For example, within a few days we had to reinstall our kitchen faucet, which they had replaced after putting in new pipes in the kitchen. The faucet was so loose it would not stay upright in the sink and would fall over. While they were working on an upstairs bathroom, I noticed water pouring down the front wall of our house and they were ready to leave for the day without doing anything about it until I pointed it out. And the joint of one of the hot water pipes under our house burst because it was not cleaned properly during installation and corroded (according to the company that fixed it and then inspected the other installations). The burst hot water pipe joint very quickly led to a mold problem and a wiring problem caused by the steam in the walls. We had to get the pipe fixed, mold remediation, walls removed/replaced/repainted, wiring repaired, etc. It cost thousands of dollars, even after our insurance coverage paid for much of it. We asked for a contribution, but B.P. has declined, even though it was 100% their error that caused all of the damage. I had the impression at the time that perhaps our job was being supervised by Moe while his apprentices did the actual work. I am all for teaching on the job, but you need to carefully review their work and just take responsibility for it if someone makes a mistake.

In December 2017, I contacted Sunnyvale Plumbing via Yelp message here. I got a prompt response, and the next day, a plumber Shin came and took care of a couple faucets for me. The prices were very reasonable, and the work done was great. The only issue less than perfect was that Shin's English was quite poor; it was often hard to communicate. I had Shin come out another time for a separate issue in June 2018. Again, his work was great. If I had remember to submit a review at that time, it would have been a 5-star review hands down. In September 2019, I had a water heater that needed to be replaced. I called Sunnyvale Plumbing. To my surprise, Shin was nowhere to be found, and instead a guy named Simon showed up. I didn't think much of it at the time since I just needed a plumber, and Simon seemed to fit the bill. He quoted me $1200 to replace the water heater (documented by text). I was unable to be present that day, but a friend of mine "babysat" for me by being on site. To my later surprise, Simon told my friend that the fee would be $1500, and so my friend dutifully wrote the check on my behalf. Only later did I hear about the discrepancy. I didn't raise stink about it since I wanted to be nice, figured that replacing a water heater is hard work, and assumed perhaps Simon encountered some unexpected costs during the project. Now the ugliness began. In my home where the water heater was replaced, slowly over the next several months one shower after another stopped working properly; in all three stopped working. I asked Simon to come take a look, but he avoided me like the plague. In the past he was always very responsive via text; now I couldn't get him to respond. He wouldn't answer the phone or respond to messages. I was confused but assumed he might have some issues going on in life. Finally, I went with another plumber, who quickly figured out that the showers stopped working because Simon's work on replacing the water heater resulted in debris clogging the hot water lines somewhere. I tried to contact Simon again to notify him; again, he ghosted me. Despite having tried hard to give Simon the benefit of the doubt, now I finally understood Simon's behavior; he knew his work on the water heater caused problems but didn't want to have to make it right. After all, he already had my money in hand. Earlier today I texted Simon to ask him to contact me about the above, telling him I was hoping we could come to a mutually agreeable solution. He actually called me to simply say, "Go find another plumber," and hung up on me. So there you have it: This apparently is the kind of plumber and person Simon is. I miss Shin; he was great. Simon is another story. Today, I hired another plumber. He too (like Simon) is Korean and knows Simon and says they used to work together in the past. He said, "Simon isn't very good. Bad work, dishonest person." Yep.

Jorge, who works with him came out and did a thorough investigation of the place and provided a quote comparable, to the competition. The reason I went with these guys was Jorge impressed me with his attention to detail and thoughtfulness. He explained how pluming worked to me, potential issues with my setup that won't be addressed, what I need to watch out for. I felt like all the steps he laid out were reasonable and I knew very well the quirks with my particular system afterwards. Nothing much to talk about regarding delivery - prompt, on budget, on time, did everything that was promised. I'm no pluming expert, but didn't notice anything out of place from a cursory view. Didn't notice any leaks a couple days later. For future jobs, I'll still reach out to these guys. Hopefully it'll be for something smaller than overhauling my entire sewage system...

The job was complicated by 16 years of rust and hard water and pre-existing terrible cracked granite countertops that hadn't been sealed and protected well at all around the faucet area. Eddie was able to schedule me within 48 hours of my call and Jorge from #1 Honest Plumber showed up ready to go. He inspected the issues with my sink and gave me an extremely reasonable flat-price quote to do the work. I agreed and then watched as Jorge did a skillful surgery to excise what remained of the old faucet, patched up my terrible granite like a dentist would patch up a cavity, and installed and tested my new faucet and soap dispenser. Jorge was polite, friendly, professional, efficient, tidy, careful and didn't even roast me for my ham-fisted attempts at DIY work before he showed up. It doesn't get much better than that! I recently had an unbelievably horrible experience with Fifteen Dollar Sewer Service! I called them…read moreon Saturday to unclog a wash tub in our garage. We waited the 2 hour window. The plumber took nearly an hour jamming a hose down the drain, very roughly. I kept thinking that he was going to break the tub. He got the tub drain unclogged and left. I immediately started a load of laundry, and was surprised to see water spraying all over the floor! It turned out there now was a crack in the bottom of our wash tub after the plumber had worked on it. So I called Fifteen Dollar Sewer to let them know what happened. I was told that I needed to wait for another plumber to come and inspect it and take pictures. We waited the two hour window. A plumber came from Redwood City, agreed as to what happened with the last plumber cracking the tub and told us that at replacement tub would happen that night or the next morning. We would be called with the arrangements. No call, the next day, Sunday at 11:30 am I called an asked what was happening and was told that a plumber needed to come out and inspect the tub. I explained that that already happened and then she apologized and told me that the replacement tub would be that day, Sunday, between 1:30 and 3:30. So we stayed home Sunday afternoon waiting again on the plumber. When no plumber showed up at 5:00 pm, I called again and was told that oh looks like a plumber needs to come out and inspect the tub! I again explained we already have been down that road, and then they said oh yes, sorry looks like the plumber is out on an emergency. We promise to install the new tub tomorrow, Monday at 9:30 - 11:30. 10:30 Monday, Sergio the supervisor shows up. And can you believe not prepared to install the tub, he doesn't even know what sink is the issue. He is there to inspect the situation! When I begin to complain, he tells me not to give him any attitude or he will just walk away and not help me at all. The most unprofessional "supervisor" I have ever encountered. Finally after listening to our whole ordeal, Sergio gives me "his word" that he will replace our cracked tub, and as a sorry we messed up so bad, we will even fix the piping underneath to make future clean outs easier. This will be done tomorrow Tuesday 9:00- 11:00. "You have my word, I make the schedules, I make the decisions on these things..." Tuesday, 10:00, we are again waiting for the plumber, arranging our whole schedules to be home, and we get a voice mail saying that, "no, we are looking at before and after pictures, and we decided we did not crack your tub. We will not replace it." When I called to asked to talk to Sergio, not surprising, he is unavailable to talk to. I was told the before and after pictures show that our sink had scratches in it? What does that have to do with the plumber cracking our sink? How would we crack the sink in the minute the plumber left and me starting a load of laundry? Why would someone make that up? Master Plumbing came out to start work on the weekend and were able to quickly determine where and what the problem was. Over the course of about four weeks, I had to put in a substantial amount of effort to coordinate with different companies to repair the issues in both our unit and the unit below us. Master Plumbing did a fantastic job in helping to make this process as smooth as possible. During the work, they consistently updated me on what was happening, the costs for repairs, and getting us all the information we needed for insurance. All the workmen were friendly and on time. Seeing that I got zero support from our HOA or property management, I want to send a big thank you to Marilee and Juliana who were always pleasant, professional, and prompt any time I called to make a request or get some help. I would never downplay a tradesman's job but this is just greed at it's worst. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE WITHOUT MULTIPLE ESTIMATES AND LOOK OVER THE DETAIL BECAUSE THEY ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST. These are the people that give plumbers and tradesmen bad names. they used the fact that we're a commercial company and run the contract thru prologis to gouge their customers to death. Life savers! After calling several plumbing companies to fix a gas leak, finally found this one…read morethat had the proper equipment to detect and fix the leak. Explained the urgency to have our gas back, they had a Forman call me and schedule something ASAP. The foreman Gustavo was professional, prompt and understanding of our situation. He and his crew did a great job on the fixtures/repairs. They provided a quote and everything was done by a licensed contractor, PG&E certified contractor and with county permits. The job was done and our leak fixed. I would highly recommend Pacific Plumbing for anything you might need, hope it's never a gas leak. The prompt response of the staff as a whole is amazing, we truly appreciate everything. Responsive, prompt, professional, fair priced, and understanding = 5 STARS in all aspects and overall to the company and Gustavo and his team. GREAT JOB!
