burr) to a fine espresso and use an Andreja Premium machine which produces a rich thick crema that flows out of the portafilter like the last ounce of Guinness from the tap. Catching early pour in a spoon for a taste is enlightening and will make you crave more. Look for notes of dark caramel and sweet cream with a subtle milk chocolate undertone. read more

We were excited to go to Armor coffee after having a perfect evening the day before at Armor Brewery. However, we were disappointed when we went into the coffee shop. No one greeted us as we walked up to the register to order. We had to wait for several minutes with no one in front of us before a young man approached the counter and seemed annoyed that he had to take our order. No one said thank you at the register or when the called my name to pickup my order. I asked for creamer and the guy never acknowledged me but pulled a quart of half and half out of the refrigerator and slapped it on the counter without a word or eye contact! Pretty crappy customer service for a lousy cup of coffee that can be bought anywhere. That's where I'll get my next cup, anywhere but Armor! read more
